The sale I attended in Larkspur was extremely well organized, especially when it came to pricing and item placement in the home. The experience felt even better knowing you were working with a local family-run business that genuinely cares about both clients and customers, rather than a large corporate company that rushes people through and overlooks the small interactions that matter. Michael's wife Claudia was great to work with, and Yuri and Jerikah were friendly and helpful as well. Michael himself was patient, respectful to negotiate with, and completely open when answering questions. They also post clear photos of items ahead of time on their website, which saves a lot of time. I'd absolutely go to another Blue Moon Estate Sale and would recommend them without hesitation to anyone considering attending a sale or hiring them for one of their services.

They wouldn't let us dump the dirt like a previous customer had done. I asked for my money back. They refused stating no refunds. I have many years of dealing with the public. I would never hide behind a policy like Blue Moon did under this circumstance. My purchase was in good faith. Beware of this company as they are unreasonable, disorganized & unprofessional.

My brother and I had been trying to figure out what to do with the house for months, and from the first time I met with them, I felt like we were in good hands. One of the things that initially made me feel comfortable choosing Sorted was knowing that they've been through this themselves. They've been in our shoes and understand how difficult and emotional it can be to go through a parent's home and belongings. That really came through in the way they approached everything. They were incredibly organized, responsive, thoughtful, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. What really stood out was how much care they showed toward my dad's belongings. They took the time to understand what might be meaningful to our family, found good homes for so many of his things, and made sure anything they thought we might want was put aside for us. It never felt like they were simply there to empty a house. They handled all the logistics, donations, coordination, and final clear-out, which took an enormous amount of stress off of us. When they were finished, the house was completely cleared and ready for us to move on to the next step. Amy and Felicia are also just genuinely wonderful people. They made a difficult process so much easier than I expected it to be, and I'm incredibly grateful we found them. They completely exceeded our expectations. I've already been recommending Sorted Estates to everyone I can, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend them to anyone dealing with an estate or family home.

It's great to support a small local business, and Pete and his team are friendly and great communicators during the process. Pete is very thorough and spent hours organizing and sorting 60 year's worth of items and researching their value. In addition to the actual sale days, they also list items online to pre-sell, contact local buyers, sell on ebay, and keep items on consignment to sell later- basically doing everything they can to sell for you. They do a great job after the sale as well, donating as much as they can so as little as possible gets thrown out. Pete will also haul away when needed, and handle any curbside pickups. Lastly, we really appreciate how part of their business model is a willingness to take on smaller jobs (they do this by sometimes combining sales into one location), allowing them to service different types of needs, including many clients the larger estate sale companies might refuse.

It was awkward to watch and then- when I went to check out, it got worse. I went to the reg with 3 things in hand- 1 print marked $20, 1 tin marked $1, and an unmarked vintage tray. I asked about the tray- he quoted $10 bucks. Ok, cool. I asked if he would come down in price on the print- he snapped at me no. Ok, I said- I'll just go with these 2 things. He tallied things- gave me $10 for the tray as he said, and quoted $3 for the tin. I said "but it is marked $1" (which it was, in marker, on the bottom). He snapped "That's not MY dollar!"- as if I changed the price? WTF? So I said I'd skip the tin. I started to ask about some drawers he had in the house, and he blew his top and said the price is the price and that there is no haggling at estate sales. Well, Peter- not yours, for sure, but then post signage, please, as many of the other sales in town have CLEARLY STATED POLICIES posted. So I looked at him stunned by his blowup, and then started to change my mind about the tray- which he then yanked out of my hands and put behind the register, and then he IGNORED ME to snap at other people trying to pay. I stepped behind the other people to get back in line to purchase the tray because I DID like it and it is unique. Once he finished with the other people, he picked up the tray and the tin, shoved them at me and told me to take them and go away. I said I didn't want to not pay and again, he had moved on to other people. So I paid him via Venmo. And he looked surprised. You might treat people like shit, Peter, but I paid for what I purchased. If you hate dealing with people, and hate the business, maybe you shouldn't profit from the FAMILIES OF DEAD PEOPLE, PETER.

After a brief conversation where Tina educated me a bit more about the process, she agreed to meet at my parents estate in a few days, and she showed up with her partner promptly at the agreed upon time. They were very kind and understanding, and took a good look at what was in the house, asked a bunch of questions, answered a bunch more questions, and generally were great to work with. Unfortunately, there was not enough stuff in the house to make it worthwhile to do an Estate Sale, and they seemed quite apologetic about that, but they still gave me lots of great advice on how to proceed with my goals, as well as the few things that knew from experience would be worth trying to sell separately. It was educational and I'm very thankful for their assistance.

I am not sure if it's because I don't have a 707 area code number but that shouldn't matter if your direct line is a business line. Now the owner posted on Yelp they have been doing this for years. During those years you have think that they learn how to get back to customers in a timely fashion.
