We had REALLY sketchy neighbors below us who we think had a sketchy occupation because their "friends" would knock on our door at 2am at least twice each week. They would BLAST music under us at all odd hours of the night and it would vibrate our apartment violently. To Sandalwood's credit they did handle my noise complaint promptly. The main reason for my 1 star review though is the fact that we went on vacation for 10 days and when we returned they TOWED OUR CARS out of the spot we PAID for and two cars were in our spots. We had to pay $1,000 to get our cars out of car prison and Sandalwood only reimbursed us HALF of the money we paid, and only gave us a rent credit for the other half. Many of our neighbors we talked to also got towed because the office staff were incredibly unorganized. Shelise (an awful employee who worked in the office) tried to offer us a new spot instead of giving our old ones back and THERE WAS SOMEONE PARKED IN THE NEW SPOT THEY WERE OFFERING ME! Basically, this complex is unorganized. It is under new management so I hope they fixed all the problems we had when we were here. LASTLY, our air conditioning and hot water went out MANY times when I lived there and it would take over 5 or 7 days sometimes for them to fix it, only for it to go out again the following day. There is a reason it's cheap to live here. But at what cost.

They claim to have fixed it, but they didn't repair it enough to keep the mice out. My advice to anyone looking to rent. Go anywhere else but here. Rent is too high for what they provide. Not to mention the excessive noise from other Tenants. All of the animal feces all over the grounds, and no parking anywhere. This place is a glorified dump. I regret living here when I had many other options. Please do your research before you move in, and read every word of the fine print on your lease. Staff is two faced and talk about you to other residents, encourage only certain residents to report on everyone, which the main tenants they reach out to for information on everyone is the most aggressive neighbor and has multiple complaints about them and their dogs that got 3+ bites on their record in just the 15 months i lived there. Finally they like to do illegal lockouts and change locks without notice or court orders in the middle of move out cleaning and have the nerve to charge cleaning fees as if they didnt bar people from doing that properly. Insanity and completely unacceptable.

The worst part is after you move out. Months later, they suddenly contact you saying you owe money, with no clear explanation. Then they threaten to send your account to collections if you don't pay. It feels dishonest and stressful. Overall, this place is unorganized, unprofessional, and does not care about its residents at all. I would strongly advise anyone to stay away from this apartment.
