I joined in 2003 when I met him. Our account number is so old it only has six digits. My husband came in on Tuesday because our teenager accidentally used his dad's card. He only was asking to put a hold on the card for two days until pay day. He was denied. Instead he was chastised for being negative (yes! Because you've charged us over $200 in overdraft fees for transactions as small as $2.75) and told he couldn't be helped. Then yesterday I wheeled my chair into Green State and told them about my struggle the past two years. Told them what Veridian knew. That I got a total hip replacement not even two years ago and I've been to the ER six times this year because it has dislocated. Last year I beat colon cancer, now I have breast cancer. So, besides the horrible economy, that's so bad companies are offering free meals for kids, my medical bills are out of control. Green State immediately gave me paperwork for a medical excuse to delay my mortgage, car payment, and credit card. They also noticed my account was negative $100 and deactivated that card and gave me another. I've only been with them because they handled my $300k mortgage the past eight years because Veridian didn't want to do our mortgage. Green State treats us like we're people instead of numbers. We'll be closing our account today like SO MANY other people we know who are tired of how your credit union does "business." I hope you and John Deere you were named after go under like all the rest of us are. Too bad that will happen before any of your employees are trained to be kind to customers. I won't even refer to the stupid people who use your service as "members." We're not members of anything. It's a bank. We're all just numbers and Veridian lacks any human element.
