Dr. Roberts helped me with one of the most difficult days I've ever experienced. My 19 1/2 year old cat and soulmate, King G, was finally ready to crossover. It was a day I'd been dreading for so many years, and I was a heartbroken wreck. She was available on short notice that day, came right on time, and worked calmly and with great compassion; I never had to move from my bed holding King. He passed peacefully in my arms, lying by my side the way he always loved to. I couldn't have asked for a more comfortable, calm passing for him, and for me really. To not have had to take him someplace loud and foreign for his final moments - and in the state that I was in - is something that was of the utmost importance to me, and Dr. Roberts made that possible. The whole process was smooth, without issue, and she left plenty of room for my grief. A few weeks later, as she promised, she delivered the urn with his ashes, and the paw print I purchased in addition. I'm still processing the loss of my best friend, and I suspect I will be for a long time. But I can't emphasize enough how grateful I am for Dr. Roberts. She is a true and kind professional, and I highly recommend her for anyone who finally has to say goodbye to their friend, and wishes to do so with grace and dignity from the peace and comfort of their own home. My 12 y/o boxer was feeling worse and the veterinarian that I go to can not allow you inside their facility due to the covid-19 and it was time to let my dog pass away and I wanted to be present when it was time for him to go to heaven, so I had to look for another option and I remember seeing a post like 2 years ago on FB recommending Dr. Roberts so I sent her a message. She replied to my message the same day and asked me when I would like to do the home visit and gave me time to think about it and I was thinking my boxer had a few more days left and he got worse the next day so Dr. Roberts made the time to stop by and squeezed me in her schedule to help my dog. She was compassionate, professional and kind and let us say goodbye to our dog. He was already dying and I requested to give him a combination of anesthesia and the medication to stop him from suffering and he passed away. I am forever grateful that she was available and that It was done at my house and that I was there to see him taking his last breath... After a trip to the emergency vet during the rapid decline of our sweet 16 year old Border Collie, along with the medical team--we agreed that it was time to let her rest. Because of the pandemic we were not allowed to be present during euthanasia at the vet's office, which was not an option for us. We made a call to Dr. Roberts from the vet's parking lot--she kindly agreed to meet us at our house. With no notice, she was able to be there within a half hour. A month ago I had to make the painful decision to Have my 22 year old kitty, Buttons, euthenized. She was with us for so many years and it's the hardest decision I've ever had to make. On the evening of December 5th, my husband and I had to have our dear sweet Annie put to sleep. She had been declining in health for about 2 months, but at only age 11 1/2, it seemed too soon for us to lose her. If we were to have her euthanized, I wanted it done at home as I had done for our previous furry family member, Bonnie, when we were residing in Colorado. Saying good-bye to our pets is one of the hardest things we have to do as their owners. This year has been an extremely difficult year for everyone and mine became even harder when I realized I was not only going to have to say goodbye to my beloved cat of 13 years but also say goodbye to a cat that had became my 6 year old daughters sidekick. I knew this day would come, and I have been dreading it, ever since she was a puppy. Luckily enough, we got exactly 13 years, 4 months and 1 day with our sweet/stinky Black Lab Bailey. Lana was amazing! She came to our home and explained everything and answered all our questions and was so great with Oliver. Oliver had been fighting for over a week with an auto immune disorder that quickly sent him down hill. Lana helped us to end his pain. She and her husband took him and had him cremated. She brought back an amazing key chain with some of Oliver's ashes and hair and a great box with Oliver's ashes in it and a footprint. I have known Dr. Roberts for 14 years as she was my dogs first vet. I recently had to have my Golden Retriever euthanized at 13 1/2 . Pretty sad day although Dr. Roberts made it much easier with her at home service. Did not have to take Tucker to the clinic and have him euthanized in a strange place. My 9-year-old dog named Milo had been diagnosed with cancer, and I knew when the time came I wanted him to be in the comfort of his home. Dr Lana Roberts came to our home to help us send our Great Dane, Atlas, over the rainbow bridge. I could not speak more highly of the experience. She was very responsive over multiple times I contacted her throughout his last month with us, while we decided what was best. She was very pleasant to work with. Our buddy spent his last moments doing what he loved best...hanging out with his family, and eating whipped cream from a spray can.
