My parents bank at Arkansas Valley State Bank and suggested it to my wife and I, twenty some odd years ago. They are a big reason why my wife and I have been able to maintain a budget. This bank is like family. They have been there with us through Many difficult times. From getting power of attorney over my parents after my father's stroke in 2016 to helping us with loans on vehicles and just being there when we needed someone to talk to about finances. We are so blessed to be members of AVB. I cannot say enough good things about this bank. They are by far the best bank in Oklahoma..

Man, what a good choice. The building is convieniently located at the not so busy intersection of 71st and 145th streets, so I avoid the craziness of 71st and 169, and the construction on Elm St. The parking lot is a tad on the small side, but there's never a bunch of people there. The staff are always courteous and kind, and don't push stuff on you every single time you make a transaction. I've been to banks where they'd offer me credit cards, deposit boxes, you name it, every time, even though they should have know from asking so much I'd say no. They have recently built a mini-shopping area next door which seems to cramp their space a little, but I highly recommend this bank if you're looking for a pleasant banking experience. We are all busy, it seems harder to get anything done anymore with all the needless and redundant policy's and paper. It has clearly trained their staff to find a way NOT to be of any real service. Let me explain today's adventure, I am selling a vehicle to a business owner who banks at Arvest, we meet at the bank to notarize the title and get the money. (Which I also did at the same bank less then a month ago with the same business owner.) According to the Manager on Duty today "we only can notarize the signature of our customer" and not the seller, unless "you have an Arvest account" Now we dont ask alot from banks, they get to set the rates they charge us, and then they nickle and dime us to death, all we ask is competence and a appearance of customer service. But to resort to EXTORTION to get new accounts is low even for them, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ***** 5 Star Winner Train your people AND change this stupid policy. A Notary is a "Public Office" appointed by the government to SERVE the public, not just Arvest Account holders. My Advice: CLOSE ALL ACCOUNTS AND MOVE TO A SERVICE ORIENTED BANK.
