There's a ton of other providers I'd recommend maybe avoiding this one in general. They wanted to charged me 250 for two missed appointments and they could've already made thousands off my insurance company, had they waived these fees obviously they care more about big corporations and less about actual client care. Avoid at all cost if you think you mite ever miss an appointment for any reason.

I was able to get an appointment and knew immediately that Jill was someone who I would be able to trust and confide in. I started seeing Jill weekly back in January of 2018 (again, she is life changing). Jill helped me to begin to work through so many different issues that I was finding difficulty in overcoming (self identity, parental issues, anxiety, etc.). She allowed me to cry, share my thoughts aloud, let things go, breathe, challenge myself, and so much more. It is because of Jill's understanding and encouragement that I began to heal myself. So here I am, re-posting one, which in itself should help you understand how important this is. Let me try to recall what I had previously written: Having been to many therapists - some when I didn't really want the help and some after I decided I wanted to get healthy. What I've come to realize is that Jill is the absolute best therapist, but ONLY if you are ready to get help. If you don't want to get help and if you plan on lying through your sessions, you won't like her. What I mean by that is she's not dumb and you're not fooling her, even if you think you are. And if you're trying, it's just a waste of money. I'm not saying this from experience. In fact, when I had Jill as an individual therapist as well as group therapist, I was more than ready to be in a better place. I know this because even in my willing mind, it was challenging. I find myself to be pretty well connected to my emotions, how I'm feeling and why, my upbringing, relationships, etc etc..and even still, Jill was able to make so many connections that I hadn't. I felt I knew the ins and outs of how therapy works, and I addressed that with Jill. I questioned what she was thinking about what I was saying and talked about myself as an individual vs myself as a patient. I was able to bring up the topic of therapy as well as all of the issues that brought me there in the first place. Jill's office became a place where no subject was off limits. I know it seems like that is what therapy should be, but very rarely have I felt comfortable enough with a therapist to really open up. As much as I may have made it seem like she's tough, she's also one of the nicest people I've ever met, especially in her industry. I have been in a healthy relationship for 3 years and just got engaged. I have thru-hiked the entire Appalachian Trail last year, and am currently writing this review from the Pacific Crest Trail. I am strong enough to physically, mentally, and emotionally be able to participate in the lifestyle that I love, alongside a person I love - two things I would have never been able to do had it not been for Jill. If you are living in Atlanta or in the surrounding area, know that there is a fantastic therapist that is very missed in New York and who is sure to change lives wherever she goes.. I would consider not passing out to be a good life skill. Therefore, I've started seeing Amy Burnett and she is lovely. Last year when my daughter was in third grade at school, she was shown a documentary of September…read more11th that included actual video footage of the towers falling. While we had discussed this date in our history and what happened, she had never seen videos of it happening. She was old enough to understand that thousands of people were dying as she watched...this was different than any Hollywood special effects. It was a traumatic experience for her in that she was uncontrollably shaking and crying for the next several days. Nightmares and intense anxieties followed for weeks. We sought the help of a children's counselor, but also came to BrainCore Marietta for help. Melissa made us so comfortable in explaining the tests she would perform on my daughter, how it would feel, how long each portion would last. And then she was fabulous at explaining the results of the brain map, what different areas meant, and how she would go about stimulating the different areas of my daughter's brain to promote less worry and anxiety and more peaceful sleeping. My daughter went through several months of treatments. Mid-way through, we had another brain map done which showed amazing progress was being made. Then again near the end of her treatments, which showed a drastic change in overactive areas of her brain. We are almost six months out from this therapy and it is rare now that my daughter has any bad dreams. Her anxiety levels are mostly non-existent. I know that the BrainCore therapy had much to do with these improvements. I am so thankful for Melissa's knowledge and experience in relieving the internal terror my daughter was experiencing on a constant basis. Melissa was so extremely patient and kind throughout every interaction. I feel like this made such a dramatic difference in the life of my (then) nine year old, that took her from a trembling mess of fear over everything and the worry that terrorists would break into our home at night to a carefree child once again more concerned over turning cartwheels and twirling frilly dresses.
