Very kind and friendly staff, wait time was less than quoted (25 minutes total to fill out paper work, and complex drug test). Clean office.

But now that the pot biz has entered the Aurora market, this place just doesn't stack up. They are still medical-only, even though the majority of decent pot shops have expanded to include recreational. This alone costs a dispensary 1 yelp star in this day & age. Get with the times! Their selection is quite laughable, they only have a handful of strains on hand and some of them look rather questionable in quality. When I recently asked about their growing process and pesticide-related issues, I was given a shady answer of "we are in line with industry standards"... What does that mean? LOL. Budtenders at most dispensaries have nothing to hide and will tell you exactly what you want to know about their product. Satica is located in a very sketchy stripmall (literally) - they are located next to a popular strip club that is well known for the types of shady and pervy clientele it attracts. Watch your back.

I've looked around at a few dispensaries in the area, but I always come back to Satica. Their…read morefacility is located in a kind of questionable shopping center, but once you're inside the door it's definitely a clean and well-kept secure establishment. The receptionist and staff at the counter recognize me whenever I come in, and they're very friendly, and they always give me any discounts/deals they've got going on, even if I'm not aware of them when I come in. The staff is also knowledgeable about each strain they stock, and are able to make informed recommendations for treating whatever ails you. The selection is not the largest, but all of the product is properly flushed, and it's cured properly, unlike a lot of the tourist trap dispensaries in the area. They usually have several strains of indica, sativa, and hybrids, and the selection is different every time I go, which is nice. They stock a modest array of edibles too, as well as hash oil/shatter and vape pens. They are currently a medical-only dispensary, but I hear tell that they're planning to expand into the recreational market as well.

The doctor even flagged my mothers chart. My mother was scared and very upset. As her daughter responsible for her I was scared to death. What I wasn't understanding was my mother was still fairly independent and fairly sharp cognitive. When the doctor flagged my mother's chart that's when I told my mother she was done with Kaiser. The doctor didn't want to listen to how my mother said she was feeling which I found to be disrespectful. My mother just went to her new doctor ( my doctor) not a Kaiser doctor for her annual checkup, had a cognitive evaluation and was given a clean bill of health. The doctor said cognitively she was normal for 86 years old and that one of her medications can slow the cognitive circuits a little and she was in good shape. The Kaiser doctor never said anything about this medication being able to slow the cognitive circuits a little. We both feel such a sense of relief. I feel I saved her level of independence and quality of life she has.

I've been a Kaiser Permanente member since birth and generally have had positive experiences, but…read moremy recent visit left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. For the past few days, I've been dealing with typical viral cold symptoms that escalated to include a persistent cough, chest pain, shortness of breath, throat irritation, nasal congestion, bloody discharge, and a severe headache that turned into a migraine. Concerned about these symptoms, I tested twice for COVID-19--both negative. After my chest pain worsened, my friends and family urged me to seek urgent care. At urgent care, I explained my symptoms and received a strep, flu, and another COVID test--again, all negative. Despite feeling like there might be an underlying issue causing my symptoms to worsen, I was given a breathing treatment, prescribed an inhaler, and sent on my way, feeling like I had wasted both time and money. After following the care plan to the letter with no improvement, I made an appointment to see my Primary Care Physician (PCP). Instead, I was met by a nurse, Ms. Roberta Owens, at the East Denver Clinic on August 26th. I arrived slightly late, feeling absolutely miserable, and received a call while checking in, warning that my appointment would be canceled if I didn't check in within 10 minutes of the scheduled time. Already struggling to speak due to my symptoms, this added stress was not helpful. Ms. Owens quickly took my vitals and started asking pre-questions. From the start, our exchange felt defensive and combative. I was coughing so severely that it interrupted my speech, yet she continued to push the conversation. There were no tissues in the exam room when I asked for one, adding to my discomfort. I expressed my main concerns--particularly the intense sinus pressure and headaches--and suggested that I might need a referral to an ENT specialist. Instead, she ordered a chest X-ray, which unsurprisingly came back clear. Back in the exam room, Ms. Owens reiterated that what I had was likely just a cold, dismissing my concerns. While I understand that sometimes immediate medical remedies aren't possible, compassion and kindness can go a long way. Unfortunately, Ms. Owens seemed dismissive and didn't listen to understand my concerns. Her demeanor left me feeling emotionally drained on top of already feeling physically unwell. This experience was a stark contrast to the quality of care I've come to expect from Kaiser. I hope that future interactions will be more attentive and empathetic.

I've been going back and forth with them for the last year showing that the EoB shows insurance has been paid out. My physicals/ wellness visits are to be covered at 100%. and it says so on my insurance card. They attempted to charge me $95 at the visit, but after I protested and explained to them that I have a ppo plan that is in network with bcbs and they still charged me $25 copay. I gave them $25 that they refused to reimburse. Secondly, during the visit I asked to have my script refilled and they said it was a "formality" to get drug tested because it is a controlled substance anxiety med and they need to make sure I'm not drug seeking. I took the test because I felt obligated to prove that I would pass, as well as get my script, but I felt so embarrassed and low. I've never had any other doctor do this, especially because I infrequently take this med. Fast forward nearly a year later, and I get a notification from an out of network testing facility for said drug test... the doctor sent the drug test to an out of network diagnostics facility and now I owe $441. Lastly, the facility is not maintained and dirty. The equipment they use is really out-dated. It looks like a shady walk-in clinic.

I honestly can't thank NP Peter Yu enough. I had been struggling with mold toxicity along with a host of other symptoms and felt truly stuck, but he completely changed that for me. From the very beginning, he listened so well and really took the time to hear my whole story. Prior, I had seen my PCP, an allergist, and had countless visits to urgent care where they all could not find a cause for what I was experiencing, recommending I address "anxiety." On the other hand, NP Yu explained everything in a way I could actually understand, breaking down everything and helping me see the bigger picture of what was going on in my body. He identified the right testing, uncovered clear biological markers, and built a comprehensive plan to address the root issues. For the first time, I felt like I wasn't just being treated for symptoms, I was actually being cared for as a whole person. Because of his guidance, I've experienced dramatic improvements that I never thought were possible, and also genuinely learned so much. What really sets him apart is not just his knowledge, but the way he genuinely cares. I left every appointment feeling heard, understood, hopeful, and supported. If you're on the fence about functional medicine like I once was, I can honestly say NP Yu is the person who can help open that door for you. He's made such a difference in my life, and I'm truly grateful.
