When families face decisions about divorce, custody, visitation, elder care, inheritance, or other life changes, court isn't always the best answer, but finding common ground can feel impossible. At Common Ground Mediation, I provide confidential mediation for families and businesses in Dallas-Fort Worth and throughout Texas. As a TMCA Credentialed Mediator, I help with divorce, child custody, visitation, child support, parenting plans, elder care, estate and inheritance, family, and civil disputes. My practical approach helps clients navigate conversations with dignity, respect, and solutions while eliminating courtroom conflict. I guide clients from consultation through mediation and written agreement, with Nationwide Zoom sessions.
History
Established in 2009.
Before founding Common Ground Mediation, I spent decades in roles that required bringing people to the table and finding workable solutions under pressure — negotiating contracts between Texas cities and private businesses, brokering international agreements across cultural boundaries, and resolving high-stakes disputes in the entertainment industry. I have served as a foster parent, an EMT, a mental health peer counselor, crisis line advisor, and a board liaison for the United Way and the Department of Family and Protective Services. I have sat with people in crisis.
I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed and unsure of what comes next - not just as a mediator, but as someone who has spent countless years navigating conflict in the real world, long before mediation became my profession.
Meet the Business Owner: Lynnette N.
I bring negotiation experience, the government work, the community service, and the lived understanding of hard situations — to every mediation I facilitate.
My approach is not about winning or losing. It is about creating space for honest conversation, helping each person feel genuinely heard, and building solutions that people can actually live with. If your family is facing a difficult decision, I would be honored to help you find a way through it.
