I've had my whole transmission overhauled by them years ago and they went above and beyond to try to keep the price as low as possible. It was genuinely incredible what they were able to do for me then. Hello, I bought a T5 World Class HP Rebuilt Kit w/ Pro Series Carbon Synchro Ford Mustang. It came in the box with no wrapping protection, not anything to stop parts from banging around. Seller acknowledged and acted as if it's no big deal. It's a big deal when spending almost 600 dollars for scratched up parts. I added photos below to let the next buyer know what they may be buying when dealing with competition transmission. They did offer a refund on eBay, but even though parts had scratches. They were still usable, but Seller Mike from California Competition Transmission did not apologize, He was rude and unprofessional. These guys were great. The transmission in my older (2006) Explorer had a shudder, would not always shift out of 3rd, and would lurch when beginning to move. Anthony gave me the options. Try replacing the torque converter or go with a rebuilt transmission. The rest of the transmission might fail sooner than later and would be more expensive in the long run. I decided it would be better to replace the transmission since the the rest might fail after paying for only a torque converter. Got a call from Anthony telling me that the technician that inspected the transmission found that it was still in great shape and only the torque converter needed replaced. I appreciate their honesty as I would have paid double to replace the transmission. My transmission is now as smooth as warm butter! read more

We've now used CT on two different vehicles over the last 6 years. First on a Lexus IS250 in 2018 that the dealer wanted to put a whole new transmission in (only needed a few parts replaced), and then this year Anthony rebuilt our Chrysler Town and Country. Both were a great price with great service, the T&C looked even better than when we dropped it off. Lexus hasn't had any issues since and the T&C feels great. Hopefully we won't need to, but would definitely use Anthony again for any transmission issues. read more

I can't say enough about Anthony a competition Transmissions. I was on my way to Lake Havasu in a 2007 Ford E350 van that had 279,000 miles on it. The transmission started to shutter halfway to Lake Havasu. I knew that Anthony was the best local transmission shop however he wasn't close to me. I called him and told him about the problem and he recommended a $12 fix that I could get at a auto parts store. I stopped at the auto parts store and it's fixed the problem. My 2015 Enclave's tranny was acting up. Received a referral from a great shop in Santa Clarita called Bohan's to give Competition a call. So I called and spoke with a nice gentleman by the name of Anthony who said he would do a free evaluation of the car and spoke highly of the company and that they would give me a fair price for the work whatever the issue was. Took the car in for the eval and awaited atheir call. Anthony called within a couple of hours to let me know the issue was a bad torque converter. Anthony quoted me a great price and reiterated that the eval was free and that I could come pick the car up if I wanted a second opinion. He also reassured me that if they did the work, it would be solid and that if it were his own family, he would recommend the same parts and service. So I told him to get started, and he said it would take a week to get parts and complete. He also mentioned that if I needed a rental car that one could be had at a local service with which he has a business relationship discounted rate. To my surprise, much less than a week later, I received the call that the car was repaired and I could pick it up. It runs just as it did before the problem occurred, and I thank Competition for the great work, fair price, and early completion. Only time will tell but I expect the the tranny to run as it should for another 150K as Anthony suggested. I certainly recommend giving this shop a try if you have any transmission problems. read more
