I'm still upset over how terrible I was treated recently at Littleton Animal Hospital!! They have…read moreadopted this new policy of being a "fear free, stress free environment for pets and employees"..... but they have taken it to the EXTREME!!! I relayed concerns over the phone of how poorly our dog's vet appointment went last year, while booking her an annual for this year. I relayed that my dog has high anxiety and would be better served if the staff would try to do the exam/shots within a reasonable time block. Basically, a normal pet exam/shots. Apparently, I came across on the phone as verbally aggressive!! I got a nasty email from the office manager Allison accusing me of being verbally abusive to their staff!! She declined animal care for all my pets and said I was no longer welcome at Littleton Animal Hospital because I didn't respect their practice philosophy. I had just been there 2 days prior. Our cat had her annual exam. I asked for an itemized print out of the charges after the exam and asked if the blood panel fee of $157. was for a full panel not partial. That is a reasonable question to ask. I was then accused in the "notes" that were in our pets summary report as being rude!! I have never felt so misunderstood, disrespected in my entire life!! Now I am gladly going to find a new vet for my pets! I am also very heartbroken bc I am not this terrible person they made me out to be in the nasty email I was sent!! I love my pets and I know them best and want to make their experience at the vet the least stressful as possible!! They expect a "perfect" no stress, zero fear based environment!! I think they are mainly worried about "how they feel as employees" verses the best possible way to approach the specific animal. I think they have lost sight of what an animal hospital is supposed to be!! Maybe they should consider becoming a practice of providing pet therapist.

I had no idea what prices were back then for MA, but I knew I didn't want to have to bother with packing my cats up and taking them to the vet. Since then he's been my primary vet. He and Tina (she handles the office) will give advice over the phone and only come out if it's warranted. Dr. Baran doesn't do anything that's not necessary, unlike other places who have overhead. He's very good with my cats and clearly has an affection for animals. But he's in, he's out. No waiting! He does charge a fee to come to your house, but I think it's worth it considering you don't have to pack animals up (or your kids if you have them) and cart them there *and* he keeps the costs down to what's necessary. Add to that the free advice when/if you need it and it's a bonus. I strongly recommend using him. Good luck!

Sadly, we recently suffered a death in our family and inherited two cats--Rocky, who is 10, and Wall-E, who is 8 months old. Since Wall-E needed to be neutered, a dear friend recommended Kindness Animal Hospital, and we are so thankful they did. From the very first phone call, when we spoke with Brenda and explained our story, we were met with nothing but kindness, compassion, and understanding. It meant more to us than she probably realizes. Dr. Rosenblatt examined both of our newly adopted fur babies and helped us get Wall-E scheduled for his neutering at just the right time. Sam and everyone else on the staff made us feel so welcome. You can tell they genuinely love animals, and that love carries over to the people who walk through their doors, too. The care our boys received was exceptional, and we were also so appreciative that it was affordable. During a difficult time for our family, everyone at Kindness made something that could have been stressful feel easy. We can't recommend Kindness Animal Hospital enough. They truly live up to their name. When you walk through their doors, you're treated with kindness, compassion, and respect, and your pets are treated like family. Thank you, Dr. Rosenblatt, Brenda, Sam, and the entire Kindness family for taking such wonderful care of Rocky, Wall-E, and us. We are so grateful. With love, Rudy, Eva, Rocky & Wall-E

Having a long history with my last few dogs and Dr. Meade - who was amazing - I am highly…read moredisappointed with the care my dog has received since covid hit and Dr. Meade retired. Having an anxious animal makes it hard each visit - with having to give him calming meds that were prescribed by this new staff(which don't help) to getting him out of the car and into the building - and he won't go with one of them - has to be me. He has not seen a vet for a full physical in 4 years - has had his allergy shots and other shots in the car several times and even after the staff had covid last year (I know they had it as I had to change my appt because they were closed and they still were following the come out and take the animal policy they seem to have adopted). Over the past 4 years, We did have a great visit with a "fill in" vet last year when he needed an allergy shot, she went over, above, and beyond to check him out and get some overall other areas of his health covered, which was the only reason I didn't switch vets when his physical came up this years. This visit, I got an email to schedule his shots, physical, etc. I responded he needed his allergy shot also and they set the appointment. Gave him his medication to relax him the night before and day of the appt, pulled up to the parking lot - no more COVID note on the door (just lunch closed hours), I was relieved - took 10 minutes to get my dog out of the car, he is over 100 lbs and afraid of being there, get to the door and it is locked - again. Called them - they are still doing the tech to the car and then bring the pet in. Get the dog back in the car and he is now in full blown panic mode....and I am totally frustrated. Once again, this does not work for my dog, hasn't for the last 3-4 years. I expressed my concerns for the 100th time when the tech came out, asked if we could just do his rabies shot and allergy shot then as a visit isn't going to be possible with these conditions still being their mode of operation - not with his anxiety. She comes back out and says he is only scheduled for an allergy shot and can't see a vet today anyway as she is busy with a highly contagious animal. Wait, what? You sent me an email with all his things he needs and you only scheduled the allergy shot I added to the list???? And he takes medication to go to the vet - so you want me to do this again in a week or two??? She gives me some excuse about them having to clean everything because of the contagious cough and they would then let me bring him into a room to get his allergy shot. They did not care one bit that a long term client, basically told them to send the records over to a new vet that day. Just "we understand". Glad you understand....lol. They also proceeded to tell me how wonderful all of their 4 vets were (great, haven't seen one of them in 4 years....) Made an appt with Cambridge Street Animal Hospital while in the parking lot. The woman on the phone was great and very helpful, got him in for this week so he can get his rabies shot before it expires and be seen - even have an anxious pet entrance area. Happy already. It is sad to end a relationship with any business, but it was necessary.
