Concentra - Staring at this for 45 mins alone - Medical Centers Near Me - Darien, Illinois

Went in for DOT physical, and drug testing. I'm now going on 3 hours of being here. The drug testing girl is great, but what the hell is going on here? read more

Horrible wait times, no communication on what's happening. When you go to ask there's no one helping you out. I had to wait ten minutes for someone to even appear at the desk. Absolutely horrible and would not recommend. read more

I showed up at exactly 11:20am, it is currently 1:06pm and I still have yet to see a doctor!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME coming here, go to Jewel-Osco urgent care next door!! Oh and it was only 3 people ahead of us and more people started to come in and were seen before me, they have terrible communication with patients, and always short staffed!! read more

I've been going to another concentra for years but this location is phenomenal compared to its Bridgeview location. I only needed a simple physical done and normally lm waiting for hours and the doctor is always an unhappy fellow. Not here, the wait was more modest waiting half an hour while filling out forms with other people in line as well. The process went by much faster and they did more things in their physical that I have never got before such as measuring my neck for sleep apnea. The doctor was happy and energetic as well but then again it was also close to closing time. read more

I came in at 8am so I wouldn't have to wait long. I still waited over an hour to be seen. Total hours at facility for a basic work up 2 1/2 hours. Front desk is friendly. Good Customer Service. I thought this visit would have been faster.. read more

Got there at 8:30am and waited 2 hours for a TB skin test. They weren't even that busy according to the nurse I asked who did my test. Ridiculous!!! read more

If I could leave 0 stars, that would be my rating of this location. What should have been a simple physical and drug screening turned into an almost 2 hour wait with ZERO communication from any of the staff. Walked in at 12:15 with roughly 2-3 people ahead of us, brought back by 1:05 PM for the drug screening and then put into an exam room. I am writing this as I am STILL waiting to be seen by a doctor in the exam room. This is absolutely unprofessional. If you have a choice between coming to this location and another, I suggest trying another location and taking the 10+ 1 star reviews for this location seriously. Each time I've poked my head out of the room to see what is taking so long, I'm met "you're up next I promise". It is now 2:10 PM and I'm packing up my stuff and leaving. This place is a joke. read more

12/26/19 Came here with my coworkers to get our DOT physical completed. Although, it did take an hour, we did come at a time when they were closing soon and there was 4 of us. But with those factors, we still were taken cared of quickly and on our way. read more

Why in the absolute hell does it take well over an hour to be seen for an appointment to run a simple hearing /vision test that's been in there system for over a month!!! What a shithole. Fire this whole company and shut it down and produce a better more competent model with actual accountability . Bring a f'ing blanket and pillow to catch up on your sleep with how long it's gonna take to be seen by the absolute incompetence and understaffed crap shoot you're coming to!!!!!!!! No wonder they post they call the cops and notify your employer for bullshit, absolute joke to make people wait for no reason as long as this shithole does! read more

Came here for 3 things. I have been waiting here for about 2 hours now. MULTIP who have came in after me have gone. They didn't send me my registration till after having waited 30-45 minutes in the lobby. If I could I would give them -1 star. read more

Waited for over 5 hours. It's absolutely ridiculous. There's no sign of urgency, they genuinely on purpose want you to wait hours. Just sitting there while no one would be called in or come out. Them needing a more efficient way to go about things is an understatement. read more

Wasted almost 4 hours for them to tell me something they could have told me since the beginning. I walk in trying to give them a second chance from the bad reviews but I see why it has bad reviews ,feels like everyone is getting trained in there even the own doctor . If you don't wanna die here waiting for a stupid comment answer I would suggest a better place or just become ur own doctor at this point you will most likely do better job read more

Hours are different from what's listed. Listed is 8-8 but now it's 8-5 and no weekend hours. I got there at 4:30 ( thinking they were open to 8pm) and the staff told me the Dr isn't seeing anymore patients, and that they stopped taking in walk ins (but they don't give appointments) at 1:30! Took me 1 1/2 hours to get there only to be turned away. What a nightmare. read more

If I could give no stars I would! Horrible wait time plan to be there all damn day. Very rude staff! Go anywhere else you can. How this place is still open with the staff they have is mind blowing. read more

I waited 3 and a half hours to see someone when they told me it would be an hour. For the follow up they said I would be seen right away because I had an appointment. It took them 50 min to put me in a room and 30min to see a doctor read more

Very long waiting times for drug test. Both times over 1 h 45 min. Seem like they should warn you upon arrival.

I went to this place to get a drug screen and physical For a new job. The staff is very unfriendly and absolutely miserable, and they could give a rats *** about you. the girl who did my urine test was rude. The girl than drew my blood was okay , but she must have did something wrong because I have a huge bruise in the area where she drew my blood. When I went back the next day, I asked her why I had surge a big bruise. She casually told me she didn't know... I would not recommend this place!!!!!! read more

This is ridiculous. I'm still waiting for 2 hours to just pee in a cup. Why would a urine test with nothing else take that long? I asked to just get a cup because I have to pee so bad and I was told there's someone in front of me. I doubt it being that complicated to piss in a cup and collect it. They can send it out any time. I work in healthcare too. Not necessarily the workers fault but the fault of the organization. read more

Came for a t spot & non DOT physical for work (their request of location) & waited 2 hours just to be called back. Once I got back, things went quickly and smoothly until I needed the physical (PA). I was told 20-25 more min but it was 55 min. The PA came and was with me less than 5 min and I was done. I just cannot fathom why this all takes so long. I'm a nurse and can appreciate and understand Covid changes, but... no cleaning between patients and masks below noses does not = Covid safety, flu safety or even an excuse to take forever. At least the staff are pleasant. I do feel bad for the girl at the front who is asked 100x and yelled at for the long wait. read more

I wish there was a negative star I could use for this review. The staff overall were not bad. The nurses were very friendly and did a great job with making me feel comfortable. The on call doctor they have in place, does not need to be a doctor any further. I went in for a work related injury to my elbow. Before taking any sort of x-rays he did a strength test and tried to release me back to work. After I HAD TO CONVINCE HIM to take an x-ray, it turned out I had a fractured elbow, a torn muscle, and a strained tendon. He put me up for 3 days of physical therapy for that week and a recheck the following Monday. I saw my routine doctor every week for 3 weeks. She was even trying to release me back to work when I was clearly still injured. After a long few weeks of physical therapy I went for another recheck and, unfortunately, saw the same on call doctor. He came in and started asking me to bend over frontwards and backwards and then simply asked "ok, are you ready to go back to work?" When I reminded him it was for my elbow he said he swore it was for my back. I got home after the recheck and received a voicemail from my work that I was released back to regular duties and I needed to call them back to schedule my days back. So I went back to speak to the doctor and to get it corrected since I CLEARLY was not able to go back to work. After the nurse said she would take care of it, the doctor pretty much refused to see me until I persuaded the nurse to convince him to speak to me. I walk back into the exam room and IMMEDIATELY, he began snapping towards me. Basically saying that he cleared me because I met requirements based on what the physical therapist told them. When he finally agreed to put me back on restricted duty for another week he looked over at me and said "you happy now?" He was completely unprofessional. Dr. Osama needs to retire! I transferred over to Physican's Immediate Care in Bolingbrook, and they stated that the physical therapy I was doing actually made my injury worse. Now I am forced to be out of work for another month because the doctors and physical therapists at this location could not keep with their due diligence of making sure that someone was recovered instead of pushing them out the door for an earlier success rate. read more

Terrible. Workers compensation doctor who told me I just sprained my arm and didn't want to help me. Went to a real specialist and I had multiple tears in my shoulder that needed surgery to fix. Don't go here. read more

I came here to get a physical for my job. I am a registered nurse. The ladies at the front and the medical assistance are wonderful but K. Dayton,PA was the worst healthcare provider I have ever encountered. She had me sitting in the exam room for an hour and half. When she came in there was no apology absolutely nothing. When I addressed the long wait she didn't even acknowledge I was speaking. She just kept talking over me, until I said stop! She said she is the only one here, she don't have to apologize and I don't have to stay and get the physical. Ridiculous! Gonna spread the word to never come here again. read more

This place is a joke!!! I came here for physical exam & blood work for employment. The receptionist said it's a 2 1/2 hours wait!! It's over 3 hours now and still not seen by anyone. I got called n to the exam room and still waiting and almost an hour now But no one saw me yet. People are sleeping in the waiting room because of a long wait. People who are seeking for employment should not be treated like this. This place should not be used by any employer!!! i rate it with no star at all!!! read more

I never write reviews but this place is just terrible and so disappointing. I needed to do a pre-employment DOT and physical and was told it was a 3.5 hour wait. I came back when they called me and have been waiting for over 2 hours to get checked for my physical. They don't seem to care about their patients at all and clearly don't know time management. Over 3 hr wait for a physical is just insane. Avoid this place if you can. Very disappointed. read more

I came here to get a drug test. All you have to do for a drug test is pee in a cup. I waited a hour and a half to do so. They move very slow. If you have something to do that day please do it before coming here. They do not work or move expeditiously at all. But overall, staff is nice and the building is very clean and modern. Nothing really was outdated. read more

This isn't the place to go if you have a sinus infection. They want a negative covid test before they see you.

As a medical professional myself, I am 100% understanding of COVID changes in the everyday flow of patient care, as well as the normal delays in healthcare. That being said, this was a MISERABLE experience. Front desk attendant, medical assistant, doctor... all extremely curt and rude. I was quoted a 2 hour wait (in my car, thanks COVID), and after 2.5 hours, I stopped in again and asked when I would be seen. I was told at least 30 more. 45 minutes later, I walked in and was finally roomed after stating I had to pick up my child soon. I then sat in that room for 45 minutes waiting to be seen. All for clearance for a work injury. I saw vital sign machines being rolled from one room to the next without being wiped down, as well as a staff member with their mask below their nose. Obviously the flow of this clinic is very flawed, as well as some extremely burnt out staff. I do not recommend choosing this site if you have a choice. In a world with many clinics, choose a different one! Unfortunately this was the one my employer insisted I use. If you don't have 5 hours and lot of frustration to spare, do not come here... read more

I had quite a different experience then the majority of the reviews I've seen on Yelp. I visited Concentra for a pre-screen drug test and a physical as well. I was politely greeted by the medical receptionist who took my ID while I filled out a general questionnaire regarding my health history, allergies, surgeries, company info. etc... Upon returning the documents my ID was returned to me with one more small questionnaire. After turning that in I was called to the back within 15 minutes of arriving (Emphasis on arriving. Also, for those who have no concept of reality, institutions like these which have extremely sporadic times of being busy or not busy see/treat patients by level of pain/urgency, so if someone comes in vomiting or with head trauma expect to wait a while before you're called to take your drug test you selfish piece of ****.) In the back I was politely instructed on procedure of the drug test and what would follow. (DON'T FLUSH WHEN YOU'RE DONE) After completing the process the nurse took me to another room to get vitals and conduct a vision test right away. Finally I was seated in a room and waited about 5 minutes for a doctor who had a welcoming and professional attitude. She was polite and kind as the rest of the staff was this Wednesday evening and I can truly and honestly say this was one of the best experiences I've ever had, if not thee best. The staff went above and beyond expectation to accommodate me and make me feel comfortable and I would gladly recommend them to any of my friends or family. Thank you all so much! read more
