Great location in historic town. A bit away from heavy traffic and crowds which make more quiet and peaceful evenings. I've been here three times and will return. I just wish breakfast was a bit better.

This place was spot on when it came to cleanliness, friendly staff, comfort and amenities. It was a cold blustery night and when I arrived I was dreading going back out to eat dinner after I check in. Problem solved, they were serving chili and refreshments for the guests. This is such a nice extra as I was able to have a bowl of chili and a cold beer without going back out to the cold. I would stay here again if in the area.

Vent in bathroom was nasty. Appeared to be smoked in.

Overall it seems the employees are trying but the building is in bad shape. There are holes in the walls in the hallways and stairs. We will not be staying here again. Not for over $100 per night!

Property appears to be brand new andvery well kept. I hope they keep it that way. Very large, spacious rooms. Rooms have a large jetted tub and separate shower. Typical small indoor pool, but it does have a nice workout room. Great complimentary breakfast including an omelet s t ation

we ended up spending quite a bit of the evening in our room, after discovering that there really wasn't a whole lot to see in Dodge city, Kansas.

Special thanks to Valerie at the Long Branch Saloon and Aricelli at the front desk for being so friendly and welcoming! And thanks to Francisco for handling our reservation. The inn has a swell Old West atmosphere with a staircase leading to the second floor from the lobby, which has an interesting layout (there is a pocket bar, the Long Branch Saloon, tucked under the 2nd-floor balcony). Our room was a standard hotel room but spacious, with a king bed, sitting area with loveseat and overstuffed chair, desk with office chair, and dresser which held the TV and fridge as well as drawers for clothing. There was an additional counter across from bathroom which held the microwave with space underneath for luggage. The bed was very comfortable, and there was a selection of pillows from soft to firm. It was handy to have two doors for the room--one to interior hallway and one to the outside. We parked directly outside our room for easy load-in and load-out. The downside of our room's location was the noise from the main street (Wyatt Earp Blvd) which runs alongside the property and occurred throughout the night. We had asked for a room on the other side of the building, away from the street, but none were available when we checked in. The fitness room was adequate, but the treadmill was broken, and one bicycle had limited use ("subscription expired" for Les Mills Stages). There was an additional bike, an elliptical trainer, and weightlifting equipment available. The tasty hot breakfast was included in the cost of the room, with plenty of selections. It would be nice if the hotel offered reusable plates, cups, and silverware for guests. There was an additional coffee machine next to the reception desk, with options including lattes, mochas and cappuccino, and it was available 24 hours a day. The TV reception was very good quality, and we appreciate the hotel information book with the list of TV channels and hours for breakfast, the pool and gym, and other hotel amenities. The pool was under renovation during our visit so we didn't get to try it. There are two entrances to the property: the one on 14th street is easy to miss as it's the size of someone's driveway and is very steep. Easier access is from Wyatt Earp Blvd to 13th street, with a more graded approach to the building. Again, we had a good stay at the Best Western Country Inn, and thank them for our visit!

Plenty of parking, and there's even a Phillips 66 gas station next door with actually very competitive prices. There's no restaurant on property but there are some across the street, and the front desk provides a list of local eateries. Tip: The Bryce Canyon Pines Restaurant - located 4 miles away on route 12 -was an excellent choice. Our king room was spacious, plenty of storage, and 2 sinks in the room. The shower had plenty of hot water and ample water pressure. The toiletries was lemony, citrusy which was pleasant to use. There was even a fridge and microwave in the room. I was quite impressed on the breakfast buffet. They literally had everything you could think of for breakfast, from eggs, sausage AND bacon, waffles, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, fruit, fresh yogurt, yogurt in a cup, juice, cereal, breads, donuts, potatoes, and so much more! Even the coffee was good... not weak at all. There are a few feral cats on property and I was so sad they had to stay out in the cold, huddled under our cars for warmth. Aside from that, it's an excellent location. Staff was friendly, but not overly chatty.

This Holiday Inn Express and Suites helped make my visit to Dodge City slightly better…read more I did not enjoy my time in Dodge City with a few exceptions. One was this hotel, and you will either laugh and say "that makes sense for John", or you will think I am a lunatic when I explain why. Either way, I liked the small touch that elevated breakfast to greatness. So what was the small touch? Jalapenos and Tabasco. Aww yeah! So I may be jumping ahead telling you about the free breakfast, but there are no rules on Yelp. Here is what you need to know if you eat here. Get some of the cheese omelets that they have, add about one hundred jalapenos and coat it in chipotle hot sauce. If you can't handle that, we can't be friends. If you can, you are A-OK in my book. What about the rest of the hotel? The room was clean, comfortable, and lived up to HIE standards. The staff were friendly and helpful, minus the one bad recommendation for dinner. When I arrived, I realized the hotel was next to a waterpark that made parking kind of insane. By the time I got back from dinner the park was closed and the parking area was empty. But be forewarned if you arrive when it is open. If you find yourself in Dodge City, this is where you should stay.

Dont they remember they are in the hospitality industry. Google definitions: Hospitality is the generous and friendly reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers. It is the act of making others feel welcome, comfortable, and valued, both in personal settings like a home and within the broader, multi-billion dollar commercial industry. Not here in Dodge City Kansas. Never coming back to this establishment. Steer clear.

I was willing to forgive and forget a couple of these things since the clerk at the front desk was very kind until we got booted from the hotel today because my baby threw up on the bed. My baby, unfortunately got sick in the night and threw up on the bed, leaving a little bit of bile on the mattress and sheets. We explain to both the front desk and the maid that I was going to clean it, however, the maid took pictures sent it to the manager, who then tried to charge us for Destruction of property. When my husband tried to explain to him that I had cleaned the mattress and asked him to go look at it before trying to charge us. He decided instead he rather take our money for the five days we've paid in advance for and kick us out at 6 PM With nowhere to go. Then called the cops and had us trespassed without refunding us the nearly $400 we paid for in advance. There are many great places to stay in Dodge, I advise whatever you do stay at one of those and avoids this place like the plague.
