Most if not all do not have a CNA and non as far as I am aware are able to administer meds. Scheduling and reliable transportation is an major issue Also LOCK your love one's valuables away. July 2025 One of the caregiver's from Brandon Home Instead was CAUGHT STEALING AND PAWNED my some of mother's jewelry what she could not pawn she still has. She went to t the local ( 5 minutes from the client's home) PAWN shop. Caught on client's camera and PAWN SHOP video and now has a FELONY! Home Instead DIDNOT SHOW RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE EMPLOYEE's ACTION, I am sure this was not her first time stealing from an elderly. Home Instead has insurance for such issues. Care giver BROKE a brand new toilet in May 2025 and Home Instead would not reimburse for that ( caregiver was......weight) Had a couple of care givers help them self with family dinner, snacks and gloves I can go on and on. First number I found was executive. Jason, who turned out to be a co owner answered and patiently answered my questions. I had to give it some thought. There was no pressure at all, which was refreshing. A few days later, I called and asked for services & he actually came out to assess my needs, do paperwork. I had thought it was owned by some big corporation, But no, owned by a couple. I had them for about 6 weeks, weekly. Two aides, both very nice and helpful. They called to check on me, had no problem with a last minute request for a visit. As an RN of 40 yrs, not easily impressed, but I was. Hate to have to have help as a caregiver, but should you ever need some, I highly recommend Jason & Claudia's company.

I have been…read moreforgotten numerous times, I don't think any of the nurses have been on-time, and rarely do they have supplies with them or have caused me to run out by not ordering enough. I have heard so many excuses I think they are starting to repeat them. I have actually had to refuse a nurse because she has made things worse. They are so desperate for nurses they will take anyone, and are working the ones they have too much that they are getting negligent. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Since this is only day two of my home care, I will relay yesterday's hour. I had to call the office…read moremid afternoon as no on was in touch as to the time of my appointment. Shortly after, the nurse knocked on my door (?) and her first words were " I'm so busy, I really don't have a lot of time" . Actually that was repeated as nauseum. She was constantly on the phone, couldn't answer my questions "because I'm just here to get information. I consolidate upset and told her if she didn't have time for ME, which is why she was in my home, perhaps she should leave. It may have been a bad day for her but as a post surgery person, I think mine wasn't the best I've had, either. She spoke so quickly and how other patients treated her, I again said the focus should be on me. When she finally got her information, she got on the phone regarding some personal needs of mine, the answer was a quick no, BUT nurse Douglas did me a favor of getting some food into my home AND promised not once or twice but three times that she would call their Social Services dept to have them call and she would as well. It is 4:40 and no such phone call. Called them and the phone was OFF. An I happy? So glad to have a couple of day's food I am grateful for that. As I said, it's only day two, the phone is shut off ( wish I had that but of info, no word to a completely anxious person. Perhaps IF they call/ show another time, we will all improve.
