We got the donut holes for the kids ($1.79 for a dozen is a super deal too!) and I got a maple bar for myself. My husband got a cinnamon sugar twist donut and he said it was good too. The lady serving the donuts was really nice and we were in and out of there quickly. It seemed like a good place to drop in and pick up donuts after grabbing our beverages a little down the street. Delicious!

One of the best ice cream and dessert spots I've visited in the country!…read more The ice cream is made from scratch using locally sourced ingredients. The variety of flavors is impressive. We tried the caramel brownie, New York cheesecake, butter pecan, banana pudding, and butter finger. All were delicious and creamy! We also noticed that the flavors were incredible without being too sweet. If there's a perfect ice cream on earth - this is it! They also have amazing brownies and cookies. We took home some cupcakes to eat later, too! The staff were very friendly and kept the line moving smoothly. We absolutely loved the decor of this shop. It is creative and quirky. They have used bicycles, pinball machines, tractors, etc to create tables! It's so artistic and fun! We spent so much time walking around looking at all the detail that they included in the furniture and artwork. What a gem of a place!

The staff was friendly, the establishment was clean and service was fast. The beverages were tasty. The food was served fresh, however, several items were still frozen in the middle. As a new establishment, consider a food thermometer for those harder to tell items. The only other thing was that the tater rounds-while tasty-pretty sure they had meat in them. I ordered my croissant without the meat, one with turkey (unfortunately they forgot it). Hearing the order, as an employee, I would have mentioned that the rounds had meat. Seems like a promising place that will continue to get better!

So I had some expectations built up by the time it opened, and it cleared them. Mentone needed this. The atmosphere is great and the staff are genuinely welcoming, not just to regulars but to everybody who comes through the door, which matters in a small town where places can get cliquey fast. They've got a solid food selection and a big lineup of specialty lattes and coffees. I'm boring about it and usually grab a medium black coffee on my way home, but there's a lot more on the board if you want it. The part that surprised me is they also offer Pilates and yoga, so it's not just a coffee shop with a name. It's an actual thing you can go do. Whether you live here or you're just passing through Mentone, it's worth stopping in.
