In the month of April of 2026. I went to one of our local dealerships, Baker Garage in Baker City. Oregon. I couldn't afford to purchase a brand new vehicle so I could only purchase what I could afford. It was getting dark. It was toward the end of the day. There was a note across the steering wheel that said unsafe car when I questioned the salesman, he says, oh, when they got this car and they forgot to take that out, they we always have those on vehicles that we purchase. He said it's all good. Don't worry, go ahead and take it for a test drive. I did, and it appeared to drive like it should have when I got back. He was pressuring me to hurry and make the purchase. Because they were going to close. And as I said, I needed a vehicle to get back-and-forth to doctor's appointments and treatment, which I had a schedule appointment the next day. So I went ahead and purchased it gave them the money I had signed up documents and I left The very next day when I got in the vehicle to go to the doctor's appointment. I had discovered a massive amount of dog care all over the vehicle. I mean, it was covered everywhere Follo.\nWed by an odor of something. I went back into the dealership and spoke with the salesman who sold the vehicle to me and asked him if he would talk to the manager or the owner, who also has dealerships, not only in Baker City Oregon, but Has the dealership of the Chevrolet in Walla Walla, Washington and the one in ellingsburg, Washington. I\n Asked him if he would ask the owner. The manager, whoever was in charge, if they would be willing to go at least half with me on having it detailed, I was told at that time, they do their own detailing, and I asked why they didn't have that car detailed and he didn't have an answer, he said that they could give me. A deal on their detailing, and he didn't know how much that would be, but it would be cheaper than if I went anywhere else and he would get back to me. 7 hours later At the very end of the day before closing, the salesman gets back to me to tell me that they are sorry they can't do anything for me. I asked, are you kidding me? You guys can't even meet me in the middle and go half with me. Because you didn't detail the car or do anything to it. He said, no I tried everything. And they just said there was no way they could do it, because I didn't finance the vehicle through them but I paid cash. I\n Called to talk to the owner Justin, I called the dealership in Walla Walla and the one in ellingsburg, to ask if he would kindly go half with me, he never returned my phone call. Please keep in mind that these are dealerships, they certainly could afford to have detailed the car or at least went half with me, I'm on a fixed income and having to pay a detailing shop here in Baker City, which tied the car up for over 2 weeks, because I had to make the appointment because there were other people before me and I certainly didn't want to drive it to my appointments in that condition. So I had inconvenienced people to please give me rides until the car was ready and clean. I haven't drove the car, it was parked all this time finally took it out for the first time here May 4th. And there's a loud noise underneath the engine. Truthfully, I feel that they took advantage of an older woman with health issues, they didn't care. They just wanted my money. My husband passed away. I had nobody to check the vehicle out. And I didn't have any more money to buy a newer car, so I'm posting this to reach out to all of the people who may read this, and before deciding to purchase from the baker garage in Baker City, Oregon or the Chevrolet dealership in Walla Walla Washington, Or Ellingsburg Washington.. I've worked all of my life until I got the cancer and now I'm weak from the waist down and can't do the things I used to do in life and I'm limited. You are a family member of yours.Even your friend doesn't deserve the treatment that I've got.Yes i'm stuck with I headache And I wish I never went to them and bought this vehicle. I crunched a bunch of my undercarriage on some huge rocks out in the woods. There was a beefy metal frame bracket that got bent into my drive shaft. It caused the drive shaft to collide w my undercarriage. My poor Acura came in crippled. They got me in within 15 minutes & bent the metal off my driveshaft in the quickness. The technician basically said happy travels, drive safe. Fixed it for me for free & would not even take my tip. This kind of hospitality & integrity is extremely respectable. After contacting the office and waiting a couple of hours, they did refund half of the labor to my card. So it only cost me $95 to install a tire. What a deal. I posted a picture of the bill on here The next day a tire shop installed that unsuitable tire for $35 (They could have charged more because they discovered a leak after mounting it, patched it and mounted it again) The service technician was a decent guy but I think he's working for an opportunistic company. (I was that guy once)

I took it in and gave the key to the only guy there (it was 7:30 AM) and went on my way. The only correspondence on my vehicle for the rest of the day came through my husband, who never called them or set up the appointment. Of the two of us, I am the one to talk to about the car. It really isn't that big of a deal, but my husband isn't a car guy and I would have liked to have been the one they called.

We had a situation with an extended tire warranty: One tire sprung a leak while our daughters were…read moreout on the coast with family, and since there were no Commercial Tire Centers out there a local shop got us some used tires to get them over the pass to get home, but we found those weren't quite synced and the shuddering was very bad. I won't go into this part too deeply, but we had some rather infuriating experiences with a different Commerical Tire store and the Reagional Manager, whose office is in this La Grande Sstore came to our rescue. Since our car has AWD and all of the tires need to have the same tire depth, all 4 tires had to be replaced. He made it right again, got us back into new tires, honored the warranty and even rechecked the alignment completed an oil change free of charge for our troubles. I can't say enough for his professionalism and integrity he really pulled us out of a tight spot and that says volumes about this La Grande store and how it is managed. I will always come back right here in La Grande because he put the trust back in our customer relationship!
