The highlights stop there. I trust part of this is a reflection of the state then parish and ultimately the district schools have to carry out the policies yet a number of things make no sense. For starters, there's limited contact with families when dealing with special needs/IEP/504 students. Some kids are responsible and engaged enough to have an active hand in resolving matters or relaying information. Not all kids. Particularly when it's been established...this is a special needs student. Secondly, communication via email falters between aokay... to non-existent. Third, online classes are to be completed in the building. Not remotely. This can work when there's an attentive moderator or instructor present BUT THIS ALSO INTERFERES with NOT ALL KIDS can adhere to the old school traditional, in class all day, process. Yes folks.... Some people are differently abled. Not looking for "special" treatment just modest adaptations. You know like providing a ramp for wheel chair bound individuals or those with walking limitations. Not special just equalizing. Maybe this is a product of the times/LA/mental awareness either way there's room for improvement.

My English teacher literally assigned us work over and over. And she was completely biased. A teachers job is to help a student but she offered no help at all. I work a 9-10 job on weekends and on some weekdays I work from the end of school to 10 sometimes and I don't have time to do work all the times. She didn't offer help nor give me a chance to make up work and turn it in in my experience it wasn't too good. Straight up told me I was gonna fail instead of motivating me like most teachers would lol 10/10 I should've stayed at bossier high school where they actually try to motivate you to get ur grades up and not just tell u ur not gonna pass or graduate shit puts mental stress on you when teachers say that.

It was a good experience and the best part of my journey here was feeling like I mattered and that I belonged which helped bring back a sense of love for humanity that I thought was forever lost. I was treated like family. After a few horrible experiences with other agencies, I can say this place is a gem. The staff is very proactive and I was very pleased to have been assigned a caregiver who was compassionate, kind, and did a wonderful job managing my needs over the months that I was under her care. Gloria was amazing and superb! Thank you so much for creating such a loving, warm, supportive and inclusive atmosphere GLOW, you are making a difference one life at a time. Bricks 4 Kidz just hosted my 6 year old son's birthday party. The kids and parents had a great…read moretime. They were able to built a Minecraft figure (per my son's request) and their own figures. They already had a decorated table set up for the cake and other snacks. The director/host organized and led all the activities which was very nice for the parents. The price is also way below what you'd expect for someone entertaining 8 children for almost 2 hours. I'd highly recommend!
