Our whole world collapsed on December 23, 2021. I woke up in excruciating pain, unable to fully take a whole breath. After being admitted to the hospital, I found out I had a severe form of necrotizing pancreatitis. After spending more than half a year in the hospital I was released with humility in my heart for being able to see my children grow up. In time, we realized that I had a chronic form of pancreatic disease. I will suffer flare-ups in perpetuity. My diet would make most people look slack-jawed at how minimalist it is. Cooked veggies, bone-broth, High-protein Ensure. That's basically it. Everything else causes severe pain. Trust me, I've tried. All of this leads me to Dr Murphy and his Chronic pain-management practice. Unlike many doctors, Dr Murphy and his staff are warm and welcoming and treat you like family. The amount of professionalism at this practice is in a league of its own. I filled out a twenty-four page package that allowed Dr Murphy to treat me to the best of his ability before I even stepped foot in his practice. They do random drug & alcohol screenings so that he can give you the very best care. I feel safe knowing that I'm being treated with the highest medical standards within a practice that I can trust to really make sure I am not only treating my pain, but, safely doing so. I cannot recommend Dr Murphy and his staff enough. I'd trust them with own health, as well as any loved ones, if they should ever need such services. If you're looking for a serious chronic pain management practice that takes into account your mental and physical health as well as all safety measures, look no further. This is the place to go.

My doctor sent an extensive detailed referral to this office and then I'm told by their new patient coordinator that they don't take out of state referrals. Now I'm hung out to dry. I wouldn't go here as I wasted days getting this referral in place and no I am back at square one. Seems like a new patient coordinator having held the office position for 16 years as she stated would make sure the staff dealing with patients seeking helpful transfer information would provide prospective patients with accurate information. So each night I am kept awake with my pain I will remember this disrespectful treatment. Beware. I should have listened to the other reviews.

Other doctors I've seen gave me only pain medication. Even after taking strong pain killers the pain was sometimes so bad that I couldn't even get out of bed or stand up. Tang and Dr Liu realized that I needed more than just pain medicines and they began giving me lumbar injections. The results have been amazing. I have had the opportunity to use her for 2 very different issues. I had a hyperstrained muscle in my back which radiated through my chest and it felt like a heart problem. Even a trip to the emergency room yielded no positive results. In my appointment with Dr Cruz, she located the source of the pain, and gave me an injection into the problem muscle. It immediately relaxed and the entirety of the pain and discomfort were gone within 10 minutes total. A miracle in my mind. My second issue was 2 years later as I was experiencing pain with what is normally associated with sciatica caused by lower back issues. After 2 1/2 months of therapy from a chiropractor in which things were only getting worse, I made an appointment with Dr Cruz. She located the source of the pain. She developed a non-surgical treatment plan which involved a non-invasive radio frequency procedure. One treatment and I felt all pain disappear. Another miracle in my opinion. Dr Cruz is a wonderful doctor. She is cordial and professional, and she listens intently while you explain what you see as the source of your pain. She branched out on her own and opened Adavanced Physical Medicine Spine & Joint Center. The office is located in the plaza on the west side of the intersection of Alt 19 & Alderman in Palm Harbor. The plaza is located just south of Fairway Pizza on Alt 19. Dr Cruz gets my highest of recommendations. You will get personalized focused attention from her. She also speaks fluent spanish which is a big plus if you communicate best using spanish.
