OMG, they were so peppered no one could eat them!! I don't know if there is an incompetent or disgruntled employee in the meat market--either way, the hamburgers sucked. I called the store and spoke to someone in the meat market. They offered to replace them, but that would mean driving over there, picking them up, returning home, and cooking the next batch. They said it must have been a bad batch. I don't buy that. The meatloaf this past week was just as peppered. Management ought to be concerned if an employee is working to lose a lot of loyal customers if they don't get a quality control program in place. This customer is going to Champagne's for the next burgers.

We stopped going to silvers, and go To BP now. we love that place, the manager is so sweet, u can tell she prides herself, honestly that place has never had someone like her and it shows. Her crew is pretty awesome we like the girls a lot (i watched one day when the dark haired girl took her time to explain to an older couple how to play) she was so helpful! I don't think there are many ppl that go in there that they don't know. they know what we drink, what we play, it's great how well they know their customers. The casino manager will even go to the store and get whatever we need most times it's my cigs. the place is always clean and so inviting. It doesn't get enough credit! And it should!. I read reviews about the store and some of that negativity drowns the good about the place, like the casino. BP Needs more employees like the manager and the girls who work there. i just wanted to thank the manager for explaning the park to pay, and being the friendly face of BP (I know her name don't want to blast it) she works hard and it shows.

Walking in, you can see that they are serious about keeping things cool- this is one of very few grocers that I've seen that sells huge blocks of ice, not little cubes in a bag, but big bricks of the cold stuff. Inside the store, you'll see all kinds of Cajun foods that you can't get in Yankee land. I enjoyed looking through their pre-made foods for their southern style cooking. Be sure to check out their sandwiches. Everything looked delicious! Someone makes them some of their local foods- I got some pepper jelly that was made especially for this location! The store was a bit dated, and not as fancy as some that you may have been in, but it makes up for it in charm. They have lots of the best Cajun brands, as well as some national ones as well. The prices were a bit higher than some other stores, but you're out here in the bayou, so it's hard to get. The clerks were friendly though. There's a small liquor store in the corner of the store. They sell all the national brands, but don't expect anything wild.
