Best pet friendly hotel in the area that we have tried. Room was the cleanest hotel pet friendly room EVER!!! Excellent water pressure in the shower and Excellent hotel hair dryer. Sample soap and shampoo items were a decent smell...not overwhelming or obnoxious smelling. Our room had updated fixtures that were well kept. Mattress was super comfortable. Nice roomy fridge and freezer combo, plus microwave and mini coffee maker. Breakfast had a nice variety. Pool looked fantastic, but we were not able to swim during the pool hours that it was opened. Nice quiet atmosphere and relaxing even though the hotel was full. Nice staff and guests. Beautiful little town with really nice bike trails and some cute little shops nearby. Would have liked to explore, but our arrival and departure was bad timing for those places being opened. I would rate this hotel as a 4.5 or 4.75 star hotel. read more

Nice hotel and accommodating staff. Great proximity to the bike trail, which runs right behind it. We stayed here 3 nights to ride on the bike trail. The front desk staff suggested that we put our bikes in the pool area at night, just across from the front desk. This area is locked when the pool is closed, so that worked out great. Short walking distance to town and several restaurants. It was a nice relaxing time, and the hotel & staff was good. read more

While the hotel is a typical two star hotel. It was clean and the employees for the most part were helpful. However on my last day here on a business trip they decided to tear off the roof. I was on the top floor and from 6:00 in the morning until I left I heard nothing but them scraping the shingles off the roof. It is beyond my comprehension why they did not offer to move us the night before to a lower floor where the noise obviously would be lessened. They did call us the night before to let us know about a little noise in the morning. Little noise is a gross understatement. When speaking to the front staff they only offer their apologies needless to say I will not be visiting this hotel again. read more

We started off at Motel 8 and it was a nightmare. We showed up here after the hell given to us by Motel 8 and the staff were overly welcoming. They fit us in, and even upgraded us to a wonderful room at the same rate as Motel 8, "as an apology for the entire industry." I saw a post saying Josh was rude and that isn't the case. He was wonderful to us. Also, the lady (I'm sorry that I didn't get her name after giving us the deal) was sooooo nice. This place treated us fantastically. read more

First off this hotel is full of black mold, so it smells musty and moldy no matter what the house keepers try and cover the awful stench with, the bed pads must not get changed seeing how their was a urine stain bigger than myself on it, with the exception of Josh the staff is extremely rude, the lady with short dark hair ( Stacy is the name I believe) is completely out of line in how she talks to guests and other employees, she needs some serious anger management or to stop thinking she's better than everyone, the breakfast was nasty pastries moldy and stale and the eggs were rubbery andthe sausage was over done and dry, do not stay here!! read more

We were passing through Mt. Vernon to see my father and had to stay at the Comfort Inn due to the fact that they were pet friendly. The hotel was much cleaner then a previous hotel we stayed at and the staff was warm and friendly. The hotel was quiet and easy access to the main road. Wasn't really the hotel we usually stay at but met our needs for the night. The kids liked the pool and the breakfast was exactly the same as a higher class hotel. We would probably stay there again the next time we visit my dad. read more

This is literally the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was dirty and the smell was horrible. Upon entering, the room smelled like cigarette smoke and stale ethnic food, despite their guarantees of 100 percent smoke free environment. The towels were dirty and the carpet was dank. After trying to air the room out for a couple of hours, I got a headache from the smell of smoke so we went downstairs to complain and were told that they couldn't move us because the hotel was fully booked but that we should call the next day and they would give us a refund so we left. My husband called the next day and spoke to Dorothy who is the manager there. She was extremely rude and unaccomodating and refused to refund any portion of the outrageous $175 we had spent on this dump. Whatever you do, do not stay here. It is disgusting and the customer service is atrocious. If I could give it zero stars I would. read more

Absolutely the worst hotel experience I've had in years. I travel a lot on business and I've stayed at hotels, motels and inns all over the country. This is absolutely the worst hotel I've stayed at in years. I arrived at the hotel dead tired -- all I wanted to do was check in, unpack, go grab dinner and come back to get some sleep for an early AM meeting. Check in was fine and the room looked clean. I unpacked and was heading out to grab some dinner when the first problem popped up. The hotel door didn't lock. As I was leaving the room, I didn't hear the customary sound of the autolock and fortunately I tested the door. Sure enough, it opened right up. I closed it and reopened it several times to make sure it wasn't locking. Thankfully I checked before leaving the room with 2 laptops, a bunch of computer parts and $600 in cash sitting in my luggage. I called the front desk and let them know about the problem. Instead of offering me another room, they told me they would send someone up to fix the problem. It took nearly two hours to get the #$%#@$% door fixed with me sitting there the entire time just wanting to go get dinner and come back to get some sleep. As it turns out, the maintenance man had gone home for the day and they had to call him back. Then he had to come look at the door, make multiple trips back and forth for tools and parts, all the while trying to figure out what was wrong with the door locking mechanism. So the guy finally finishes and leaves. I go get dinner and come back. Intro to the next issue. I come back from dinner and go to the sink to wash my hands and realize that the sink stopper is closed. I might not be the brightest guy in the world but I'm also not an idiot. I spent the next 15 minutes trying to figure out how to open the stopper on the sink. I checked everywhere, including under the sink before finally breaking down and calling the front desk. The lady at the front desk said she didn't know how to open the stopper but she would go look at one in another room and call me back. She finally called back 15 or 20 minutes later to tell me that in order to open the stopper you have to push down on it and it clicks open. Are you kidding me? So in order to empty a sink of dirty water, you have to stick your hand in it? IMO, whoever picked this out should have the crap beat out of them for buying such an asinine design. Whatever. And this leads to the coup de grâce of the evening. I get in the shower and within 30 seconds I was standing ankle deep in dirty shower water. It took 30 minutes to take a shower because every 4-5 minutes I had to turn the shower off and let the water drain for 1-2 minutes. I finally finished my shower and called down the front desk. (BTW the person I kept talking to was Nancy.) I let her know about the problem in the shower and complained about the repeated problems at the hotel. I asked her to send someone up with some Drano so I could clear the shower drain. She informed me that there was no one else working and she was the only person at the hotel and they didn't have anything to clear a clog. She also said they were having problems because of renovations - I'm not sure why that's my concern as a paying customer but she seemed to think that would resolve everything. At this point I was FINALLY, begrudgingly offered another room to stay in. Unfortunately, it was a little too little, too late as I was already unpacked, showered and all I wanted to do was go to sleep. Folks...take my advice and stay away. I could excuse all of the issues if the staff had taken a more proactive approach to solving the problems or even if there was some sincere concern showed for the issues. As it stands, I would recommend you find another place to stay - even if you have to stay in a neighboring town. read more

I called in today and explained that I called the day before and the young man was very friendly. (He said his name was Josh) I told him that I had a AAA card and if he could check on the rate with the discount. He tried to check the rate for me but after a min he explained that he was new and wasn't really sure to add the discount? He apologized and said if I called back tomorrow someone would be able to help him with the discount. He apologize again and asked if there was anything else that I could help him with? I told him no and thet he had been more than helpful, and that I would call back tomorrow and find out the rate with AAA. So when I called back the lady said her name was Shannon. I explained that I had call the night before and needed a rate for a room with a AAA discount. I explained I called the night before and Josh tried to help me, but was unable to remember how to add the discount. I explained that he was very friendly and said if I called back in tomorrow that someone would be able to help me. The lady went on a rant saying she was tired of them hiring stupid people that didn't know how to do anything. She also went on a rant about the managers letting incompetent people train the new hires. I was so caught off guard about what the lady had said I didn't know what to say. She rudely ask me if I'd still like to book a room with the discount? I told her that I was just checking rates in the area and I'll get back with her. I think the way the lady talked about coworkers was very unprofessional. And as long as she's working there I will stay somewhere else. read more
