Had a peach and pepper tea (can't remember the name) that was lovely, if pricey (€5 for a pot, would've been cheaper if I'd ordered more). If I could, this would be a 4.5 star review, so I'm rounding up. Staff was friendly and pleasant, left me alone after ordering, and was kind and courteous to all of the customers. The lady seemed shocked when I asked her what was her favorite tea, as if no one ever bothered with her opinion. (Not a flavored gal, with a preference for greens). I've only been here once so far, yet I long to return, especially on a beautiful day where I need a reprieve from life, and just want some me time.

You can easily make a meal for two by getting just the kif assortment and eating a lot of bread. But instead we got the kif's, a couscous AND a tagine for two! We were so far from finishing the meal it was comical. House wine is very nice and goes well with the meal. The desserts look good, but as you can see, we did not have room to eat that. The staff are extremely friendly. I saw them accommodate an old man who just wanted to stop in for a dessert. It started dumping rain after so they gave him an umbrella! They also told us we can wait out the rain, but instead we got impatient and just got really wet. (naturally, the rain stopped as we reached the tram station a couple blocks away.) Highly recommended for anyone visiting this part of Brussels. It is hard to escape from the high rent low value touristy areas if you are visiting. Make a point of visiting this part of Brussels to get a different perspective of life here.

The vanilla filling is to die for. We've taken visiting friends to Méert and bought more and more of their gaufres, but never had we actually eaten in. We decided, after seeing their luxurious looking tarts, that we had to try them. When we arrived, all the tables out front in the Galeries Royales Saint Hubert were full, as well as the small number of tables in the actual shop. We ordered our tarts and only had to wait about five minutes before a free table opened up and we were seated. We ordered the Tarte Yuzu and the Jardin D'Eden. You can read the description of both, and all the others, in the pictures I attached. We also ordered tea. I recommend smelling all the teas in the shop before you decide on which one to order, as they all sound delectable. The tartes were amazing. So we'll prepared. The Yuzu was both of our favorites, but the Jardin D'Eden, a pistachio confectionery, was in no way bad, we just preferred the Yuzu, mint and lemon confit, and the hazelnut crunchy layer. When we come been, and we definitely plan on coming back, we're going to get another Yuzu and try a different tarte for tarte number two for next time.

The tea shop appears to be family owned and both the wife and husband were extremely kind and helpful. The wife helped us pick tea, speaking a little English, and was very encouraging towards our own attempts at French. In addition to buying tea to go, we also had a cup on the spot. The tea was great and the environment was warm and relaxing, with jazz music playing in the background. Lastly, the store has a nice selection of different Belgian sweets (chocolate, cookies, etc.) from other businesses if tea is, well, not your cup of tea. Overall, this tea house is an amazing gem nestled in a rather busy and occasionally touristy area that should not be missed.

My friend went with the Simply, topped with cinnamon crumbles and a scoop of ice cream. What impressed me the most was the texture. Every bite was the perfect combination of warm waffle, rich chocolate, and cold ice cream. Even until the very last bite, the waffle stayed light and crispy without becoming soggy. That's not something you find very often, and it made the experience even more memorable. Yum! :p

Pay extra for seating but there's some standing tables outside.
