Anthony took the time to guide us through every aspect of our project, be it coming to the store with us to pick materials, giving his point of view when solicited, and helping us understand the pros and cons of the selections we were making. He did his best to keep the areas clean as much as possible. I love my new bathroom. Anthony did a great job and when I look at it now, I realize that it looks better than I had imagined! It is built very precisely and the tile work is perfect. The project would have been a 5 star experience had the timing been more what we had discussed and expected vs. wrapping it up 7 to 9 days passed schedule. Anthony did his best to make it up to us and was always very profesional about things. I would work with Anthony again and would recommend him to my family and friends. I plan to work with Anthony in the remodeling of my kitchen. I will then be more realistic about timing and set myself up with better precautions, knowing that this is always a risk we take when working with any contractor or construction. This was without doubt THE BEST experience I have ever had with a contractor! Mike and his team were hard-working, efficient and highly professional at all times. Mike did everything he said he was going to do, in all cases on time and on budget. He started the work the day he said the work would be started -- and he completed the work two weeks later, the very day he said the work would be completed. He worked long hours to make it happen, in spite of inclement weather outside his control, and even went above-and-beyond to protect our property as if it were his own home during the bad weather periods. Our good experience started with Mike's quote, which was far more detailed and well thought out than the competing quotes. It was by no means the cheapest -- but it was competitive, and it was very clear that Mike had taken the time to think through the project in detail where others hadn't. Mike was very clear about what was included in the quote, and what would be additional -- should there be additional work needed once the team got into the job (in fact, once he pulled up our roofs, there were indeed a few sections of support beams that had rotted and needed to be replaced --- but because of Mike's clarity up front, there was no question that this was outside the scope of the original quote). Both the quote for the job, as well as the hourly rate Mike quoted for any additional work needed, was more than reasonable... especially considering the quality of work that was done. Mike also went the extra mile to point out areas of future potential problems or concerns as he found them -- but without trying to "sell" us that more than was necessary should be fixed right away. We appreciated feeling that he was truly "on our side" in understanding that we had a set budget, and prioritizing what was urgent vs. what could wait for another day. Finally, I can't speak highly enough about the quality of the work done. I have worked with many contractors who will press and cut corners to get a job done quickly, or who will realize they have under-quoted a job and then try to cut corners to make up the time on the back end. Not Mike. Mike is as meticulous as they come. His preparation is thorough; his measurements are perfect; and his final work is flawless. When the project was complete, we could not find a single seam, gap or ill-fitting joint anywhere -- it was PERFECT! As you can tell, we are very, very satisfied customers and we will definitely be using Mike and his team again and again for our future projects.

As part of our apartment renovation, Renaissance installed a stacked washing machine and dryer. Because of the amount of energy each machine requires, they needed to be on separate circuit breakers, and Renaissance identified each of them as being on their own breaker in the electrical panel that Renaissance installed in our apartment as part of the job. Last week our dryer stopped working. During the service call, the technician discovered that Renaissance had installed BOTH the washing machine and the dryer on the circuit labelled Dryer and neither of them on the circuit labelled Washer. This, according to the appliance repair tech, was the cause of the damage to our dryer. We called David, the owner of Renaissance Renovations, to have him rectify the situation that was caused by his electricians. We did not ask him to cover our out of pocket expenses for the repair--which were considerable--but only to move the washing machine to the circuit that it was supposed to be on. David refused. He said the electrician he had used on our job had passed away and, when I pointed out that we hired Renaissance and not the electrician, he said that the one-year warranty on the job had expired. He flatly refused to stand behind the work that his company was responsible for even though there was absolutely no way we could have known about the improper installation until last week when our dryer failed. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend any company that will not stand behind its work.
