Established in 2003.
Comfort Keepers is a leader in providing seniors and other adults with in-home assistance in Columbia and the surrounding areas. Our personal care services include light housework, cooking, regular baths, personal care, and more, to help stay safe and independent. Care can range from a few hours a week or to 24 hour care depending on the client. Our brand of Interactive Caregiving is unique, and our caregivers are trained in keeping seniors engaged, active and to help support both physical health and mental well-being
Meet the Business Owner: David C.
David Coker, Owner, locations in Columbia, Florence and Sumter Comfort Keepers offices since 2003. He knows from personal experience the support families need when caring for an elderly loved one who requires assistance at home.
When his grandmother became ill, his family was challenged to care for her in their daily work schedules. This experience opened his eyes to the need for full-time, professional caregivers who could lend families a hand and make caregiving less stressful and more fulfilling.
At the same time, he was looking for a more personally rewarding career, so he and his wife Julie, who saw this as a calling for him to own and operate an in-home care business. After considering a variety of in-home care franchises, he chose Comfort Keepers.
