Stay away. Fraudulent charges. Management applied a $250 "housekeeping fee" to my stay with my family. I only found this charge reviewing my credit card bill two weeks later--they never contacted me. They claimed the "excessive cleaning, damage to the phone that was "ripped from the wall" and loss of revenue" was not even covered by the mayhem we left. While the room was not left in spotless condition, it was completely superficial clutter (see pictures they supplied me) that would have taken less than one minute to address. That's called running a hotel. To date, the GM has not returned my c The situation: There was dry, unused toilet paper and unused tissues pulled out on the bathroom floor by my 1.5 YO daughter. The other white towels are supposed to be left on the floor. We accidentally left dry crumbs from a muffin on the floor. We disconnected the telephone so our daughters would not make calls. All that is required to address is to plug the landline connection back in. I also left a plate of food in the fridge. Is that abnormal? Update: after waiting on hold for 30 minutes, I was finally able to speak to the GM (per other reviews, I had no faith a call back would occur). They refunded $200 of the $250. We had a slight back and forth about fictitious claims based on the photos (eg claiming there was also a juice stain (we drank no juice). They claimed I broke the phone, saying the jack was loose (I did not, I just unplugged it-might have been due to 5+ years of hard use??). But I was willing to take $200 and forfeit $50 than be defrauded the full $250. I should have pressed them given they have a close up of a harmless muffin, but no close-up pictures of the functional broken phone. Oh well. Never again. Avoid this place. read more

Website said they have a pool, which they do not since the building is under renovation. The staff are very friendly. The building is very nice since it is currently in the process of a remodel. The TV in the room however is ancient. Check in took a long time as we stood at the desk for at least 10 mins and nobody showed up, and no bell? Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast. Basically, they canceled my reservations for a corporate event in which they closed the hotel down. On day of arrival I called to inquire about check in time when I then and only then found out about the cancellation. It was taken to the Escalation team which tried to find us a hotel in the area but there were none due to the activities that led us to the Selinsgrove area. I finally gave up and had to make the long drive home the same day. It ruined our time at the University Parents Weekend. read more

This hotel was a comfort indeed after a long trip and a previous terrible experience with a different nearby hotel. We booked on hotel website about 30 minutes prior to arrival. The staff were pleasant. Hotels get their share of wear and tear, which is why I was pleased that our room and bathroom was very clean and well-maintained for a not so newer property. Lewisburg highway was quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay again! read more

Don't Depend On Your Confirmed Reservation Making a confirmed reservation in Nov. 2020 for a room on 9/11/2021, I thought I was all set to attend a family wedding.  But, not so at the Comfort Suites in Lewisburg, PA.  In mid-August 2021, less than a month before the wedding, I was contacted by the Comfort Suites, Lewisburg and informed that they would not be honoring my confirmed reservation. It seems that the owner of the Lewisburg, PA Comfort Suites entered into a deal with a local University to lease the hotel to house students, and put confirmed guests on the street within just days/weeks of their reservations.  I found what I was being told very hard to believe and could not fathom that a business owner would act so dishonorably.  I also learned that Choice Hotels has no control of their franchised hotels and did nothing to remedy the situation. After the Lewisburg Comfort Suites could not find me a comparable room in the area, they told me there was nothing they could do and sent me on my way just a couple of weeks before my family wedding.  No surprise to me that  just a few weeks before my needed reservation, most hotels in the area were booked and Comfort Suites refused to pay any difference in room rates to book me in a comparable room in a local hotel.  I booked the Comfort Suites because I needed the 2 Queen beds and Sofa-bed.  I was able to find a comparable room at another hotel, but Comfort Suites and Choice Hotels refused to pay the difference in room rates.  Since Comfort Suites, Lewisburg decided to 'chase the money' offered in the lease agreement with University, I thought the least they should do would be to pay the difference in room rates for a comparable room. But, there is no honor at this hotel, only unscrupulous business practices. The mistake I made in this situation was to depend on a confirmed reservation made 10 months before my stay.  I am hurt and upset by the treatment by the Lewisburg, PA Comfort Suites and Choice Hotels.  I view the business decision of the hotel owner to be dishonorable and unethical, and to simply cancel a confirmed reservation without finding a comparable hotel room to be unacceptable.  Relationships between a hotel and their guests should matter, and there is more than just money involved in running a business.  Without satisfied hotel guests... there is no business! Thus, I would avoid the Lewisburg, PA Comfort Suites if you need to depend on your confirmed reservation for business or personal use.  There are several hotels in Lewisburg, PA who honor their reservations and are not owned by an unethical person who does not care about their guests.  Guests are the life-blood of a hotel, and this hotel owner has proven that they will break the important guest-hotel confirmed reservation contract without regard for the customer. This experience will also forever change my opinion of the Choice Hotel Brand as they also did not stand behind, and support, their Privilege Member customer.  Evidently, the only thing that matters to the owner of the Lewisburg, PA Comfort Suites is MONEY.  So, I'd stay somewhere else if at all possible... read more

Rooms are nice enough, and reasonably clean for the price. After I got home after a recent visit, though, I found that they had charged me for an extra night. When I called to ask about it, I was told that I had been marked a "no show" when I didn't show up until 3:30 AM (even though I had called earlier to let them know I'd be late), so they basically recharged me for that night. I informed them that Priceline would not refund me for that night. I was then told that I needed to speak to the General Manager, Jennifer, to get the problem addressed. The problem is that Jennifer never seems to be available and doesn't return phone calls. So hopefully my bank can recoup the money they stole from me. Worst experience at a hotel EVER! Our "suite" had one lamp, a sofa covered in unidentifiable spatter, filthy carpet, etc. etc. It was so bad I had someone from the front desk come in to look at it! We put a spare blanket on the sofa to feel OK about sitting on it! Just gross! The manager was conveniently not in. After we returned home, I tried repeatedly to contact the manager. I left over ten messages, both with the front desk and voice mail. I NEVER got a response! Terrible! Shame! read more

For what it is a decent, comfortable hotel. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy. Pretty quiet for the most part and conveniently located very close to Bucknell University. The staff were friendly. The complimentary breakfast buffet was so-so but they did have fresh fruit, yogurt, and good blueberry muffins to help you forget the waffles that look and taste like expanding foam. read more

4.1.2017 (The only one fooled this morning was me) I had to have them clean my room because the bathroom tub was sticky and there was hair on the tile. And then after paying them an extra half day so that I could keep the room until 6pm. This establishment had the gall, the audacity to charge me $100 with an additional pending charge of $51.23. I discovered the charge on 4.1.2017 while reviewing a credit card statement to reconcile my bills. I am so livid right now. In my twenty-plus years of traveling for work and holiday. I have NEVER had to deal with such tomfoolery, but they have picked the right one to challenge for a fight. There was an omen that I was going to encounter bullshit with this hotel. They NEVER emailed me my hotel confirmation even though they claimed they did. Just to give context, the only reason I even stayed at this hotel was because it is close to Bucknell University. I traveled from DC to Lewisburg, PA on Monday night; check-in just before or after 9pm 3.27.2017 and checked-out at 5:55pm Tuesday 3.38.2017 to attend Barry Jenkins (the Director of Oscar's winning best picture "Moonlight" keynote address and Q&A on diversity at Bucknell University at 7pm, leaving for the Weis Center at 6pm, so to be accused of stealing a nasty hotel blanket and two pillows is proof that racism, stereotypes, and racial shenanigans is ALIVE and WELL in 2017. I contacted the hotel Saturday morning upon seeing the charge; I was told about the nature of the charge and that there was no manager on site until Monday morning. Stayed over for the weekend here, not much in the area except bucknell, more restaurants and shopping about 10 minutes down the road. Breakfast was good (boiled eggs, yogurt, make your own waffle station, cereal, sweets, bagels, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, juice). Also used the pool, the water felt great!! Did notice a few machines were out of order in fitness room. Also have issues with the wifi staying connected. read more

Arrived in Lewisburg late on a Thursday night with no hotel reservations. Stopped here and was glad we did. Dom, the Guest Clerk at the front desk, was very courteous and accommodating. He placed us in a quiet room away from potential noise as there was a swim team also staying there. Kudos to the swim team as there was never any issues with noise. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and very nice. Breakfast the next morning was good with a nice variety. The rates for the room were very reasonable and we all were grateful for the value we got for our stay. read more
