She showed me charts and graphs so I would better understand my hearing loss. She then suggested what type of hearing aids I would need, and let me try a pair of samples. In another appointment, I brought my wife, and Dr. Janelle reviewed everything with her. I gave the go-ahead, and the hearing aids come in a week later. Dr. Lisa Chandonais fitted me with the new hearing aids via computer and Bluetooth technology. I saw Dr. Janelle again to make adjustments, and I'm now hearing things I haven't heard in years. These two ladies are very professional, yet very down to earth and easy to deal with. Dr. Janelle had to check something out for me with the hearing aid manufacturer, and promised to email me the results. I received her very thorough email within hours. You want to shop around? By all means, go ahead. But make sure you visit these folks. Maybe you'll get the cheapest price on hearing aids from them, maybe you won't. But if you do some research, you'll find that, as usual, you get what you pay for. So if their hearing aids are more expensive than someone else's, there's a good reason. In any event, I guarantee you that you won't get better service anywhere else.

Hearing Unlimited And Todd Are Simply The Best, Better Than All The Rest!…read more As my mother says, Todd brings happiness to our home!!! I cannot say enough great things about hearing unlimited and their hearing professional Todd. My father had a stroke about 3 years ago and is completely deaf in one ear and very close to completely deaf in the other ear. Todd explained there's only so much hearing aids can do for my father since his hearing is very profound but they would do their best to help him. Well, the hearing aid they provided my father has made a HUGE difference in his life! He can now hear me, he can enjoy his TV programs and he has talked more in the month he's had his hearing aid than he has in the past 3 years. And Todd is AMAZING. My father, although a nice man, has his moments and isn't the easiest person to get along with if something is going to cost money as he's set in his ways. Before I got involved, my mother scheduled 2 appointments with Todd over the span of 2 years and each time dad told Todd he wasn't interested. Todd graciously said he understood and to let his company know if my father ever changes his mind. Then I got involved. I told my dad he didn't have a choice and my dad reluctantly agreed to see Todd for a 3rd time. Well, Todd is now our best friend!!!!! He is so patient with my father, is incredibly kind, empathetic, honest and has great integrity. He has literally changed the quality of my father's life. My dad now wants to see family members he hasn't seen in years, wants to go to the casino and basically wants to be more active because he can now hear! He wants to engage in life instead of sit on the sidelines. Prior to getting this hearing aid, all my dad wanted to do was sleep and watch tv which he couldn't hear. I can't say enough great things about Todd and this company. They bend over backwards to help you: from helping you find a hearing MD, to coming to your house to meet with you, to helping you decide which hearing aid is best for you which may not be the most expensive (see...he is HONEST and has integrity) and to helping you get financing if needed. Todd, if I may quote Tina Turner, is simply the best, better than all the rest!!!!! If you or a loved one needs a hearing aid, go with Todd and Hearing Unlimited because they will bring happiness (and a bit of sunshine) to your home!

It would be nice if they ever called back! Couldn't book my first appointment. I do not recommend.read more

I do not recommend Swift Audiology - South Hills to anyone interested in receiving proper health…read morecare for hearing loss. My experience with Swift Audiology was a lesson in repeated disappointments with service and concern as their client/patient. As a new customer I expressed my desire for better service than my previous hearing specialist over the last six years. I was assured that service and customer satisfaction was a top priority. My insurance allowed me to purchase only one brand of hearing aids that I paid $3,500 out of pocket after insurance coverage. Over the past two years I was informed that my insurance limited availability to an audiologist to Mondays appointments only, even though they are open Monday through Friday. After the one year warranty period expired I was charged $65 for each office visit for cleaning the hearing aids and those were performed by the receptionist and not by one of the audiologists. I felt like I was treated as a second class citizen because I did not generate enough revenue to earn any more than the bare minimum of quality care. I stopped in six weeks ago to have the dome inserts replace only to be informed that Swift Audiology would no longer provide service to the hearing aids they happily accepted my money for. I asked if I might have expected some notice in the mail to inform me of this change. Their answer was that I should search online to find who my insurance recommended as a new service provider. I was charged another $65.00 and shown the door. The message is loud and clear. The profit margin on the brand of hearing aids that Swift Audiology sold me was not enough to justify adequate service and care to me, as a customer. I will continue my search for the care I need to be an active participant in the hearing world.

First I…read morehave to say that I did not buy hearing aids from them: therefore I understand charging me a higher fee which for an adjustment to the hearing aids. My issue is the $700 per hearing aide was a little excess. The only reason I went to them was the manufacturer suggested them for the adjustments I needed. $1,400 dollars for roughly two hours of works; mostly on the computer was above the average for the Pittsburgh area. It should have been $400 to $600 per aide. My last visit I was having issues and all that was done was additional information that I should have got on my last visit. The charge $45. If you buy from them you get unlimited follow ups, but you well pay full retail price for the aids. There are other audiologists that are just has good as them but not as greedy. One last thing; the price included one 4 month follow up if they needed adjusted but there would be a $45 charge for an office visit.
