This facility is very poorly managed. Unfortunately my husband does not have the option to go somewhere else because this being a work injury. Multiple time we have had to wait 2-3 hours for a scheduled appointment. Always with the excuse of short staffed or really busy. I've heard other patients go out into the hall asking if they were forgotten all while you can hear staff talking about their spicy food and standing around chatting. Also, they forget to check you in so you're left sitting for an additional hour. Don't use concentra they're a joke!!! read more

Nurses and Front desk personnel were great. They are the only reason this review is getting a star. Doctor on the other hand seems to enjoy making peoples day hard. Very unprofessional and entitled. Highly Judge Mental! Needs to learn to stay in his lane and profession vs telling people how their jobs and/or companies should conduct business. Definitely looks down on people with Mental Health issues. Does not possess common sense or value the opinions of others. Only believes in what he believes during conversations. Does not make you feel comfortable during your visit. Complains about it being to busy, as if it isn't his job to help people. I injured my shoulder while visiting friends in Colorado Springs. I went to Concentra Urgent Care on Academy Boulevard. I waited three hours to be seen, most of it in a waiting room, some of it in a little examination room. 1) At one point the nurse took my information and vanished. 2) A doctor came in and talked to me, asking what happened. She vanished. 3) The doctor returned and said my X-rays were clear, no broken bones. I hadn't had an X-ray and said so. 4) I got an X-ray and, luckily, no broken bones. 5) I waited some more. 6) They came in with a sling (that I knew how to use) and more or less forced me to be instructed. I later learned why. The main part of my bill was $182 for this sling (that I never used because it was a POS) and the instruction. Medicare and my insurance paid for all but $200 and most of that was the BS sling and the unnecessary instruction. 7) At one point (no surprise) I needed to use the restroom. There was no toilet paper. The ONE good thing I have to say about this experience is that the nurses were friendly and kind. That's not nothing but it's not enough. read more

I'm in my 3rd hour waiting to be seen for an Appointment. Not a walk-in. An appointment. It's about the same wait as not having an appointment. I get it. Everyone's busy. Hence, the appointment. Keeping patients happy, monitoring flow, and trying to honor appointment times probably doesn't matter as much here though, because this is where they send people for worker's compensation injuries. Those people aren't actively paying for their treatment with anything but their time, so this business doesn't need to worry about this issue. Prepare for things to stay the same. read more

It's so frustrating that I can only go to a few places for occupational health related matters. I read the reviews before I went here about the long wait times. If I could have gone somewhere else, I would have. I just think the front office staff could be friendlier and more pleasant about the wait. They quoted me 2 hours and I HONESTLY believe that was to get me to leave. I had to get a release for work so I stated "welp I guess I live here now, I'll forward my mail" and sat down. If they really are just telling you 2 hours to get you to leave then that is unethical. They came out many times and called names but none of those people were there and must have left instead of waiting. Fortunately, the nurses are pretty cool and the PA was AWESOME...so one extra star for them. read more

0 stars if it were possible.... We were in there for a work injury. The PA (they wouldn't even give us a real doctor) didn't do the correct diagnostics for the injury. Then scheduled a followup with physical therapy for 3 days later. In the meatime (over the weekend, injury was friday) we ended up in the actual ER to see a real doctor since the original diagnosis was clearly lacking both diagnostics and diagnosis. The er doctor actually said "Holy Shit that isn't xxxxx'... and gave us a referral to a surgeon. We were advised to keep the appointment at urgent care just because its a work problem. At that appointment it took them 2 hours to give us a referral (THAT WE ALREADY HAD!!!!) and they proceeded to tell us "Its certain that (other major health network) doesn't work with workmens comp so you have to use us. " Which is a crock of shit. In the end, don't go here. Idiots won't do the correct diagnostics to help you and all they do is push physical therapy when we have already been told surgery is likely. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!! read more

Wait times are ridiculously long. Almost as long as an actual emergency room wait. Front desk does not have good customer service. I agree with an earlier review how this is not a true urgent care, def a lot of workers comp and UAs for jobs and stuff like that. read more

My husband can not drive himself to physical therapy. Physical therapy is one hour. They will not allow me to wait. They should have a waiting room and maybe some coffee. I think it is very rude to make me wait in my car when it is freezing outside. read more

There are many wonderful urgent cares in Colorado Springs -- there is absolutely no reason to mess with Concentra. Their main purpose is to help employers screw people who are sent to them for work injuries. So why bother? Go somewhere that cares about your health. read more

This facility was refusing to allow my wife and child to enter because they had a fever. When my wife refused to leave and finally got care for our daughter, the doctor refused to enter the room and made the nurse go in. They didn't give any discharge paperwork either. I was sent here to get a DOT medical exam. The staff is reasonably friendly, but the doctor (actually he's a PA, NOT an MD) is a jerk. I had some issues and was given a form to take to my primary doctor to fill out. I met all of the requirements, but the PA (who didn't give me his name, and I could not find his name on any of the paperwork he filled out) still refused to clear me. I pointed out the there were several exceptions as per the Motor Carrier regulations (which were quoted ON THE FORM THEY PROVIDED!) but he would not budge. I would think that my primary doctor, with whom I've had a relationship for more than five years, would have a much better grasp of my medical history and physical limitations then someone who has known me less than five minutes! If you're not going to follow the guidelines set forth by the agency you are doing the exams for, maybe you should get out of the DOT physical business. If you don't feel "comfortable" even after being presented with documentation that YOU asked for, you should quit doing what you're doing and find a profession more suited to your weak and cowardly personality. Apparently, his OPINION trumps Federal Regulations! Thanks for wasting my time. Now I have to jump through more hoops to get this problem resolved. This is the Best doctors office I have ever been to. I got an injury at work so I have multiple visits between the doctor and physical therapist and I have never met such a wonderful staff. On one visit I showed up early to my appointment but they were backed up which is 100% normal and the nurses at the front desk kept apologizing and showing they cared about me having to wait. People who have commented saying they've had to wait- well my response to that is that's life. I'm sure at your job there have been times where you fall behind and get frustrated with those who don't understand. I've only had to wait extra that one time and as I mentioned, they profusely apologized. Both Doctor Jones and Jenkins are so wonderful and understanding and very soft with their care, especially the injections. My physical therapist Matthew is also amazing because he makes it a point to ask about how I am and actually remember our conversation at the next appointment. His methods have helped me tremendously and I'm grateful that I'm his patient. Even the receptionist, Jess, is so wonderful and I feel so comfortable every time I'm there. She's knows what times of days o prefer and makes sure she can always accommodate me. I just Love this place because they treat you with respect and kindness, not something that I experience often. read more

I came here to get some chest X-rays done and had a very short wait time. The receptionist and front desk staff were super friendly. The receptionist even went the extra mile to ensure that my company would pay for the visit although it turned out they weren't going to. The nurse performing the procedure was very knowledgeable and friendly. It took less than 20 minutes. She even gave me preliminary results while I waited for the official results (which came in very soon 3-4 days later). Overall, great service. read more
