Just outside of Greenville, it's the perfect place to visit when you need a little getaway on a budget. There's multiple dining options, shops, and tons of areas for great photo ops. There is a lot of construction currently going on outside of the (really huge) building so parking can be a little confusing but that is a temporary hiccup. As you walk through the building to the main event space, you're able to enjoy the well designed gallery spaces and co-working spaces, too. It's a really pleasant experience.

None came close to The McClaren -- and it ultimately came down to one thing: the people. The team here is truly exceptional. Property Manager Sylvain Mbezele is second to none -- thoughtful, responsive, and deeply committed to creating an outstanding resident experience. Assistant Manager Luz Para is equally exceptional -- warm, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. The maintenance team, led by Carlos and supported by Scott and Marcus, is truly top-tier. The philosophy here is simple: ask and you shall receive -- and they consistently deliver. As someone who has never lived in an apartment building (outside of university), this was a new experience for me -- and it has been nothing short of incredible. The McClaren offers a unique combination of location, design, and lifestyle. It's incredibly dog-friendly, which was important to me, and the amenities are thoughtfully curated: a café, pool bar, fully equipped fitness center with steam room, sauna, and massage chairs, a podcast, golf simuator, and game rooms (complete with a retro auto-inspired pool table), bi-monthly catered events, and more. What truly sets The McClaren apart, though, is the sense of community. It feels less like a building and more like a home -- even a family. In fact, I recently leased an additional unit alongside mine to accommodate storage -- because I simply couldn't imagine living anywhere else. So I moved here a few months back without being able to visit first due to Covid. The office always responded immediately and made sure everything was set up beforehand to help relieve move-in stress. Once I got out here, I was able to meet Marissa, Nicole and Andrea in person and they welcomed me with open arms. The community itself is beautiful, clean and has amazing amenities thanks to the care of Wayne and Justin. The dog park on the side of the building is such a perk if you have a pup, the pool is an oasis, and any common areas are beautifully decorated. Now most apartments don't have a very interactive environment, but the three ladies plan the coolest events to entertain. I've done a online cooking class, online exercise class, had treats and drinks delivered to my door all during quarantine! The unit itself is spectacular. Huge windows, high ceilings, stainless steel appliances, shiplap accent doors and an open floor plan. I could not have picked a better place to live, with the most amazing group of people working here. So thank you Ellison on Broad for making me feel welcome in my new home!

Ironically, it was the first place I toured, and it became the benchmark of comparison for all of the other places. Beyond the amenities, I was just very impressed by the staff. Allison originally met with my mom and I, and as a pair, we can be a lot! We had many questions, and she not only knowledgeable and patient, but her energy was just awesome! She made me feel right at home with her approachability, and she was just energetic, friendly and somebody I am excited to hopefully see in passing when I move in; overall we enjoyed meeting her as much as we did viewing the unit itself! Fast forward, after having view many other apartments, this was by and large my favorite, so we came back to visit a week later with some follow-up questions more specific to availability and leasing, and she was happy to help. She even let us tour the unit again to give us a refresher after having seen so many places. On behalf of my mom and I, "Thank you Allison!!" :) I've also had the pleasure of meeting over the phone and via email with Marissa, who is equally wonderful. She was able to walk me through the application, and because I am not local, even was willing to facetime with me to view the steps of the application to ensure I did everything correctly. She was prompt in all of her follow-ups, and I truly appreciate her help. The energy and vibes from the building as well as its staff are fantastic, and this being said before having even moved into the apartment. Thanks so much, ladies!! I can't wait to move in and see ya'll on a regular basis!
