I hate cliches, and one of the most oft-quoted is that "you get what you pay for." Considering that they were showing up for most of our searches in Google. We contacted Wall to Wall for a branding project for a Hawaii based business. We were contacted on phone by one of their heads, Bernard who talked a long tale of his team's design powers and their Hawaii connection. So far so good right? Well, the call followed up with a "demo" where for one hour we patiently watched his success stories in branding. At the end, we were ready to go and asked him for a proposal. This is where things get ugly with them. All the wonderful design examples mean nothing if an agency behaves like they could care less about you or your business. Here is our outline of shitty experience with them after the demo: Demo day- We asked for a proposal. 3 Days Pass- No reply. We pick up the phone and leave a message. 3 Days Pass- No call back. Receive a one line email informing us the he is busy and will get the proposal ready by the end of the week. We were nice and decided to give him one more chance. Then after a few more days passed without any updates and another blown deadline for getting the proposal over to us, we moved on. It's not like we asked him for a free bone marrow donation! Their brand consultation starts at $3500 and then basic design, product design etc. runs to $3000-$7000. Bernard could not be bothered to send a proposal for around 10K, which we would have accepted! This amount of hubris and rudeness is a sign of trouble in their design paradise. So, if you are looking for someone who wants to take your business and actually work with you, do not waste time with this overfed agency. Imaging how bad things would have ended for us if we had actually paid them then had the task for chasing them for delivering the work! Finding local talent is hard but not impossible. We did it! Avoid them and give hungry firms a chance instead of wasting your time with wall to wall arrogance.
