I have a cousin who is considered incapacitated, her mother passed and I was told to get guardianship. Got it and went back just to be told no, go get social security payee status. Did that too. Took both paper up there just for bankfirst to tell me NO. That my payee status was just a request and I needed different papers. Even on the social security website, I am listed as the payee but that and a court ordered guardianship is not enough for them to give me access to the acct. At this point their multi million or billion dollar establishment can have the 500 or so dollars in the acct because I won't be back. I felt like I was a show and had to jump thru 12 hoops. And driving back and forth from Joplin to okemah isn't cheap. Just close out the acct period and never having to deal w me again should've been easy for them. I'm not saying the lady we talked to was rude or anything, I just hate getting the run around. Plus the acct has possible fraud charges and they are prolonging the time line that I have to file a report on. But they won't even let me see even the last 10 transactions. So yeah, keep the money or put it as inactive, hell get the interest off the money if yall are so hard up for access in that Lil ol town. Worst financial institution I've ever used. The Truck Shop of Okemah forced this bank on me for my…read moreauto loan instead of letting me use my credit union or personal bank, which should have been a red flag. They dinged my credit within 7 days of signing, instead of the 30 days you're allotted. Then, they couldn't get my title back within the 30 days due to them not filing with the state on time. They canceled the account and dinged my credit once more since their policy isn't in their clients' best interest. They closed the account and opened a new one. It took my 740 credit score to a 520 in less than 30 days, so I was ineligible to go to another bank or financial institution. When I called to reverse the matter, they said there was nothing they could do, all the while giving me the runaround saying my loan officer wasn't there. I called every day for three weeks. Once it was set in stone, she suddenly came back to work at the Okemah facility. Currently, I called to make my truck payment yesterday, and now they won't take a credit card payment for my truck loan after I've made 11 successful payments to rebuild my credit that they ruined. I've not been late or missed a payment in 18 months. Nor do I pay interest on my credit card. I've paid it that way to build my credit back that this institution ruined.They said their policy has changed since January 1, 2024, and they are unable to take a credit card payment. They want me to open a checking account to pay my loan. I personally wouldn't trust this institution with a hand full of wooden nickels much less your hard earned money or any investment.So if you are in need of a financial institution, never use BancFirst. Hopefully, you'll find someone who looks out for you and treats you right as a client, but these people will not.
