Their holistic approach equips you with the know how as well enabling you with the professional compasion to provide exemplary patient care. Their program gave me the credentials needed to land a great job at a physical rehabilitation hospital even though I lacked clinical experience. The program also gave me a complete foundation to build toward an RN-BSN. I would highly recommend the program at Career Training Center of Chicago. It's afforadble - with flexible payment options. It's a concise, concentrated program that will get you quickly into the medical field. It's in depth, high quality, and comprehensive which will put you a cut above other CNAs. And it provides a great foundation to build from if you wish to pursue nursing or other allied health fields. They easily earn 5 stars.

You will learn the material, but the organization, communication, and professionalism need significant improvement. It is not reflective of the medical field, training or professionalism required. For a fast-track CNA program lasting roughly two weeks, students need a reliable schedule and clear expectations. Instead, there were at least six last-minute schedule changes, many with less than 12 hours' notice, with most of these hours overnight. Examples include being told at 10:00 p.m. that a specific non-smart watch was required for 8:00 a.m. the next morning, extending the course several days over a holiday weekend shortly before class began, then changing the schedule again and ending early after students had already cancelled work or travel plans. There was also only one day of clinicals, which seems inadequate for such a hands-on field. Most concerning, students were publicly called out or embarrassed. One student's "punishment" for talking was being required to teach part of the class the next day. Paying students should be taught by the qualified instructor they enrolled with, not used as part of another student's punishment. An accelerated program requires flexibility, but students should still receive professional communication, advance notice of required supplies, adequate clinical experience, and a schedule that is respected.

UTI is a world-class technical school that offers numerous opportunities for anyone who wants to…read moremake a prosperous career out of working with their hands. Their curriculum is 100% geared towards learning a trade, as they offer certificates in Auto, CNC Machining, Collision Repair, Diesel, Marine, Motorcycle, and Welding at their campuses all over the United States. While it's obviously not a school that fits everyone's needs, it's an option for people who aren't interested in attending a community college or a four year university as not everyone wants to take World History, Art, and Psychology classes. As a Technical Recruiter for a commercial truck dealership group out of Illinois and Missouri, we are always looking for Diesel Techs. When I say "always", I mean my company is at UTI recruiting (for various events) roughly 10-12 times a year. Approximately 27% of our techs are UTI grads - and we have a few hundred techs. UTI is the #1 school that we hire techs from. Do you think we would spend so much time recruiting out of UTI if they didn't produce a quality entry level technician? :) When it's all said and done you get out of life what you put into it. Junk in, junk out. Quality in, quality out. I recommend making a decision on what you want to do and where you want to go to school based on the time you've spent looking into each school. I invite you to do your own research. Ask people you know who have graduated from schools you're looking at what their experience is like. Visit at least four or five schools (technical schools, community colleges, four-year universities, etc. - whatever interests you) and come with a list of prepared questions. Get all of your questions answered at every school and see how the teachers, admission reps, career services personnel, and administration respond. Check out this website to compare schools (apples to apples): * https://collegescorecard.ed.gov Here, you can learn the following about each school: * Average annual cost * Graduation rate * Salary after attending * % of students receiving Federal loans * Typical total debt after graduation * Graduation rate * Student body information/numbers While UTI has thirteen (soon to be fourteen) campuses nationwide, you will only find their Arizona campus (HQ) on collegescorecard.ed.gov's website. Why? I'm not sure. The bottom line is while UTI is a great option, it's not the only one, and it's not going to be a perfect fit for every single person. But they've done a great job preparing people to be entry level techs in a wide variety of industries. Over the past 50 years, they've graduated over 200,000 students! They're constantly looking to improve their student experience, curriculum, training, products, advertising, relationships within the community, graduation and placement rates, social media presence, and more! If you haven't taken a tour yet you're missing out. I know you'll be impressed. And if it's not for you, at least you did your due diligence, right? DISCLAIMER- LENGTHY REVIEW LOL:…read more I just recently graduated from the Medical Assisting program and it is bittersweet! I am super excited for my future but also super sad to be finished with school. The program was about 4.5 months and time went by so surprisingly quick but I have gained so much knowledge in that short period of time. From the beginning, I researched pretty extensively for esthetics schools around the area and came across ISBA. It seemed to be extremely detailed in what it had to offer so I scheduled an in-person interview with Dr. Doran. I brought my husband along with my two year old toddler and she was so welcoming and passionate in what she had to explain to me. I'm already a licensed cosmetologist so she took the time to ask me herself what my future endeavors are such as my goals, career, what I planned on getting out of the esthetics program. (I told her I enjoy doing hair, but skincare interests me and I might want to work in a medspa, etc later on) Instead of pushing me forward and just letting me apply/enroll in the program, she explained why it wouldn't benefit me as much considering that I was already licensed in cosmetology and if I still planned on staying in the hair industry. It would basically be like getting licensed for something I'm already qualified to do. She then explained about their MA program if medspa is what I'm leaning towards because being a certified MA would improve my current qualifications/resume whereas just being another licensed esthetician would be the same as I am now if that makes sense. The fact that she took the time to talk me out of their more expensive program and into another program to benefit me personally was enough for me to already want to enroll. It shows how much she cares for people individually and cares for everyone's success/future. Also, the fact that their class sizes are so small (my class only had 7 people) shows that she takes pride in who enrolls because she talks to them and makes sure the program is the correct fit for both the student and her. I truly appreciate and respect that. As for the MA program teacher, Ms. Helen; she is amazing. She is honest, fun & funny, caring and most importantly, patient. She teaches in the perfect pace where it isn't too slow nor too fast. If someone is having difficulty grasping a lesson/concept, she takes the time to pause and makes sure that student understands before moving forward without making it seem degrading or embarrassing. Our class asks ALOT of questions, most of the time confusing questions lol, and she makes sure she answers all of them til we understand and goes into depth with it. If she is unsure herself, she takes the time to research until there is a solid/clear answer. She provided us with her own handwritten flash cards & study games to help us prepare for our NHA exam. I had a little bit of prior education in the medical field from being in the military.. but there were a lot of topics where I was unable to retain the information after all these years. But going over those same topics with Ms. Helen, I am able to remember them and retain them easily because she teaches in a way where you're not just remembering terms/concepts, you're actually understanding why/what/etc. I am super appreciative of her and I'm so proud and glad I was apart of this program. I have a few friends/family who were apart of other MA programs that were a year long and after speaking with them, they didn't learn or go over a lot of the same material we had gone over nor had the same great learning experience. So I'm definitely pleased that I chose to go with this school because it was so worth it! Thank you ISBA!

Not only does he do the training but he (and Julie) goes the extra mile by helping each and every student get a job in the medical field after they graduate. One caveat here, there is no such thing as a guaranteed job! Nobody can offer you that. So the graduate MUST be flexible in regards to where they're going to work, which might mean traveling to a location that is out of the way or working inconvenient hours in order to be flexible. But once you get that experience you'll have a much better chance of getting a better position in the future. John is a man of many talents, he recruits, trains and places students in a field where there is currently a limited shortage. Both him and Julie are approachable and open to helping anybody who has a serious commitment for entering the medical field. So I waited over 1 year before reviewing Symbol Job training school…read more I have to say it was a really great place to learn an excellent foundation for the machinist industry. Paul was my shop teacher and he explained everything very well and I currently use it all on my job. I also like how they taught us a few side notes about finding the right job where you can learn and grow as a machinist. To date I am on my 4th job and here is why: 1st job was just an operator and they taught us to get into a place where you can learn instead of just making the same parts all day. The pay at $14/hour was OK so it was tempting to keep it but I'm glad I upgraded after 3 weeks. 2nd job was working on HAAS mills for $16/hour which is exactly what we learned on at Symbol so it was easy but I found it a little too easy. Just mass production and I also bought a house 1.5 hours away so I needed to change again after 4 months. 3rd job was where I really learned a lot. It was a small "Job Shop" with about 7 employees and we made very different parts all the time with tight tolerances. I made $15/hour here. We also had HAAS machines and used 4th axis turrets in them. They saw that I was a fast learner and I was ambitious to start learning Mastercam Programming and I got a good foundation in programming from that. Just like the instructors said, get the right job where you can learn. They got slow on work so I was laid off along with some others so I was only there for about 7 months. 4th job making $18/hour is setting up 5 axis machines making and mostly editing Mastercam programs to make adjustments in part dimensions although I need to take some of the online classes Mastercam offers for 5 Axis programming which is only $250/class but I want to push myself anyway. I see myself here for a while as it's an excellent skill to have with Mastercam AND 5 axis machines. Overall I got a much better foundation from Symbol than many of the other coworkers who either went to a different school or learned on the job. Obviously there is always more to learn and I don't know everything but Symbol got me started. Well worth the money. Get the right job where you can grow your skills and never stop learning.

Great school great teachers. They help with job placement and make sure you're set for success!read more
