Loosing star as we found empty beers cans on the floor off room, chair broken to where you could not sit in it, and many rust screws in parking lot. Front desk girl was nice but young. Found out our room was on the second floor with no elevator. She said she had no rooms on the first floor. Found out later she had no King suites on the first floor but didn't offer a double that they had. Thankfully, some nice young men helped us carry our luggage upstairs. On the positive side, bedding seemed clean and tv worked, although very small. Bathtub faucet drips constantly. Couch was filthy. Room smelled of smoke even though they are supposed to be non-smoking. Ice bucket said "shower caps" on the side and was dirty and without a liner. Desk girl provided a new one but had to give a trash bag as she couldn't find any liners. The place is obviously being updated as there is dust and new furniture in boxes around the building. Breakfast was mediocre with tables not cleared and flies around. No laundry services for guests. Front desk girl offered to wash our clothes in their washers. I expect a lot more from a Comfort Inn, especially considering how prices for hotel rooms have risen dramatically. * Had to amend review when I got ready to take a shower. There is MOLD on the shower curtain, the towel rack is falling down and the tub doesn't drain. I wish I'd never taken a shower. *brought all of this to manager's attention. She was VERY accommodating and I am happy with OUR results. I hope that when the place is finished and staff is reviewed and held accountable, this will meet the expectations of a Comfort Inn. read more

Rooms were mediocre,tub didn't drain and when my wife tried to let the desk know he could care less, tried to get some sort of refund with no luck except he offered to send us to another hotel and hung up on her !, tried again to see if we should call corporate office about a refund of to get some of our points back and he told my wife in profanities she could do what the @#$& she wanted . Unbelievable Would not stay here again 2nd floor being partly renovated I guess some doors with no doorframes plastic coverings on some doors , very unprofessional wouldn't give it even a half star read more

Stayed Aug 6, 2022 by Priceline reservation. Hotel is under construction, and construction piles had thick layers of dust. My main floor room had a cut window screen, but this was my second room. The first was on the second floor and smelled bad. I couldn't open the window. Breakfast is no longer included. Employee was polite, but he appeared to not be paid enough to care. he was busy watching TV and I observed him ignoring phone calls. Priceline site had it rated well, but upon review, it was just a bunch of 5 star reviews with not comments. Lesson learned. Will not be back. read more

The good: Friendly front desk lady. Soup available in the lobby. Coffee, tea, etc. also available at all hours. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were nice. The heating / cooling was quiet and worked well. Good price. The concerning: (Not the hotel's fault...) OBNOXIOUS hunters wandering the halls late at night and at 5:15 a.m., loud, laughing, absolutely no regard for others who were sleeping. Ugh. Body hair in the tub. A PILE of body hair in the corner of the bathroom. I don't like body hair in my own bathroom, but to see a pile like that in a hotel room was....hard to take. (I chose not to use the shower.) The room was tidy, but not clean by any stretch of the imagination. Dust on everything, as if the room hadn't been cleaned in a couple months. Smeary smudges all over the microwave front. During Covid-19, this shouldn't be something travelers have to deal with. Things should be spotless. I have a sneaking suspicion that the room was spot-cleaned, not thoroughly sanitized like all hotels are doing these days. The bathroom counter didn't feel or look clean, either, especially under the tray that held the shampoo, etc. (More body hair with a crusty film that indicated it hadn't been wiped down after multiple splashes had hit that corner and dried.) I would not recommend this hotel. It's possible they are short staffed, as many businesses are these days, which is hard. Every hotel has its .moments but what we did here is we made it one of the greatest learning experiences a hotel can provide to its amazing repeat clientele and to the new member of our choice rewards program to the one time stays that have no where to go when they have there pet in toe. We accommodate you, we are never far from the front desk if we are away from it at all. If you need something we make sure that you have it, and if we don't have it, we will let you know where you can go to get it. We don't have to wear name tags because the guests here are sure to know us all by name by the time that we leave. Do not stay here. Although, the front lady desk was friendly. There were some red flags: back door was not secure, our door frame in room had some damage on the door frame, it looked like a pry bar was used to open it, windows were cracked, a RV was the only vehicle in parking lot and it looked like it was permanent, many of the rooms as I was walking by had the security latch holding them open on the first and second floor (unsure, why?), our room looked clean from appearance but it was dusty, and the other room we booked was hot and stuffy, our room smelled like smoke. We did not feel comfortable and decided to leave without notifying manager or front desk lady as we felt unsure about this whole environment. I think the manager? although friendly, was sleeping up-right on the couch in the main lounge when I walked in. It was weird. It was all feeling uncomfortable. I wish I read more reviews before I booked this stay. I think this place has great potential but right now, it did not feel safe. When I mean great potential, some areas are updated but when you walk in you see a huge crack in the window to the pool that is drained. Again, the people were nice to us but the all the environmental factors triggered us to find a different hotel and made us uncomfortable/unsafe feeling. read more

Wow, the other reviews are atrocious! Usually I'm quite picky but I was pleasantly surprised with my stay (as my 5-star rating demonstrates). I purchased a "two star"-worthy room on Hotwire while carefully driving along I-94. $70 a night with Wi-Fi, breakfast and free parking...Yes please! We arrived late around 11 pm while traveling west to Seattle from Chicago. The only true tourist site worth seeing is the humungous bison that stands proud on a hill over the town. After all, Jamestown is known as "The Buffalo City." College boys were working the graveyard shift at the front desk. They were helpful and friendly, and were even caught meticulously cleaning in the morning! No highway traffic was heard, although the hotel is located conveniently off I-94. I found the room to be very clean and spacious. We ended up scoring a handicap accessible room. I personally appreciated the sensor night light in bathroom, plus there was a microwave and mini-fridge available in the room. The white cushion comforter on the bed was very comfortable, so much that I didn't want to rise in the morning to continue our dreadful long drive. For any kids, there is a good-sized pool and a McDonalds next door, although you are given a complimentary breakfast with the basics: eggs, waffles, cereal, yogurt, etc. I can't say I have anything negative to say about my stay, perhaps that all the other folks who stayed at the hotel were hunters dressed head to toe in camouflage and stared at my partner and I like we were outsiders. Even as a last resort ... STAY AWAY!!! What a dump! The first indication would be the two Coors Light 12-pack containers filled with "dead soldiers" and other assorted trash, conveniently placed next to the large out door ash tray, right next to the back entrance. This place is a class act. Not! Okay the room looks nice enough, but the Internet was down, and was offered the use of The Holiday Inn Express' WiFi next door, while the tech team in India tried to fix the problem with the Comfort Inn's WiFi. Three hours later ... still not working. Should have gone to the Holiday Inn! No elevator to the second floor. Hope your 2nd floor room is near a door, especially if you're traveling with a lot of luggage, pets, or other bulky items. Add the noise, thin walls, and the stench of air freshener. which is both nauseating and headache inducing, it's SO strong. Sadly I can't open a window because of all the car and truck noise. The noise is so loud it keeps scaring my 2 cats. Thank god I wear earplugs to bed ... otherwise there would truly by no comfort here! read more

It's North Dakota, so our view was the wall of the next door motel. + Front pillow is soft, back pillow hard. + Pool is cool water with handicapped access chair, no less. There are no suites "overlooking the pool", so Doug M. has the wrong motel listing or he is. There is a long aluminum pole in the pool area in case you are drowning. The breakfast was ham and eggs till 9 o'clock. We did not here the drunken McDonald's customers. Internet was fast. Still no elevator to the second floor, but they do have stairs now so that worked out. Sorry several had such a bad night, sometimes travel sucks, but no, this is not a 5 star hotel. read more

Came to lobby entrance from interior hallway later. 20 people were sitting in a circle shoulder to shoulder, no one was wearing a mask in this common area. Wow. We were staying in town for a large event. We called ahead a few months in advance and were told the prices were jacked up because of the event. Since we had waited so long, we were left with no choice but to book it. Because family had recommended it, we thought it would be fine. Our first night was fine. Breakfast was scrambled eggs in a crockpot with lots of water. When we returned from activities, our room was not made up. They had not vacuumed the floor or cleaned the shower. The second night we got very little sleep. The noises were annoying. The air conditioner and the mini fridge made noises loud enough to keep us awake. That morning breakfast was miserable. When the coffee ran out, the desk person was very rude. When we returned to the room, the bathroom had been cleaned and the searing back that we had picked off the floor the day before was gone. But we did find a mask between the bed and the night stand. Neither bed had been made up, but the decorative cover had been folded. Noise from the mini fridge once again awoke us and we finally just unplugged it. Breakfast was thawed overhard eggs and the tables were dirty. When we went to check out and told the front desk staff about our uncleaned room, she questioned whether we were telling the truth. The same room two weeks prior was $30 cheaper. They took advantage of the large event and refused to knock anything off the bill, even though they would have been money ahead if they would have discounted a portion of that $30.00. read more

Clean and quiet motel with updated rooms. Very comfortable beds and well appointed bathrooms. Friendly staff, and an adequate continental breakfast. Great value for the price, and our preferred hotel to stay in Jamestown. Pet friendly ($15 per night) and smoke free through the the growl. Highly recommend! read more

Terrible, terrible, terrible! I had to stay here as it was the only place that took pets. It was a nightmare! The rooms have thin walls and thin floors and being on the bottom floor left a lot of noise from guests above. We were also on the end room by the stairs and heard every step taken up an down. When traveling with a dog you need a quiet place, this is NOT it. My dog was on alert at every noise thinking an intruder was coming in. No sleep for anyone that night. As for the hotel itself, seemed dingy and musty. The "free breakfast" was a joke! Stick with the McDonald's next door or the gas station across the street. The staff left much to be desired and could have cared less about how anyone's stay actually was. My advice, keep driving on to Fargo if going east or Bismarck if going west should you need lodging with a pet! read more

I recommend that nobody ever stays here. They will screw you if they can. I just tried to make a reservation and they told me because the town is booked up that they would only take my reservation if I made it for 2 days.
