Gave 2 stars because follow up was excellent - but advise was not only not acurate (based on other…read morelawyer estimates) Asked for a TOD on 2 houses plain and simple already have current will, don't want a trust. Basically what I wanted... wasn't going to enable them to charge me enough - told me to see a real estate lawyer. Using other attorney that is also an estate attorney that does want my business. Said TOD (transfer on death deeds) are "new" (they were in place since 2024 and get this ... they don't know enough about them to recommend Thats kind of funny... since they had 2 years to learn/understand a TOD as an attorney So unless you are giving them big bucks for a trust, don't bother calling

I'm writing this review with great disappointment…read more The Ettinger Law firm is highly advertised and visible. Therefore I wanted to share my experience I'm a 60 year old African- American female who owns a home in Long Island and land in Mississippi. I have a 20 year old daughter. I had a free consultation with Attorney Suzanne Ettinger. I was advised I did not need a trust fund at this time and to think about a trust at 70 years old I was advised to sell my land if not in use and advised my daughter would go through probate in both New York and Mississippi. I was shocked at this advice which is contrary to protecting your assets as advertised. I was never offered a trust fund plan or at best a will. When I asked the fee for the trust fund I was quoted $6500 and for land transfer would total $10,000. I pondered with this advise. Would this advice be extended to a person of Non African- American descent or this Law Firm has select clientele.
