I have been a patient at Healthmark Center for years, while the day to day workings are sometimes less that perfect, my overall experience has been exceptional, most especially, treatments from their chiropractor, Dr. Flansberg. He is exceptional on all levels! I began treatments with him back in 1991, after a horrible auto accident. He was not affiliated with Healthmark at the time, but joined them later on. I use to see one of the PAs for my annual physical exams, but she has left and since they don't take my insurance, I have had to go to another healthcare practitioner for these exams. They also have a wonderful acupuncture practitioner that I highly recommend. I give these folks a thumbs up, they care! Linda read more

If I could give Zero Stars I Would! My ATTENDING PHYSICIANS REPORT was faxed in on 4/15 by me and a member of my STD departmen to More than One Fax # we were given. He called & I called to follow up on these and told Nothing was received. So we Both email in the Form Emphasizing urgency. I then call to follow up on my stuff 4/16 & 4/23, and get the confirmation of firm received with reassurance. Well I am Still wondering Why I still am not receiving benefits. MAY 13th, I receive word from my Insurance company that Nothing has been received NOTHING ALMOST MONTH LATER! I again call and I am told that yes it is found in the system ... It was First Then Sent to my Needed Receiving Parties for Insurance n Work Benefits! Worst Place seeing to taking care of patients who can not take care of themselves dur to current medical connections! I Thank God I recovered well enough to get onto looking into things for myself After recovering from surgery & car crash. read more

Hmmm. I just don't know. I am going with OK for now and will change if my opinion goes up or down. I have seen two doctors here, had several physicals here, and consider them my primary care physicians. PROS: They do blood work on site, and the doctors will review with you your blood work after every physical. I was found to be low on Vitamin D and given a powerhouse D scrip which got me back on track a few years back. Useful. CONS: Hurry up and wait: They ALWAYS run late Missed Medical issues: these guys missed chronic anemia for years (that ultimately resulted in emergency surgery for me when caught by another doctor) AND a thyroid issue for about 7 years, also caught and treated by another doctor- wow did my life improve. Expensive tests: I was told to get about $1000 of imaging - I had the results sent to the requesting Healthmark physician and a secondary doctor. The secondary doctor was shocked they would send me for this imaging as she felt it was expensive and unnecessary. This was reflected when I went back to Healthmark- My Doctor who wanted the imaging could not FIND the images or report and shrugged and said, oh well- and it did not change her diagnosis or recommendations- SO CLEARLY the imaging was NOT needed. The in-house referral system: Additionally, there is a lot of pressure to give up your own doctors, and go to the Healthmark associates. I have managed to avoid this, but there is a huge amount of pressure. See THEIR Dermatologist, THEIR OBGYN. No thanks. As I am getting really good advice from the ones I have been seeing for 20 years..... Unimpressive: All in all, I have had no major breakthroughs in Health here and two significant complete misses: The same old stuff you get in magazines: Keep your weight down, eat well, exercise. There has never been an offer for a flu shot, and they recommend going to Walgreens for vaccinations....so, um... Hmm. I am not impressed. I switched Doctors from Dr. Vanduzer-Moore whom I found rather hateful, disengaged, and semi-retired in mind if not in body. Dr. Haber and Dr VM missed the thyroid issue, clearly apparent to other Drs. when they reviewed the same bloodwork. Hmmm. Why am I still using these guys??? read more

1 start for billing!!! My fiance went to a younger PA for blood tests just to make sure he was ok & that he was in good general health. Since he has no insurance we got a "reduced rate" & paid appx $700 out of pocket. That was in NOVEMBER. It's MARCH & we have received multiple letters from LabCorp claiming we owe $1443. I'm sick of calling Cyndi in billing & honestly don't think this is the patient's responsibility. At this point we are prepared to take legal action for harassment & predatory practices. Make sure if you are self pay to get a document proving you have satisfied your balance since apparently they lack the ability to handle billing issues. 4 stars for Drs. I originally saw Dr.Saeed for chronic heel pain. While he was excellent at relieving my pain I didn't like that the initial consultation was about $100 and I had to wait several weeks to go to a different clinic for actual treatment. Waste of money, gas, & time. read more

Started coming here about 7 years ago and loved it. I recommended them to family and friends because the doctors were excellent and staff super friendly and welcoming. The past 3 years or so they have gone sharply downhill, mostly likely due to the constant expansion. None of the doctors i originally came here to see still work here, and I can understand why. Customer service is terrible, billing dept is super sketchy and often provide me with incorrect information, and they seem to be shuffling through doctors left and right. Recently they wouldn't refills my heart medication unless I came in for a visit. I called to schedule a visit with my now third GP and they claim he isn't accepting appointments of this nature. What? He's been my doctor for 2 years and I need my prescription refilled, and you won't do it unless i schedule an apt, but won't let me schedule an apt... frustrating. Then scheduled me with another doctor i know nothing about two weeks out, then called to cancel the day before. i'll be attending my last apt for the purpose of not running out of my heart meds then will be talking the family elsewhere asap! read more

This was once a great place for health care. But it has now fallen to the almighty dollar.

Just switched and have been here 3 times now. Doctor Reddy is terrific - very thorough, caring, responds to online messages. Checkin was good. Nice that they do blood draws on site. Major frustration with MAs - huge problem getting medication ordered (tried to order via online system but no response after 2 days, then phoned 3-4 times always got voicemail and they never called back). Finally a head MA returned my 4th call and got things moving but it took 5 days and a lot of angst on my part. I look for both good doctors and for good staff. Will keep going because Dr Reddy is so good but really hope they work on the MA situation because I tend to deal with them more often. read more

Let me preface this review by saying that the doctors within the Healthmark practice are generally very good and seem to genuinely care about their patients. That said, it is nearly impossible to get in to see them unless you schedule weeks or months in advance - which is hardly practical given that you can't predict when you're going to get sick. The front desk and PAs, on the other hand, are consistently rude, condescending, and rarely return phone calls. These are the people that are the face of the practice and are supposed to be there when patients have an immediate need. Unfortunately, interacting with them is an extremely frustrating experience (especially when you're not feeling well) which is why I'm giving this office 1 star. Doctors - PLEASE invest in your practice. Overhaul your staff. There are plenty of empathetic medical and scheduling professionals looking for work that would be an asset to you and your patients. The people that you have in place today are giving your patients a terrible experience and unfortunately, I will be looking for a new primary care physician as a result. read more

I went to Healthmark because I was interested in doctors who were willing to consider alternative medicines. Here is a recap of one of my experiences: I went for a check-up and was told that I would receive a letter in the mail if everything was o.k. If not, I would get a call. So, I was quite pleased when I received my labs in the mail. Until.... I came across this highlighted section which said my cholesterol was too high and I should go on an South Beach type diet immediately and then get my blood checked again in three months. A few weeks later, I had reason to go back to Healthmark. I told my doctor I was very dissapointed that I didn't get a call and that my diet consists of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fish, and NO fast or processed foods. He told me I could become a vegan and it wouldn't matter, it was hereditary and I needed to go on medication right away. Hmm, glad I didn't wait three months to go back. I was given a prescription for cholesterol lowering medication and never, ever, asked to return to check oh.... I don't know.... the enzyme levels in my liver which can be negatively affected by these medications!!! This is just one of several negative encounters that both myself and my husband experienced. I have not been back and I don't recommend ever going. read more

The front office staff absolutely stink! They are rude, put you hold constantly, are sort of snotty and if you leave a message no one ever calls back. They lost me as a patient even though I LIKED my doctor! Obviously, the doctors here are prisoners of the front office otherwise they would have fired them a LONG time ago. :( Ugh. Also, I reported to my doc that I was having trouble sleepng because my legs twitched all the time when I was falling alseep and he was unable to diagnose RLS. I went to another doctor and she knew right away. In addition, I showed him an issue with my toe nail. It looked very weird. He said he had never seen anything like it. Turns out, it was toe fungus. I could not imagine anything being worse than my experience with Healthmark. I'm 25 years old and went to Healthmark for a simple physical and pap. I took the morning off work to arrive at 8:00 am. An hour and a half later - still no doctor. Oh! They forgot to tell her I was scheduled! So I had to see the PA. During the course of my physical with the PA, she asked if I would like bloodwork. I asked if this was included in the copay for the visit, to which she responded "oh yes of course." She then asked if I would like a vitamin D test - and again I asked if the test was included "yes yes it is." Well about a month later, I get a bill from LabCorp for $475!!!!!!!!!! half of which was the vitamin D test! I frantically call Healthmark asking what happened and why I received this bill. The office manager was immediately defensive and RUDE and told me "well you should never listen to a PA." I then asked her why I would ask for a $250 vitamin D test when I live in Colorado. I'm 25 years old... how am I supposed to afford a $250 unnecessary vitamin d test to which she responds "well you don't really know what you need as far as bloodwork goes do you." She could not have been more unhelpful or more rude. She had absolutely no sympathy for my situation and now I can't afford to see another physician after paying $475 for bloodwork. She finally told me she would do what she could to remedy the situation - yet I never heard from her again. One more thing - 3 days after the initial visit to Healthmark, I received a letter from the Doctor I was supposed to see. She was leaving the practice! So they were still scheduling patients for this Doc knowing she was about to leave the practice and leave her patients without a physician. All in all - I came out of the experience with NO doctor, a bill for $475, and a vow never to return to such a horrible horrible practice. read more

Be careful! This organization is kind of fishy and rife with revenue-boosting internal referrals. Whatever you might have -- from a broken arm to prostate cancer to alien-abduction probe scars -- your referrals will suspiciously not reach outside of the Healthmark conglomeration. I felt neglected by one, Joel Berenbeim, D.O. (read: "not M.D.") and his office is very businesslike. "Businesslike" is good in a business-only business, but this is NOT the way to create a personalized health-care environment. It feels like no one cares, not even the doc. Do not be talked into their treatments without doing your own research and at least one, non-Healthmark second opinion. Can't stress it enough -- Be Careful! read more

I'm one of those guys that doesn't go to the doctor much. Frankly, I don't really get sick all that often and I'm lucky enough (or is it mad skills?) that I don't get hurt much either. However, every couple of years I need to see a doctor, so I grab the book that came with my insurance plan and pick a name that sounds like a good doctor. If you are thinking, "Hey great idea!" you are wrong. I've seen doctors I don't trust, doctors that don't return phone calls, and doctors that can't bill my insurance right so they try and make me do it. Last week, that all changed forever. I've been having trouble with my foot. I saw two different doctors for it, one was my wife's doc, the other was a friend's. Neither one was very helpful or left me feeling confident. Both said to wait and see what happens. (Hello? Standard doctor avoiding male here! I didn't come see you until I had already waited so long I was ready to cut the stupid thing off myself.) Then, I saw Dr. Saeed at Healthmark. Healthmark was founded by a guy (Dr. Robert Gleser) who apparently was ahead of the curve on the whole integrated medicine thing. Do enough Google-ing and you'll find him quoted in a lot of articles (including the Wall Street Journal) that are 8 to 10 years old and are all written in the "hey this is really unusual" style regarding the concept of add non-traditional therapies to standard medicine in caring for patients. His book is out of print, but sounds like a lot of those books out there today making the rounds on Oprah. I guess timing is everything. Anyway, Dr. Saeed is a podiatrist and he is top-notch, first rate, outstanding. Quite frankly, he is the best doctor I have ever been to. He understood what was wrong with my foot and more importantly helped ME to understand. He also was able to break out my symptoms so I knew what needed taken care of now (shaving off part of a callus and digging out it's "core") and what was coming later (tarsal tunnel causes that falling asleep kind of burning on the bottom of your foot.) Since this is a Healthmark review, I'll move on from Dr. Saeed. This is a multi-doctor practice. Sometimes this makes me nervous. At other doctor offices with several doctors I start to feel like I'm at Great Clips for medicine. I didn't feel that way here. They've got 15 or so doctors here, but there are specialists sprinkled in there. The staff at the front desk is both friendly and professional, and it was easy to make appointments. They also seem like they know what they are doing with the paperwork so I don't think I'll be hearing from the insurance company. I have an appointment this week with the woman who will be my new primary doctor, so I'll update this review if things change, but for now, I highly recommend Healthmark. By the way, I haven't used it, but they also have acupuncture and chiropractic here, so if you are looking for that, these might be your guys. Their website is www.healthmark.org -- You can tell by the fact that they get to use the Healthmark name despite the American Heart Association trademark of the same thing that they have been around for a while. My husband and I have been going here for 3 years, and have referred several friends, and without exception we've all been very pleased with everyone we've at Healthmark. Please note this review is specifically for the cardiologist, Dr. Flanigan. I'm not a fan of "alternative" medicine; if something has been proven to work, it's called simply "medicine." Everything else is wishful thinking and placebo effect. Hence, I was a little taken aback on arrival at Healthmark. It's clear from the main entry, where herbs and such line the walls, this isn't any ordinary medical office. My primary care physician had referred me, though, so I decided to go through with the appointment. First, the desk staff are marvelous. I'd forgotten my insurance card and had to call home to have it brought to me. Not once did the people behind the front counter make me feel like a nuisance who was wasting their time. Second, the nice woman who did my blood draw was lovely, friendly, and aced finding a vein, which is really difficult on me. Finally, Dr. Flanigan himself is personable, professional, and really knows what he's talking about. I say this because (as another reviewer already said) I manage my own healthcare. Yes, it takes time and effort to research and keep up with current medical studies and pharmaceutical information, and sometimes it's downright annoying to have to call out a professional when they've said or done something that sets off your cognitive dissonance, but it's worth it. Why? They may not be aware they dropped the ball. They're humans, too. What Dr. Flanigan said and did during my appointments was right on the money, down to the advice he gave on changing some personal habits. That's rare these days - I had to see 9 general practitioners in 10 years to find one that listened and was up-to-date on his own profession. The investment of time and effort is worth it, though, because I'M worth it. So if you have a potential heart issue, go to Healthmark and see Dr. Flanigan. I have zero experience with any other professional there, but if/when I do, I will update. read more

I have been going to Health Mark for several years. I first started seeing Dr. Teresa Snowden. The first visit wasn't so bad. Then the second year she came in and was very condescending calling me obese, etc. Not to mention, she was all tough with her words as she sat down at her computer asking me questions. I said to myself, "what a rude doctor".....and had a feeling she was on her way out. Needless to say, I got a letter a few months later stating she moved to Texas. Second issue.....when I needed a prescription refill and they are slow as molasses in returning the request to the pharmacy. You cannot call them as you are better off getting a better response from your cable company. No one answers the phone, nor returns phone calls. Finally, this year I went to my annual physical in which they scheduled me with a nurse when I requested to be seen by a new primary care physician. Needles to say, I received an email today that the nurse is no longer with the firm. Oh...and one last thing.....they said they would no longer see my wife because she wouldn't consent to doing blood work at her last appointment. She didn't feel it was justified since she just had a thorough physical after having a kid 9 months ago and they have access to all of her medical records. read more

I had an appointment for pre screening test. When I got there they told me they no longer take my Cigna insurance. I told them it would have been nice to find this out earlier.I made this appointment a month ago and the told me they were in the process of contacting all Cigna patients. I have benefitted tremendously from the chiropractic care that I have received from Dr. Ed Flansburg for several years. Dr. Ed. is highly knowledgeable, listens carefully to my description of how I feel , keeps a good history on file, and makes lasting adjustments. My history is that after an athletic injury, a surgeon recommended that he operate on my shoulder to correct the issue I was having. . Fortunately a friend referred me to Dr. Ed. He evaluated me, treated the injury and I did not require surgery. His adjustments took care of the problem! I give him the highest recommendation and am a grateful client. read more

I went to Dr. Berenbeim at Healthmark in Denver starting in May 2009 for a fairly serious hip issue that developed after the birth of my second child (combined IT band and piriformis muscle issues). I was in so much pain that there were days when I couldn't walk or stand. I also had near-chronic sciatic pain while sleeping at night. My personal trainer referred me to Dr. Berenbeim after his wife had been successfully treated by him for issues related to her M.S. I was skeptical. I've never tried acupuncture but had dabbled in chiropractic and love a good massage. The concept of Osteopathic medicine is that the body can heal itself. I like the idea but felt that my condition was so advanced that there needed to be some major intervention. I was wrong. It's been a slow recovery but with twice monthly manipulations at the doctor's office and a prescribed set of stretches that I do daily on my own at home, my pain is nearly gone (it's July now). I'm back to running and working out and am only going to see the doctor once a month. As for the former post about the practice being all about referrals, after 3 months in treatment, the doctor has never once mentioned that I should see any other practitioner. I didn't find the place "fishy" at all. In fact, everyone there has been quite professional and pleasant. And best of all, I feel like I have my hip back which I wasn't sure was possible. read more

I have had enough of the condescending and curt attitude of this front office staff. I was willing to drive 5 hours to see Dr Gretchen Frey and put up with this treatment until my call to the office this morning. Be prepared to be ignored or snapped at when you do go in and, on your way out, stand in a long line that goes across a busy doorway to "settle up". Can you say violations of the privacy act? Dr. Frey is amazing, but I give up. After reading some of the other reviews, I guess I should be expecting a certified letter dismissing me from this practice when I've already gone. My foot doctor, Dr Saeed, is through Healthmark, meaning they are the ones who handle appointments and billing. I find them easy to get in touch with, they work to find appointments that fit my schedule, and are always friendly and helpful whenever I'm checking in or checking out. And billing has always been handled correctly. I don't know about the other doctors here, but Healthmark + Dr Saeed make everything smooth and easy when it comes to the business side of the doctors office. read more

I had been a patient of Health Mark for the last fifteen years and was very happy with the care I received. I liked that there were several specialists under one roof and the medical care was coordinated in house. Last month just a few days before my annual exam I received a letter stating that my doctors were no longer with the practice and I was assigned another doctor. One of my doctors was a specialist and when I called to ask about another, I was given a phone number to a specialist at another location. They knew that I was on Medicare and needed a referral. The support staff was terrible and it was insulting getting a letter days before appointments. The new owners handled the transition in the worst possible way. I am thrilled with the new practice that I have found. A patient doesn't have to except terrible service. read more

I've used this place as my primary doctor for 3...? Years now. I've had few good experiences with this doctors office. I've seen many of the doctors there. The rooms don't even look like normal doctor rooms. It's like going into an office, which looks messy. Just simply not what I'd expect walking into a medical room. The doctors seem to be on edge EVERY time. Never see a smile on their face, and often feel rushed out. I don't recommend this place. It has not gotten any better since I started seeing them a couple years ago. I really suggest learning how to communicate in a way that's warm and welcoming, as it seems like the doctors here are emotionless and awkward. read more

For gynecology, Dr. Frey is incredible. The rest of my experiences for internal medicine however have been awful here. First, I was over prescribed antibiotics for a simple sinus infection, which led me to contract C-diff. Because of it I had to be hospitalized. I called several times to report this incident so they were at least aware of the matter and so it wouldn't happen to anyone else, but no one ever got back to me. I recently came in for another issue and they basically just medicated the symptoms. The nurse had zero bedside manner and was condescending and uncaring in regards to the overall treatment of my health issue. I was shocked by the lack of a follow-up plan and abysmal level of customer service. I will not be going back here nor would I recommend this institution to anyone looking for qualified healthcare. read more

I have never experienced more disrespect from a health care provider in my life. Unjust charges and negligent behavior from the complete staff. If you would like to even speak to your provider you will need to make an appointment because their "Patient Portal" is just a means to look technologically current. This review is for Hani Saeed and his assistant Frank. What sweetness and care I received from both of them. I went for what I suspected was plantar fasciitis. I was right. Frank did all the xrays to make sure that is what it is. He comes across as a gentle giant. So well mannered and pleasant. Something that seems to be rare nowadays. Dr. Saeed is so energitic, pleasant, always a smile, good listener, and good at giving advice to stay out of his office. I have seen Dr. Saeed and Frank maybe 4 times in the last 2 yrs. Three of those times I have had to have shots in my foot. Dr. Saeed is so gentle and has a trick of spraying something that freezes the injection spot so that it does not hurt as much as it would if he didn't. If you deep breath at the same time it really does not hurt that much. I would recommend Dr. Saeed in a heartbeat. I never had an insurance issue, the front desk is always pleasant and helpful. Their waiting room can use a little tlc, but overall it's fine. I called the billing person for the office to ask which of the medical docs were on my insurance. She was very helpful. I have yet to make an appt with one, but will soon and will report back. read more

Horrible communication, can't get a straight answer and no return phone calls. Had 2 virtual call appointments that dr didn't show. Then told couldn't take care and of issue via virtual call even after I was told they could. Left 6 messages. Dr., MA, office Manager and receptionist. All promised to call back! MA promised to take care of and 2 weeks later, nothing! No resolution and no call!!! My family has been going here for 20 years and when Dr. Gleser retired the practice is no longer the same...it's horrible! read more

I see several people complaining about the front desk / office staff. I have to say my experience was great. The front desk staff were fast, polite, and made things easy. I am seeing Ken Gilmet as my G.P., and so far he's been great. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone. Bonus: They can do almost every test on site. read more

HealthMark is an inefficiently run office with an administrative staff unable to answer basic questions--like why it's necessary to get an appointment for a routine lab service. The answer I was given: "I don't know. I don't have a degree in lab." The MD I see is certainly competent and pleasant, but I don't choose to waste any more of my time with their front office. read more

Really a poorly run office. Not really sure who to hold accountable as they seem to completely change staff every few months and fire people. Doctors seem to leave fairly often too. They are not responsive to your questions or to the pharmacy even if they have questions about a script. I have twice had doctor's here prescribe me something I am allergic to (I'm allergic to one thing). Luckily both times the pharmacy caught it and I wasn't given it as I wouldn't be able to write this review. I wasn't even notified recently when my doctor left. I don't have much of an issue with the doctors themselves as I believe they have been okay. The rest of the place is a complete mess. read more

If I could rate zero stars, I certainly would. I am appalled by the "service" provided here. I had an incompetent nurse practitioner, Grace, see me for abdominal pain. I asked several questions regarding possible diagnoses and courses of treatment to which she responded, "I don't know." I let it go as she ordered tests elsewhere to address two possible issues. I had to call and leave a message in order to get a call back with results (something I've had a historic issue with at Healthmark). Grace called and stated everything looked normal....and then proceeded to say an organ she'd ordered to be imaged had not showed up on the scan. Normal?! She then was unable to answer why that could happen. Again with the "I don't know". I asked her to have someone who could answer my questions to call me back. Instead, she herself called back with more of the same and to cover herself and this sham of a medical operation, I'm sure for legal reasons, to say she recommended another test. She did actually clarify why the test didn't show the organ. After 16 years as a nurse practitioner, it seems odd she had to Google the answer, er, consult with someone else and get back to me. She also stated that the tests she'd ordered to address the concern weren't actually effective for addressing both possibilities. Note, there was no mention of this in my appointment yesterday. Perhaps it would have been prudent to mention this and even schedule both tests... (Additionally, my primary care Dr apparently left the practice in May much to my surprise when I called to make an appointment yesterday. No notice to patients?) read more

Ok, so I've been going to Healthmark for about two years now and I've just about had enough. Here's a break-down of my stars: - 1 star for the dermie Dr. Krywonis - 1 star for the blood draw team and nursing staff For those of you unfamiliar with Healthmark, on paper, it seems like the perfect place -- Kind of like the show Private Practice. The Utopian atmosphere ends shortly after entering the building. The nurses are incredible and take the time to answer any and all questions you may have. The doctors, however, schedule appointments in 15-minute increments and are almost always running late (even early in the morning). While appointments are relatively easy to come by, don't expect much face time with an actual doctor. And while I love the dermatologist on staff, she's always in a rush to see her next patient. And I get it, it's a business and we all have to make money, but to all of Healthmark's doctors: Take that extra 5 minutes with us! As for the acupuncture at HM, don't bother. Matt seems to know his stuff but pushes Chinese herbs and supplements like they're candy. When I resisted citing my doctor's and pharmacist's concerns, he responded by telling me that my doctor and pharmacist don't know what she's they're about. Without getting into too much detail, I'll just say this about my overall experience: I don't pay $70 for an acupuncture session to feel belittled and ignorant. Overall, the front desk is adequate, if not understaffed. They started an online portal that is helpful but as of now, I'm looking for a new general practice doctor so I don't think I'll be using the online portal too much. One final thought: This place is always packed so clearly they don't care about the negative reviews. But here's one small piece of advice just in case someone at HM is actually reading this: Treat your patients like human beings with problems who are often scared and nervous and not like cattle waiting to be branded. I've read the bad reviews for HealthMark and I'd like to explain some things. They're all misinformed about why docs only spend 15 minutes. Your insurance (and Medicare) dictates what the docs will be reimbursed for -- a short visit or an extended visit. If you want to see and talk with your physician for longer than 15 minutes ask for an extended appointment. But you may wind up having to pay more if your insurance company only will reimburse for a short visit. That's why it seems as if the docs don't spend enough time with you. As for why the docs are always late, think about it. Somebody wants MORE than 15 minutes. Iif it's warranted the docs will take the extra time, causing the next appointment to be late. And let's say you have an emergency going on at home and you don't know what to do, maybe go to the hospital or just see if you can get into the doctor's office, or say your child ingested some bad stuff and you want to know what to do. It could very well be that the doc is responding to that, and that's why the next appointment will be late. They do the best they can trying to serve their patients and meet the requirements of the insurance system. I've been a patient of Dr. Robert Gleser's for about a decade, and I've been to many of the other docs at the HealthMark clinic, including the great dermatologist there, can't remember her name, and Dr. Rita Starrit. I've seen Cathy, the nurse practitioner (can't remember if she's a physician's assistant), Dr. Saeed (fabulous foot and ankle surgeon), and Daneen, the physical therapist. They're all "top docs (and assistants)" and they all do their best to make sure their patients get the best medical care possible under the current health care system. As for the new electronic system, give it a chance. I use it and I always hear back. And if the advice isn't helpful or correct, REPLY!! You'll always get a reply back. And if you're concerned about your problem (like the person who complained about the advice to go on a diet), SAY SOMETHING! Don't complain just because you're unhappy with what they said. Give them the opportunity to be corrected. MANAGE your health care...it's your responsibility under our current system. Carping and complaining is always easier than trying to take personal responsibility. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my health care, because I've learned how to work within the system and get my own health care needs met, and these people are indeed AWESOME! read more

This place was really disappointing. I've been here several times now and the doctors are always running late (even at 9 in the morning). Both receptionists were rude to me, and when I went to their dermo she prescribed this really harsh stuff for me that caused more problems than the one that brought me in. There are absolutely better doctors than the ones here - go and find one of them! read more

Not sure what happened to the Healthmark I know but its not the same caring place I was use to. Dr. Ed is the best and has always fixed me but the overall experience in the office has declined. I get too many emails about my appointment (finally opted out) when I call to make appt they never seem to find my records ( i now book in person) and it's just not something I look forward to going to anymore. However I can't stress enough if you have back, neck or leg pain do not get surgery until you see Dr. Ed. He is a life saver and has truly made me healthier! read more

Regularly unavailable staff and inflexible scheduling. Front desk and scheduling staff have not been personable or have been inattentive to patient needs. Wait times to see a doctor, even if you are the first client of the day, are super long. Dr Snowden was short, rude and apparently could only spare 5 minutes with me only to give me nothing. Dr Wells was nice but not enough to have me continue. I liked Dr Fry but she's rarely available. Happier to take my business elsewhere, and they didn't seem to care when I said it. I had a wonderful first experience at Healthmark with my new PCP, Dr. Haber. She was empathetic, warm, and I felt like she really understood. I did not feel judged, or rushed, or made to feel like I was the problem. I also really appreciated that she didn't treat just *a* symptom, but made it clear that all symptoms are interrelated. I can't believe others have had a poor experience with this place! I have seen several of the doctors (the stand outs being Dr. Ed and Dr. Saeed) and never had an issue. In fact, it has been just the opposite. Not only were the women at the front desk efficient but they squeezed me in with Dr. Saeed on 1 days notice when I fractured my foot. The nurses are patient, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to be around. I have never had a doctor spend so much time explaining xrays, my injury, and options to me as Dr. Saeed did. I also love that many doctors here will give you herbal remedies to try either instead or in addition to any prescriptions they might suggest. I just moved back to Denver after DC and I think these people writing poor reviews may not realize that these are some of the nicest doctors in the entire country. My review for the doctors at Healthmark is about a 4 or a 5. This review ONLY pertains to some of the folks at the front desk. For the context of this review I have been with Healthmark for several years and during my numerous visits I have found most of the receptionists cold and rude at times. No smiles, just cold "business" stares. Again not all but most. For example, one receptionist sighed after setting up my appointments. Several did not even look at me for the entire time they made appointments. Almost every time I go to the front desk I feel like I am bothering them because of their demeanor. The greeter is usually pleasant but some of these folks need to take classes in customer service and communication. But my experience today is the deal breaker for me. I had an appointment and was told to sign a "release" form which basically stated that no matter how "negligent" the doctor might have been that he/she would not be held responsible for any injuries caused to me. This may be standard practice but I am not willing to let someone do whatever they want and not have accountability for it. I value my health and I reacted angrily but did not shout, swear or insult the receptionist. When I bluntly stated that I would not sign the form and that I was not informed about this prior to the appointment she gave me a cold stare, a dirty look and appeared in shock as if I had spoken in French. She was literally surprised that I was not willing to sign the release form. I informed her that I was skipping the appointment and she mockingly gave me a "you have a nice day" comment. I responded in kind and she mocked me with another comment. I am seeking medical treatment, not signing up for a gym membership. I expect to be treated with respect at all times and have not been treated that way by several folks at the front desk for years so forgive me for getting angry at that. I react in kind sometimes after being treated basically like crap for awhile. *** I have found several doctors to be excellent at Healthmark but I am not going to put up with the front desk anymore and am going elsewhere from now on. read more
