I was one sick puppy!…read more I spent almost a week in the hospital. Then, three weeks at inpatient rehab. Now at least a month going to outpatient rehab and that's where these fine folks come in. Heads up! - Two reviews (Lee Y & Tito R) are incorrectly posted and belong with the hospital across the street. Process- Before my 1st appointment, they texted me an online registration link. This minimized the paperwork and was much appreciated! Appointments run on time which is delightful! Atmosphere- This is a big place with all the rehab bells and whistles for both PT and OT. Masks are required and they clean equipment a lot! Customer Service- The two service folks that have touched me have been friendly and efficient. For consistency, I requested that I have the same therapist each visit and they happily accommodated me! Therapists- My guy has been awesome. He likes to set objective goals and he clearly explains the "why" of every exercise. In addition to getting better, I'm learning a lot! These folks are part of the Advent Health System which I use quite a bit. They are great choice for outpatient rehab in Highlands County.

I went in for an ultrasound and ended up in the ER. Yes, the staff is worn out in places - they have been in a war. Still, I received all the treatment I needed. The operating room was beyond overbooked. So, I had to wait a day for my surgery. I was kept out of danger with antibiotics. EVERY staff member was a true hero. I know many of them were working after having had COVID and still came back. So, after waiting a day, I was the only one in pre-op. I went almost right in and EXPERT surgeons saved my life. Turned out it was worse than they first thought and the antibiotics had really been needed. After surgery, I was treated for another three days and EVERY test and procedure was done. I have been in this hospital with my family a few years back and it's not the same - it's rougher around the edges. THE WHOLE WORLD is rougher around the edge.

I felt like the folks who worked with me were completely focused on helping me meet my goals. Although I'm not quite there yet, I made significant improvement and was discharged with current assessment information to take to my home state PT facility so I can finish therapy there. He looked up at the TV in the lobby and held the door while I passed, saying nothing. I should have turned around and walked out then. But I went in and I sat in a chair while he worked on the computer for at least 15 minutes. He never looked at me or spoke to me or explained what he was doing on the computer. Checking his FaceBook page? Answering his email? What was he typing when he had not spent one second with me? When he finally began working with me, his manner was cold, impersonal and critical of my progress to date. I felt devastated. The people at the front desk behaved the same way. They don't look up or smile at people arriving. When I left I tried to kid a bit with them. Nothing. No smiles. The staff at this facility seem to be miserable. They should be working on equipment, not people. People in pain need TLC. They are incapable of caring. I'm going to try to look for a different rehab facility. This is not a healing environment. Wish me luck.
