I hired J'Arrange Your Space to help me with large projects on two floors of my home. They are…read moreamazing! Before I explain my appreciation, please allow me to set the stage. I had a tough few years -- a 2019 car accident left me 40+ lbs slimmer (unintentionally) from a size 6/8 to a 0/00 -- with severe, permanent injuries that meant painful flare-ups every time I tried to bag up my old wardrobe for donation. A year ago, a catastrophic sewer line break flooded two floors of my home, leading to a large renovation project and leaving a huge mess behind. Before and after that, I had smaller home water emergencies that also required renovations. Finally, a former resident of my home caused and hid life-threatening mold that not only led to me in critical condition at a hospital -- but also required major home renovations to repair as well. The former resident left so many possessions in my home that I needed help disposing of them all since I can no longer do that kind of work myself. Jennifer and her team truly came to my rescue! In the course of a few weekends, they: --cleared a small bedroom that I'd previously used as a closet (with Amazon racks) -- where I'd piled up bags of my older, way-too-big clothes -- to make room for a custom closet that I decided to have installed last minute after reviewing the Instagram page for Jennifer's company. Jennifer may not have realized this at the time, but her helping me make this happen felt like a way to honor what my body has been through these last few years by displaying the clothes I can only fit now because of the car accident. --set up that same room with my new clothes and a pretty shoe wall after Modular Closets installed the custom closet. --cleared a guest bathroom and guest bedroom of more clothes I couldn't fit, sorted items thrown in both rooms during renovations and during multiple moves in/out of Airbnbs and hotels while the house was repaired. They also cleared these areas and the basement (more on that below) of items left behind by a former resident. --made my finished basement useable again by: bagging up trash and donations, organizing the bulk of the storage room, and repurposing items from the upstairs bedroom to have a new life in the basement (clothing racks used for my old clothes in a spare bedroom are now used for my dogs' clothes, for example) --last but certainly not least, they organized my master bedroom and guest bedroom closets and drawers in a manageable way I think I can keep up over time. Jennifer is also a walking dictionary of items from Amazon that can help with organization without breaking the bank. I had some organization items but appreciated the suggestions for what to add and look forward to continuing to use those items over time. I got to know Jennifer and three team members over a month while we worked on this project. I trust them and recommend them wholeheartedly. They know my home better than I do at this point. :) They bagged up 45+ bags of clothes, shoes and other items for donation (plus many bags for trash/junk hauling). I am so grateful for them. This was truly money well spent. It's the fresh start I truly needed!

When my first organizer had to retire abruptly pre-covid I tried several others but none were…read morewilling to do what I needed: organize the mess themselves so we could get to work together on the actual organizing. Plus most say "I don't judge" or "I've seen worse", because Rebecca just got to work I realize I've never quite believed it. The photo is the result of only four hours of work, two of which I simply hid. Some is trash, obviously, although I do have an excuse for the hamper. The rest is donations, things I don't use or wear which other people actually need. I'm not attaching inside photos: I can finally get to the entire floor but haven't vacuumed it yet. It's like this: once things started to go bad it had just kept getting worse. My walk-in closet and bedroom had gotten so cluttered I didn't have a place to put clean laundry, had sheets in various places, rope baskets piled on top of boxes - all with a jumble of crafts and clothing and books and whatever. I couldn't even find space to pull it all out to sort it. Rebecca arrived, I hid in my study. 2 hours later she had things to the point that I could come in and start making decisions. And she'd found four cat brushes - I kept buying new ones and duplicates because I couldn't find what I had. My homework is getting all the laundry done and put away. She's gathered other groups of small things I can easily sort through to keep only what I need. And collecting all the paper including stuff to be filed so old I don't need it and old files. Only some of it needs to be shredded and I don't think she knows what she's getting into but know that she can handle it. Then we tackle the next stage. my living/dining room. We all had good intentions: during the lockdown we pulled things out of places to organize them then were too overwhelmed to actually do it. Three years and Rebecca got this part done in little over three hours.

We had to quickly empty her apartment to avoid all of her belongings being left on the curb as eviction laws require, but we live 3,000 miles away. Like a friend in need and a fire crew jumping down the pole in an emergency, the professionals from Back in Sorts Organizing Systems showed up on the Fourth of July morning, rescued her items (including five large file cabinets), opened a storage unit for us, and put it all in safe keeping. They returned again the next day for the last of it. They beat the eviction crew! And were incredibly compassionate, thorough and prompt in delivering their services.
