Chris at computer fix deserves a gold star A++ rating. I work in the financial markets, so I rely very heavily on my computers. I had my computer give me the "Blue Screen of Death" and quickly started to panic as the information on my hard drives were of extreme importance and value. Chris not only repaired my hard drives and preserved ALL of my data, but he also fixed the blue screen and got my PC up and running. Two days after Christmas and they did not miss a beat! We had a spam hack that froze our Mac. Chris talked me through it on the phone and did not charge me. He and his shop are great. We had taken th e Mac into the shop but did not bring the power cord. Chris told us to go home and call him. We couldn't be more pleased. read more

John at computer fix did an extremely excellent job for me when my computer locked up and is said to call micro soft! Previously I did just that,? I was taken for 500$ from a supposed micro soft on line repair service. Do yourself a favor, "Go see these guys" when your in need of any computer repairs. My computer was cleaned from malware and my information was retrieved. The new speed and presence of a new malware program "THAT WORKS" has made me very happy. Rip off charge to replace power supply, then pc breaks down again so I have to pay to have the pc repaired again! If it was properly diagnosed the first time i would have not have to pay to have the video board replaced! They put a used board in and the fan is making a loud noise, I did not take it back, so they can charge me more money, I would not recommend my dog to go to this place! read more

My computer gave up the ghost on a Sunday night. I brought it into Computer Fix the next day in the early afternoon. Part by Part ( starting with the cheapest to replace or repair) Chris worked through the problem. By Tuesday morning the final verdict was the MB. He had a replacement part overnighted (after first asking if i was willing to pay the extra overnight charges). A few hours after it arrived I have my computer back and running better than it had been. read more

This place is a joke. Took computer in to get malware and virus cleaned. Bill called me said I was all set to go. When I got home he had put a couple of programs on my desktop but nothing else was done. Got ripped off for 88.00. Don't do business with these people read more

Despite never disclosing this, he said I would have to deal with the extra heat and tough luck. When I tried to explain that I never would have wanted a LED screen, he started screening on the phone "Don't tell me how to run my business, I'll push this red button on my iPhone and hang up on you." Needless to say, I should have known better because this is a very low quality shop and you get what you pay for. I'd say be careful before doing business here, but when you walk into his little hole in the wall shop which is very rundown, you'll immediately understand what level of businessman you're working with.

At first, everything seemed fine -- but within a month, the phone started randomly shutting off and overheating, just like it did before the repair. When I returned, expecting them to stand behind their work, they refused to replace the faulty battery they had installed. I even showed them my bank statement clearly proving I paid for the service on April 10th. But because I "wasn't in their system," they told me I'd have to pay again just for them to look at it. To make matters worse, the two men working were rude, dismissive, and acted like I was being unreasonable for expecting a working battery and basic accountability. Most reputable shops offer at least a 90-day warranty -- apparently, not this one. Now I'm out the money, and still have a phone that doesn't work. Total waste of time and money. Shady practices, poor customer service, and zero responsibility. Stay far away. **REPLYING to Devon's response below** I want to clarify that my intention was never to "extort" anyone. I simply sought support for a repair I genuinely believed had been completed at your shop. Which it was. When I provided my bank statement as proof of the transaction, you declined to honor it because the repair wasn't found in your system. I never write reviews....until now. Chris has worked on my computers since I met him in 2002, when I was here for the summer during my seminary vacation. He did all the PC work for me for FREE for many years. He has solved many problems, some (maybe most) that I created myself. Now that I lead a big parish in Boca Raton, he still does most of my computer work, including for our offices. He has often used TeamViewer to fix my personal PC messes.
