I have been pretty desperate for authentic Chinese food and especially DimSum in Santiago, since…read moremost of the Chinese restaurants here serve quite different dishes. I've been tired of eating dry dumplings and chaufa (fried rice) that never taste even close to how they're supposed to be...
Food Lays instantly became my favorite Chinese restaurant in entire Santiago for their quite authentic selection of dishes. This place is way better than Madam Tusan (peruvian Chinese chain) or Palacio Danubio Azul, that are much more expensive than this restaurant.
They serve DimSum menu, including steamed shrimp dumplings, sticky rice in lotus leave, steamed buns with BBQ pork, congee (rice soup) with century egg, Shaolong Bao (steamed pork dumplings with soup), and etc... These dishes are quite hard to find in other Chinese restaurants in Chile. And they're mostly less than 3000CLP for each, really cheap!! I'm so glad I found this place now. *Such a shame I didn't take pictures this time... sorry!!
I went there on Sunday lunch, at 12 o'clock. It's the opening time, so the restaurant was empty except out table. But I assume this place is more popular on Saturday or in evening~night hours of weekdays.
I will definitely repeat coming back to this place for having DimSum!!
