This place used to work smoothly in the old location. Now it's really screwed up. They have tons of…read morenew equipment they don't need and don't use, but the operation of it is horribly inefficient. If you have a couple bags of kitchen trash to drop off, you have to go through a big truck scale and wait five minutes behind a long line of cars and trucks, some of them dumping tons of yard waste or construction debris. It's very inconvenient. Then when you get to the scale they don't weigh your load or even look at it. They just wanted to make you wait in line in the hot sun for no reason. The whole process is very poorly designed and their operation of it seems improvised and haphazard. It's not worth it.

Today we thought we would check their scales by having the crates pre-weighed at a Federal Express terminal. Well, the crate weighed 47lbs. at Federal Express and when I had them weigh the exact same crate, with absolutely no changes, the Metal Recycling scales said it only weighed 20 lbs. Now, maybe by placing the crates on the edge of the scale instead on the center somehow lessens the weight, but when I point out the discrepancy I was asked if I wanted to go sell it at FedEx. Something very wrong at this place....... BEWARE. And remember, there are other metal recycling companies around.

Original message: We have paid for trash AND recycling services. Every 2 weeks, we have a separate pick up with a separate recycling bin and there are supposed to be 2 trucks to pick up the trash and recycling. On at least 3 documented occasions within the past 6 months (the last 2 being today and 2 weeks ago on 10/25/23), only one truck has been sent to pick up both the trash and recycling. I called and spoke to the company and their dispatcher 2 weeks ago when this happened. They admitted fault and offered a credit to me and to my neighbors and promised that it would be taken care of. Apparently it hasn't as only one truck came again today to pick up both trash and recycling! I've also contacted the York County waste management service to alert them. I recycle because I want to try to do my part to eliminate waste in the landfills. This needs to stop and people within the organization that are responsible should be held accountable.
