I visited during my occupational health screening on a weekday noon time. Parking was free and ample. The waiting room was jam packed with people. The receptionist was friendly. The clinic mostly had people who was visiting for worker's compensation assessments and people like me who needs to get health screening completed for new employments. I appreciated the sense of humor Marinel had for me as I got to spend nearly 5 hours to complete drug screening. I wish I had known how long the process would take at this clinic prior to my arrival. I hadn't eaten or drunken anything that day. I felt like fainting by the time I got to leave for home past 5pm. It would be nice if there was a larger waiting room or appointment system. Or an explainer before I sign in. Free WiFi maybe. A book to read. Magazines to flip through. Something. You are not allowed to leave the premise until everything is complete. This is done to prevent tampering drug screening specimen and what not. I understand the rationale but sheesh....... It was torturous just to sit there with an empty stomach and 6 tiny bottles of water to drink.........No more and no less. I've never had to pray to the Pee Pee God before this that I'd have something to put in a cup for the deity. Warning everyone to bring their own source of entertainment, including a phone charger and something to eat and drink BEFORE YOU SIGN IN. Once you are there, you cannot leave the premise until you are completely done with everything. It will be at least 3-5 hours ordeal. read more

Pro: moderate size parking lot. Con: small wait room, late staff It should come to no surprise as to why all concentra location have bad reviews here on yelp. Had to get a physical & blood test for employment so this location was chosen based on distance. This concentra open at 8am and we got here at 7:58 am and business was already open and Jam Pack with people already in the waiting room. The front desk personal said that because a physical was required that we had to wait for the rest of the staff to arrive and that would take an hour. I think it kind of dumb to open at 8 am and only half the staff is working while waiting for the rest to arrive later on. The estimated wait time was 2.5- 3 hours to complete everything so pack your patience as you slowly sit there waiting, waiting, and some more waiting as you slowly die on the inside. All in all, if your employer requires you to complete your labs, physicals, or mask fit test at any concentra then know your most likely fuck cause any day/ any time you chose to go it will be pack full of people. read more

The worst place to get your DOT, they make you wait 2 hours just to have your vitals taken and then 1 more hour to have the tests done, also one of the medical examiners named (Mkpouto Udosen) had the worst attitude ever, she asks you for information that you have previously presented and lies saying that they don't have that information, and that is not her problem, when you have proof that they did receive it. Also this has been the worst clinic I have ever been to and the most expensive, I do not recommend them at all, dont waste your time. read more

I arrived at 8:05 am on a Wednesday morning for preemployment drug screen and TB test. There were 5 people in the lobby when I arrived. The staff are very polite, but the wait time is nutso. During my first 35 mins there it was a lot of back and forth, but I only heard one person being called back to be seen. They called my name 3 separate times for 3 items, but only gave me a very generic form when I first arrived. When they called my name it was something else to fill out. I completely understand getting information, but do so all together. I felt like it was when I call customer service and they transfer me to 5 different people before a resolution can be determined. I had to come to this location as my future employee choose them and they are the closest to my house. I'm dreading having to return for my TB reading. I'm going to have to carve out an hour or two just to get my arm read. UGH! read more

I went to do my DOT Physical Exam. They do not take appointments for some reasons. I was waiting almost 4,5 hours in my car because they do not have enough chairs. Definitely do not recommend this place unless you have a bunch of free time. read more

Concentra - Urgent Care Near Me - Gaithersburg, Maryland

This location is convenient if you live in the Gaithersburg area. There is plenty of parking. If you have kids with you? Prepare for the long wait. If your about to die? I wouldn't suggest going here. Obviously it's an urgent care so their equipment is limited. This location is stupid busy! Depending on the time you go I guess it's suppose to be "slower"? I suggest not going past 5:00pm because there is only one doctor. The only good thing is that they close at 8:00pm but as I am typing it's 7:52pm and a Doctor has not yet seen me. I came in here at 6:39pm and there was 4 people ahead of me. I came down here because I was injured at the job so this was the only location my companies insurance would cover. The staff overall was nice! But if they are going to be open till 8:00pm? I suggest they keep the second doctor around as well. I will not be going here anymore. I gave it 3 stars because of the fact they have a water machine and Keurig. read more

The nurse and doctor was great. Even the long redundant check in was ok. What was awful was having told these people several times that I DO NOT NEED A DOT physical and even with my work order authorization stating NON DOT physical they decided to sill do a DOT PHYSICAL. And tried saying it's because of the type of drug test. Totally ridiculous. Then tried saying I needed to go for a sleep apnea test before they would release my physical and drug screen to my employer. I called my employer immediately and whoever would not even speak to my employer about why they did a DOT and not the NON DOT. My employer has stated that this is an ongoing struggle with these people not following rules. Wasted tons of time and I am guessing they're receiving some sort of kick back from referring you to unnecessary doctors, as they already had the paperwork filled out before I even found out I was being referred. I was sent here by an employer for a fit test, PPD, and urine drug screen. Knowing the drug screen was part of the visit I came prepared to use the facilities in a timely fashion. Big mistake. It's likely this facility is simply seeing more patients than can be accommodated in a timely fashion much to my bladders chagrin. An hour wait was difficult to say the least. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes! Excellence at the Front Desk BOTH times I was helped, packed waiting room or not. Give all of those health care professionals a raise. :-) It was no big deal getting my TB test done & rechecked 2 times total, here and in Columbia, plus I enjoyed the time saving decision that I chose a location minutes from home. The air smelled FRESH in both the waiting room AND the bathroom too and I wore a mask the whole time! Thank you Concentra for believing in safety and health. For work purposes I was required to get a drug screening and pre-employment physical examination, no matter the time of day the wait at Concentra is over 2-3 hours long. For my 5 minute drug screening at sat there for 2 hours only for people who walked in after me to go before me. This place is very inefficient, understaffed, and unorganized. read more

Second how do you have people coming to take urine tests but don't even clean or have toilet paper in the bathroom? I got looked at crazy when a asked for a Clorox or Lysol wipe to clean the seat. I had a great experience here despite the negative reviews. I went in expecting a long wait and terrible service and it was the complete opposite. I was greeted, asked to sign in and provide my ID. Within a few minutes I was called to take my drug test/urinalysis and was in and out. The staff was super friendly and professional. Keep it up! read more

I went to this clinic in August sometime for a drug test for a job. Ok so my experience when I first came into the clinic was great the front desk women were smiling very warming and personable. Then I get called back by Mrs. Tara J. When she first called me back not saying hello or introducing herself so I gave her a minute or two before forming an opinion about how I felt like she was acting during my visit. Then she started to give me instructions on what to do during my visit ( still not introducing herself thank god for name tags right? ). One of them which was put my belongings in a white box that you guys have to store things until patients are done providing their samples for the drug screenings. While asking me to do so she rolls her eyes. One. Next we head over to the bathroom and she gives me more instructions just being really catty and still rolling her eyes for some reason I don't know why. Two. After I open the door up from the bathroom I just walk out leaving my sample on the toilet not knowing I'm suppose to hand it to her so she just holds her hand out. Not saying a word not giving anymore instructions just holds her hand out rolling her eyes again like I'm automatically suppose to know to give her the sample at my primary care doctor we actually leave the samples in the bathroom for the assistant to get after we leave the bathroom. Three. After I'm finished I ask her how long it would be before my new employer got my results ( asking because I want to know when they will get it because I'm wanting to start working as soon as I possibly can ) she again rolls her eye. Four. Yes answering my question but in a way like me questioning her about the process is a burden and a difficult thing for her to do. She then holds up my pee looks at it, and says " your pee looks diluted you might have to come back in for another test ". So again I asked her what that meant in regards to the test for clarification. Then she says " your pee is really clear it looks like it was diluted ". Again with a slight attitude. So one I'm thinking well she doesn't work in the lab she's a medical assistant and hasn't even tested my sample yet so why even tell me that if she's not sure & thinking all I drink is water and tea so that may be why my pee isn't the color that she may had be expecting. I just feel like working in that type of environment where people come in with serious urgent issues her attitude and demeanor should be completely different than what it was no matter what she may had been going through it should have been left at the door when she clocked in the help patients for the day. I was polite and patient and waited without any complaints. The people at the front desk need help! The lady who I spoke to tonight didn't even acknowledge my presence. I asked her if it was the "orange" clipboard that I needed to sign on and she just pointed to the other one. Use your damn words! I asked one of the nurses for water and she legit gave me attitude! Today was the last time we went there and had reached by 09:45 am 15 minutes before opening time and still everything was done by 12:30 pm.
