I spoke with the case manager from Capital Home Health for Austin home physical therapy after my intake by their physical therapist. The lady with whom I spoke called from Dallas and could not have been ruder. She took great enjoyment in speaking over me repeatedly, not allowing me to ask questions, not allowing me to question the referral, nor allowing me to question the number of days authorized. I ended up telling her she was fired after 10 minutes of this. Bottom line, if I allowed Capitol Home Health to treat me as they planned, my insurance company only authorized 3 days of treatment. Capitol Home Health wanted to treat me for six to eight weeks. While their contract states that you would only pay what the insurance pays, and wouldn't have to pay a copay beyond that, in this situation the bill would have been catastrophic and would have ended up being a court case.

It did not look like they showered her at all and she was very quiet. I was not given regular updates on her, I had to reach our on my own and request them. I have had a much better experience with Visiting Angels and they are at a cheaper rate . $25 an hour is high for poor service and no daily update. I will not use them or recommend ComforCare.

My mom was struggling physically/mentally and would just moan. One caregiver told her to be quiet multiple times. Another one refused to help because she had asked for too much help. One was busy on her phone and didn't bother to put my mom to bed so my mom fell asleep on her recliner. I tried to talk to the person assigned to me for staffing and she didn't answer texts/calls. I cancelled with her because the people that they were sending were so bad, that it was better to have no one. I got no answer till after the weekend and I was told that I needed to give more notice. I explained that I tried to give notice, but that person wasn't answering their phone. They sent one last person out that they claimed was their best and no one had every complained. After that person got my mom to sleep, she turned tv to the station she wanted (in room next to my mom) and then started calling friends on the phone and talking loudly over the tv. Find your own caregivers. Staffing agencies send people that couldn't get jobs on their own.

Are you kidding me, this was completely inappropriate - as they inspected our property before coming out and we were not the caregivers employer. We were losing our father and we were in no way financially responsible for this incident nor could we handle this kind of issue while facing the death of our father. I would definitely not recommend this company. I have been a healthcare administrator for over 30 years - and knew the procedures for employee incidents.
