have continued using Community Chevrolet primarily because they work with Progressive and are one of the few convenient Progressive-partnered shops in my area. Unfortunately, I've had multiple issues with them, and my most recent experience has been extremely frustrating. After hitting a deer, my 2019 Jeep Renegade needed repairs, including the windshield washer system because it was leaking. The vehicle was later back at Community Chevrolet after another accident, and I specifically brought up the washer leak again. I was assured that it would be taken care of. Months later, I discovered the washer system was still leaking. I found this out after taking my vehicle somewhere else for an oil change, where I was told that the washer reservoir was still leaking despite the previous repairs. I contacted Community Chevrolet and explained that I work seven days a week and cannot simply take off during their Tuesday-Friday, 8 AM-4 PM service hours. After going back and forth, they agreed to let me come in on a Saturday so they could "look at" the vehicle. I drove all the way there on a Saturday, only for the manager to have me pull onto the pad and activate the windshield washers. The reservoir was completely empty because of the leak, so there wasn't even fluid in the system to test. They didn't actually inspect the vehicle further. I was simply told that they needed to order the washer reservoir and that I could leave. I was then told someone would contact me the week of August 17th once the part was available. Nobody contacted me. I had to call them myself on August 20th to find out what was going on. I was then told the manager wasn't back until Monday. On top of that, when discussing how I would get to work if my vehicle had to remain at the shop, I was originally told a loaner vehicle would be available. I was later told it would actually be a rental, which was not what had previously been discussed. My inspection is coming up on August 26th, and I'm still trying to get an issue resolved that I was already assured had been taken care of. I understand that repairs can take time and that parts sometimes have to be ordered. My frustration is with the lack of follow-through, communication, and repeated inconvenience. I've had to repeatedly contact the shop myself, rearrange my schedule, and make a Saturday trip just to leave without the vehicle actually being repaired. I really hope they ultimately resolve the problem correctly, but based on my experiences so far, I would have a very difficult time recommending this shop. read more

we found a 2026 Silverado that we wanted. my husband asked if they would take a camper along With our Silverado as a trade. We sent video along with picture, they offered 15,000.00 for the camper and 6,000.00 for the truck. We knew the truck was worth more but since they were taking the camper too we said ok. We waited to hear from the agent. On the second day a guy named Cody took over. Said our saleslady was out sick. Waited another day or tw, called them again. They wanted us to bring the camper up. The general manager looked over the camper and started making crap up. I'd have to get new furniture and tires etc. I wanted to see what was wrong with the furniture. One of the lazy boys had a small amount of wear at the headrest. I couldn't see anything else wrong. Anywhere. We had always covered the furniture when in use. Only us two 70 year olds used this camper. It is in EXCELLENT SHAPE AND BLUEBOOKED AT20 000.00. He said I have to crunch the numbers we will let you know tomorrow. It's now been a week of them putting us off. The next day, they said they dropped the 15,000.00 to 8,000.00 but would give us 7k for the truck. They knew we wouldn't take that offer..we decided to just use the truck on trade. We went back in and our truck was GONE! They still had our deposit on it! They said it was a coincidence that someone walked in and bought it that day! They took advantage of 2 senior citizens! They thought we didn't want it because we didn't like the 2nd offer. This counts as probably the most egregious display of greed, EVER!! Well, I guess I really did not want to publish this, but circumstances required I do. My granddaughter had a blowout on her car, a vacuum line and a hose! I was told, we got this!! Than, "nope, gotta order? Plus more money for parts. Suffice to say, I was told we could not get parts!!! UNLESS!!! We overnighted them, but I would have to pay the freight if they did not overnight .?(!!!??$). Really?? Still no parts, no car, what do I do next? Ok, order them. Bear in mind, original quote was $279:00, I had no problem, but, two days later, I owe OVER $700:00!! Well, we had to overnight the parts, and, you needed a new battery! Ok,let's say $125:0 for the battery, and $50:0 for overnighting the parts.. $475:0 at most??? $748:00..... where on Gods green earth did that come from, other than Liz, the Service person, wanted to win the SCREWING THE MOST OUT OF A CUSTOMER AWARD FOR SEPTEMBER!!!!???? Just took my $34,000 2019 equinox for service I was told transmission fluid had to be changed at 42,000 miles it's a $200 fee. I questioned Liz but she said it must be done. When I got my car home my owners manual tells me 72,000 miles. was I lied to by the service department? My bill said I requested windshield wiper blades. Before the mechanics looked at my equinox Liz told me I needed windshield wiper blades or my car would not pass inspection. Did I really need windshield wiper blades? I paid for an oil change and a tire rotation my tires were not rotated and I can prove it because my front tires were marked and they are still in the same location as when I dropped it off. Was I lied to buy the service department? I hope they post this review I feel like I was lied to more than once and I trusted Liz. I would never take my car there to be detailed again my seats were full of crumbs and every plastic surface was covered with sticky oily crap. read more

I don't even know where to begin. Firstly, the sales department, and the service professionals are bar none, some of the greatest people in the industry, however, after my last experience, I will never bring another car to be serviced by this dealership again. I worked for this dealership for a short three months. My job title was "porter" and on the surface, my job was to bring customers to and from their place of business and residence and the dealership. behind the scenes, though, my job was to bring cars around, collect old parts, clean up oil spills, collect parts from the parts office, change tires, take out trash, sweep and mop the shop floor, test batteries, move equipment to and fro as mechanics needed them, run old parts to Meadville metal, perform light duty maintenance tasks, empty oil drain barrels, test drive vehicles that have just been serviced, help out anyone and everyone that needed anything, all at the same time. I was busy! Ever not questioning the mechanics or management. I came to work every day with a forced smile on my face and an ever bright mood because that was my job in an ever expanding work load and impossible tasks that mounted and mounted. Finally I'd had enough and left. in the midst of home problems and everything else, I jumped ship and moved to Ohio. Sunday December 5, 2021 I dropped my car off for service that needed to be done. Monday phone rings. what needs done? I told them. Wednesday morning rolls around. "we can't work on your car because you owe us money for a uniform not turned in." Okay, I'll take my car somewhere else "you can't pick up your car until that's taken care of" Thursday am: call the consultants. they don't want to be in the middle of it. call the manager. I'll call you back. Thursday noon: no word Thursday pm: I call a Meadville towing company to pick up my car phone rings. finally gives me a price and tow truck driver takes my car to Honda cars to get fixed. read more

I would not go there, tire fell off truck after oil change and rotation. Had to tow it. then they said to fix it, we needed spacers. Called Tire Rack to get parts, they said no, doesn't use spacers hub fits right on besides we had same truck since 2005 never problem before?? would not assist in any cost. charged us 700.00+ to put tire back on and align. told us it wasn't safe to drive. took it to another garage SAME day and had them look it over. said it is safe to drive. didn't need the spacers...... 700.00 is how much it cost for entire inspection. and during any work, they call you and ask- do you want this??? or that???? I just took it in for xxx .... that is what i want. don't recommend. don't really want to work with you. not willing - just interested in seems in $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ plenty of good small mechanics out there. we just went for oil change as big 25 value not good choice. read more

On Tuesday November 22 2016 I did a day of work at this store and had the detail department perform a quick mini detail on my 2014 pickup truck. The job was excellent. We've had a TERRIBLE experience with Community Chevrolet over the past year. A month after purchasing a GMC Acadia from them chunks of clear coat and paint started coming off. (Big chunks!) This was a car they said was definitely "clean" as the Carfax was clear and they had gone over it at the dealership as well. The car is a few years old but looked perfect when we drove it off. We now know it's absolutely been wrecked due to things that were discovered after the purchase. The entire car is peeling. I went back right in the beginning to show them and our salesman saw the spots and said "Come back if it gets worse and we will make it right." I believed him....We took it back a total of 4 times as it progressively got worse and kept being told something would be done and to give them a "few days". After 8 months they said they were (FINALLY!!) ready to "help us out". They called us in to tell us they found another car for us. (We would have settled for a paint job!!) Only problem was that ours had depreciated so much in 8 months according to Community that we would be $8000 upside down in a new loan! Obviously we didn't take the "deal". THEN this past Friday we get a call from the General Manager saying that this is this first he heard anything about us and our issue (which I don't really believe) and since it's been a year they won't do anything. So now our only choices are to drive a peeling car or pay $5000+ to have it completely repainted. Mind you we owe $24,000 on it. Also, I'm not sure anyone will ever want to buy it with all the repairs that have obviously been done but not documented. I guess it was my fault for believing my salesman when he said they would make it right back in the beginning but he seemed sincere and I like to think people are generally honest. HUGE lesson learned! I just wish he hadn't told us they would make it right in the beginning instead of dragging it out for a year. This has caused a lot of stress for us. P.S. The 2nd vehicle they offered us "to help us out" is sitting on their lot for $1000 LESS than they offered it to us for. read more

Well, the best we can say is that we got a "meh" deal on a used truck that we "hope" is as nice as it was presented to be. Basically, we broke the cardinal law of dealing on vehicles - don't let your excitement about potentially buying push you into signing too quickly. In the end , we paid the dealer asking price and got below-book price for our trade. When asked if they would throw in a set of snow tires, it took 2 days of hemming and hawing and the "best they could do" was give a "discounted price" on the tires ...which still makes them money on the sale of the snow tires. They couldn't even go so far as to offer the snows at their cost, as a pass-through. I know ... We should have never made the deal and let them "see what they could do" about the snow tires. This guy was your stereotypical "car salesman." So this game was "1" for the salesman and "0" for us. But we can do A LOT of talking to a lot of people - and we will! read more

Took my car there to get inspected for April in February, I was told that it would cost $1100 for work so it would pass. Took my car to a different mechanic and it passed without issues. The mechanic I took my car to mentioned the parts that Community wanted to fix and said it would cost $630 for them to replace it.
