I had an extremely unprofessional experience at Comprehensive Primary Care - Germantown today. My appointment was scheduled for 10:30 AM. When I got stuck in heavy traffic, I immediately called their call center. The representative clearly informed me that there is a 15-minute grace period and that if I arrived before 10:45 AM, I would still be seen. I rushed and arrived at 10:43 AM. When I walked in, the front-desk receptionist was outside in the hallway on her personal phone. She came inside 10:44 AM. I explained that I had an appointment, had already checked in online the day before, and had also notified the call center that I might be slightly late. She took my ID and insurance card, then at 10:46 AM told me that I needed to reschedule. It honestly looked like the front desk receptionist had no interest in doing her job. Instead of following her own office policies or showing basic professionalism, she seemed perfectly fine wasting patients' valuable time. She acted as if rescheduling people was easier than actually helping them. It's clear she has no understanding--or concern--for how valuable someone's time is, especially when the patient followed all the instructions given by their own system. This was completely unacceptable. I arrived within the grace period, I communicated ahead of time, and still I was turned away due to staff negligence and lack of professionalism. This office needs serious improvement in customer service, accountability, and the way they respect patients' time. read more

My previous Doctor retired in March 2022. I had to find a new doctor. I decided on Comprehensive Primary Care; they are in Germantown and are easy to get to from my house.l The Good All in one location, labwork and Doctors are simple and easy. Great parking and the location is right off Germantown road. The bad You leave them a voicemail requesting prescription refills, and they may or may not respond. You must go to 2, 3, or more voicemails to get a response. Look, the reality is that my medical journey is my medical journey. I want to know if my doctor is working with me. I may have to change Doctors, as these guys are average to below average. Unfortunately, no amount of convenience makes the averagely acceptable. read more

Some OWL at the desk is rude in person and over the phone! The office is overbooked! They are not professional at all!!! First time ever cashing to make an appointment and they let a time get booked so we get an earlier time and arrive and they reschedule for the following week. I said what I said you are not going to carry a rude time over the phone with me and then we show up and you play games on to of that because of your rudeness. I ask to speak with someone else if making the appointment would be problematic for her. With an appointment scheduled and you site up on time, we were "turned away" because she realized that she was rude over the phone, got addressed and wanted to be petty at this point. She ended up rescheduling saying it was due to a glitch in their system. She was slow making the first adjournment at 3, then noon and now nothing was available the entire time we side over the phone? The waiting room was so full and people standing...they must tend to overbook but no one else was rescheduled but us due to the previous phone conversation. So, I called again to speak to the office manager directly and they left me on hold until they hung up on me. They will never see a dime from the insurance or otherwise. You're fired! Please do better and be more professional. I will pass this information along to others. read more

This morning I called to make an appointment with my PCP, usually a smooth process with nice front desk assistants or admin desk (idk their technical titles). However, this morning I got one named Jessie. Idk if this is her usual attitude and demeanor but she was incredibly short and rude. As I was scheduling an appointment, I asked her if (like the last 2 times I had called and made an appt) if the same request could be passed to my PCP for a temporary prescription since our appointment was so far out. Before I was even done explaining or stating the type of appointment that I wanted, Jessie interrupted me. She proceeded to talk over me before abruptly hanging up on me (transferring me, but it's the same message). She transferred me to a different line without even confirming my appointment with me. I called back and my first call was ignored. I called again and got Jessie on the second try. I stated that I had been hung up on to which she interrupted me with a horrific attitude "Ma'am I didn't hang up on you, I transferred you." I state that in doing so she did not confirm my appointment or give me a chance to explain why transferring me so abruptly was unhelpful. She tells me my appointment is in-person (which I did not want). I explain that I wanted tele-health and she then blamed me, stating "Well you didn't tell me that." It's hard to do so when you're interrupted and then hung up on. I attempt to say this, confirm my appointment, and once again try to explain my previous experience of being able to have the front desk send my message and get an understanding of what had changed this time, if there was anything different in their policies. But she didn't give me a chance as she then again interrupts me! Then she abruptly transfers me again! This time to a different assistant (maybe a superior idk - She didnt tell me her name) whom was also short with me but I figure that may possibly be due to whatever assumptions were made from Jessie's report of our conversation and her transferring me. Again, I don't know if this is her usual personality and attitude, or if even something about me asking her to send a quick message bothered her. But if you're scheduling an appointment here and get Jessie, hopefully you get her on a good day or are able to request a different scheduler. read more

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. The first time I went there I waited 45 minutes in an exam room for the doctor. Not realizing it was the same place until I got there this morning, I checked in for my 10:15am appointment at the kiosk at 10am as it says to do on the reception window. I also saw the person sitting behind the desk when I went to get some hand sanitizer. I sat down. I listened to the reception staff have several unprofessional conversations and then one mentioned my insurance and that they were not sure if they took it. Now keep in mind they have had my insurance information for a week and a half at this point, but have not checked it. So I assume they are checking it. Then I hear a woman behind the glass complain that she "hates that they take internet appointments because even though people check in, they never show up". So since I was there and had checked in on their machine I didn't think she was talking about me. Apparently she was, even though I was more than on time for my appointment and sitting in their waiting room and had check in in person at their kiosk. So I wait until 30 minutes past my appointment. I ask for the office manager at that point because I am fed up. Waited 15 minutes for her and she never showed her face to talk to me, so all in all I spent an hour at this stupid place where I had an appointment and never got to be seen. What a waste of space and time. Do yourself a favor and don't bother with these clowns, they just aren't worth it. read more

The ladies at the front desk are so LOUD and unprofessional. Having personal talks with one another while patients are right in front of them, discussing other patients while the rest of us waiting could clearly hear them, isn't that against HIPPA laws???! What put me off most was how loudly they were discussing their personal issues. They didn't seem to care that they were in a professional office and not their living room. Ridiculous! Smh. read more

Well first of all I would like to say I have been coming to comprehensive primary care for probably a total of 20 years because this is where my mother started out and then I started with Dr.Kludinev then Dr. Bangalore now Lyn Mays needless to say all these docs are awesome I especially love the staff oh goodness how many can I mention I love Lyn Mays I love Tasha I love Angie I love yessenia I love Irene I love Roxy and of course Dr. B. The staff is amazing I can't cannot ask for a better staff they're always polite mannerly I just can't say enough about this practice I love them all so much and I would highly highly recommend this doctors office to anyone 150+ percent from me. I have been a patient of CPC for years, and always very pleased with their care. Yesterday I needed an urgent appointment and saw Dr. Madan Bangalore for the first time. He was excellent! I required an Ultrasound immediately (stat) for possible Deep Vein Thrombosis, and the entire staff kicked in to find a radiologist who could perform it immediately (on a Friday afternoon at 4pm!!). Gave it one star because it doesn't allow for negative stars. The doctors here may be good but getting things like referrals out of the office staff is next to impossible. First off, most every time you call no matter what time of day it is they always transfer you to a voice mail system to leave a message. You have to call about 6 to 10 times before you can finally reach someone and i believe that they only finally talk to you because they are tired of answering the phone. My daughter called to get a referral she needed and they told her it was going to take 72 hours for a referral. My daughter told them "but she's in pain now and needs a referral now, they said sorry that's the way it goes. When she asked what she was suppose to do, they told her to go to the emergency room. So, she goes to the emergency room, gets admitted. Long story short, she needs a referral for a followup Dr appointment. The hospital after being transfered to voicemail several times gets to make her an appointment to pick up a referral. Two days later this place tells her she doesn't need to come in for the referral they already faxed it that's good right? Wrong. We get to the Dr office the referral is for and the referral is only half filled out. Now the referred Dr office has to call for the rest of the information gets transfered to voicemail several times gets annoyed also, calls again and tells them they cant keep sending her to voicemail mail she needs to get this referral complete. So we get delayed 35 minutes trying to get the referral filled out properly. Bottom line is the office staff at this practice is lazy and doesn't want to do there job, at the very least they have little care for patient care. Its a shame, this could be a good practice if only the office staff would actually do their job to earn their pay. read more

I have been going to this practice for several years, and have been very happy with everyone. The doctor I initially saw left to start her own practice and I was concerned because I didn't know any of the other practitioners. I was pleasantly surprised. I have seen everyone there but I love Dr. Sastry and Dr. Bangalore. I have had some health scares and they are both very compassionate physicians. This past winter, I had COVID and saw Dr. Bangalore via telemedicine. I was in contact with him weekly and once he even called me after I sent him a message through the portal to make sure he actually communicated with me. The front desk staff has always been very pleasant and helpful to me. When I call, if I am put on hold, it is for a very short period of time and they always help me out. read more

My mom had a terrible experience with these people. During her wellness check, they offered to give her an echocardiogram for about 200 bucks. The catch was that they wouldn't charge the insurance. She declined and wanted to have a referral to a cardiologist office. The doctor gave her the number to call and the PA (sounded like she was Russian) literally yelled at her stating that she had the wrong number. My mom went back and forth with her for 15 minutes. Finally she gave up. I heard the entire conversation and was appalled. The same PA who had given her an EKG during the wellness check was downright nasty. When my mom asked how it looked, she literally snapped back and said well at least you have a heart and walked out. Fortunately she had another physical this year (2018) and was given the proper treatment and was given a referral. Stay away from these people. read more

My two primary doctors were Dr. Karesh and Dr. Bangalore--both are very caring doctors with an outstanding bedside manner! I highly recommend Comprehensive Primary Care in Germantown, especially if seeing either of these two amazing doctors. read more

Terrible back office team. I wish I could rate the the rest of my experience but I'm out 200 dollars for a Wellness visit due to the absolutely sloppy work done by the billing department. Additionally, they argued with me telling me my Wellness visit (which was confirmed AS a Wellness visit by Donna at the actual doctor's office 15 minutes before calling them) was NOT a Wellness visit but an office visit. I literally fought on the phone with the billing manager(Marta/Martha) for 15 minutes with her insisting that it was an office visit, coded correctly, and they'd do me a "favor" and code it another way (as a wellness visit and correctly) and resubmit to the insurance company, but she's not even sure they'd pay it. As a Benefits Coordinator myself, I spoke to the insurance rep directly and confirmed that yes, they will pay it. They have a year from the date of service (confirmed by my insurance rep) and NOT 3 months like Marta or Martha from this office continuously told me on the phone. It's been nearly 2 months since she 'resubmitted' the claim and my insurance company still hasn't received it. I doubt they actually resubmitted it and I'm not holding my breath for a refund as their previous work speaks for itself. If you want to use Dr. Hubbly/Dr. Bangalore see what other offices they work through or you'll go through a headache and a half with their terrible billing procedures. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Bangalore for years and he has been very nice but his staff is horrible and rude. This morning I tried to schedule an appointment for my sick fiance and they wouldn't accept a new patient appointment. When I asked about myself they had an open slot. I told them I work in healthcare and this seemed wrong to me and I was hung up on. The woman i spoke with explained new patient visits take longer. So basically, they eat up more time which is less money through the door. Not going back to a place that treats longtime patients this way and would rather profit financially then help someone who's sick. read more

I have been a patient of this practice at three different locations over 15 years. I currently see Dr. Bangalore in Germantown. He is pleasant, easy to talk too, and listens to my complaints. I love the patient portal where I can check my own lab results, send the doctor an email, and book appointments on-line. read more

Dr. Hubbly is a terriffic doctor. She is kind, caring and LISTENS!! Located across Observation and Germantown from Montgomery College Germantown campus. Initially, it is hard to find, and there is no directory on the Germantown Road side of the building. The difficulties of the location are the only reason I'm taking a star off. read more

I've been seeing Dr.Karesh for years and so does my kids. He has wonderful bedside manners. His staff always makes me feel comfortable. But ever since Donna & Desiree is no longer under him. My prescriptions are not getting taken care of. Dr. Karesh was on vacation and my form was not filled out for 3 weeks. His assistant is very rude and I'm ready to take my business elsewhere. read more

Probably the worst experience I've ever had with any primary care doctor. I went for a wellness checkup with Janice Hodge. She was curt and impatient, and she derided me for taking up too much time with questions. In the end she refused to discuss an issue I brought up because "only fifteen minutes is allotted to each patient". No one ever contacted me about the results of my bloodwork, and they never registered me on their online "patient portal". I had to contact them repeatedly to get my results. When they finally came in after a week (!) there were no notes provided and I was left to interpret the results on my own. I called in repeatedly to get an explanation, and when I finally got hold of the medical assistant, whose English is passable at best, I was told that if I want advice from Nurse Hodge on my condition I would have to make another appointment because "Nurse Hodge does not discuss matters on the phone because it's unprofessional".
