My low rating is mainly due to management and customer service. We asked for just 20 extra minutes for a late checkout and were told no, which we accepted. We packed our car and went for a short hike, planning to return before the 11 a.m. checkout just to change. When we came back, our room had already been completely cleaned even though it was before checkout time. After we questioned the front desk about why the room was cleaned early, the manager suddenly offered to let us use it again to change. Great room, location, and housekeeping--but management could definitely be more accommodating and improve their customer service.

It offers…read morefree parking, the location is easy to find right off the freeway, and it worked well for us since we were just passing through the area. The biggest issue we had was with check-in. We arrived really late at night, around 2:30-3:00 AM, and ended up standing outside the hotel entrance for about 10-15 minutes because nobody was at the front desk. We were calling the front desk number and nobody answered. Luckily, there happened to be another guest sitting in the lobby -- honestly a blessing at that hour -- and he let us inside so we weren't stuck outside in the cold. Even after getting inside, we still waited another 10 minutes or so before someone from the front desk finally showed up. We called the front desk number again while inside and still got no answer. Overall, it took close to 20-25 minutes just to see an attendant and get checked into the room. I stay at a lot of IHG hotels and have some level of membership with them, and at most locations it's pretty common to at least be greeted warmly or offered something simple like points or water bottles. Unfortunately, when the attendant finally showed up after the long wait, it honestly looked like she didn't care at all. I even asked if they had any water bottles available and she simply said no. She just didn't seem welcoming or interested in being there, which was disappointing considering a hotel front desk is a customer service role. Once we finally got into the room though, everything was fine and pretty standard with no other issues during the stay.

It's quiet while we are here and we like that a lot. The workers are very nice and always greeting us. During the day, there's coffee, tea and apples available for you to enjoy. Morning, breakfast is served at 6:30am until about 9:30am. Plenty of parking in front of the hotel.

I was in St. George celebrating my birthday with my family, so having a smooth, stress-free stay was so important to me. Daniel completely exceeded my expectations....his customer service is top-notch, and he truly went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. He single-handedly turned our trip into a five-star weekend! A few highlights from our stay: * The Breakfast: Really solid overall, but the biscuits and gravy deserve a special shoutout. Most hotel continental breakfasts serve bland gravy, but this one had the perfect amount of pepper and spice. I loved it! * The Rooms & Atmosphere: Clean, fresh, comfortable, and felt very safe. We were treated to a beautiful view of the mountains right from our room. * Pet Friendly: They treated my little Maltipoo like royalty! Finding places that truly welcome pets can be tricky, so this meant the world to us. If you are heading to St. George, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Huge thank you to Daniel and the rest of the La Quinta staff for an amazing birthday weekend. We will definitely be back!

So...I decided to go with my old faithful La Quinta...and let me tell you...this place is good! Lots of spaces in the lobby to hang out. It has a pool and a well stocked little snack store. The staff is nice. They have a breakfast and you know it looked typical. Breakfast ends at 10 but it was nearly check out time (11am) and the food was still out at around 10:30. I asked if I was able to eat since it was still set up and the staff was cleaning up. Everything looked so fresh. I have to say this was the BEST breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. I mean, if I had gone to a breakfast restaurant that was sit down and I was served this plate. I would've happily paid for it. The potatoes were nice and spicy but not hot, the eggs were seasoned. The muffin wasn't dried out at all. There was also sausage bacon, a waffle station, bagels, biscuits, bread to toast, selection of juices and coffees. There was cereal. It was just really good. My room was clean and smelled good. I was having a really bad vacation my car broke down in the middle of nowhere. Anyway my situation requires me to stay another night overnight in St. George next week so I will absolutely be staying here...it was the breakfast that really sealed the deal. I was going to give this a five anyway even without the breakfast included, but that put it over the top. When I got to the front desk, the lady who was working, asked me if I had any special requests and I said yes I would like a room that doesn't have anyone next-door to it and close to an elevator and she was so accommodating and she found me the perfect room. I was checked in around 9pm.

I complained to management about most this (the stuff that's within their control) and got back a response taking no ownership of any of the issues. Bottom Line: pay an extra $20 and find someplace where you can get some sleep and that isn't an out of date dump like this.

Located on St. George Blvd, a main drag, it is a modest two story building, with a small but functional parking lot, though a little challenging to get into from the freeway (probably best to make a U-turn once you pass it). Nothing fancy on the outside, but attractive. The woman in the office was nice enough and we were checked in quickly. Happily, we're had an upstairs room over the office and set back from the street. No elevator but the staircase was easy to negotiate. Our room was nice and clean. We had two queens, which we like when traveling. The bathroom and shower were small but the water was hot and the pressure was good. The bathroom fan worked well. The beds were not super comfortable, but good for one night. The AC was great. There is a healthy place to eat right across the street and other eateries within walking distance. Apparently there is a pool but we didn't use it. We will stay here again when passing through.

At 500 sq. ft, it feels spacious and serene, with a sitting area over looking the river below, blackout drapes, soaking tub, seperate walk-in shower, pillow-top mattress, workplace, and a 55" TV that my man really appreciates. But the best part is the large private balcony with seating and a direct view of The Watchman, one of Zion's most iconic peaks. Sunrises and sunsets from here are epic. Your stay includes, wifi, parking, year-round access to the outdoor pools and hot tubs, fire pits, fitness center, bathrobes and slippers, ac/heat, coffee maker, mini-fridge, and fresh coffee each morning near the lobby. On-site you'll also find a restaurant by the name of Anthera, and a spa, both of which I recommend. With 53 rooms, the property doesn't feel like just another standard hotel. What truly sets it apart though, is what lies just behind it, the lush riverside gardens. Ending your day sitting by the river, listening to the water move past as your thoughts quiet and your whole body softens. In the morning expect to see a lot of deer grazing in the grass areas. It's genuinely spellbinding. If the restaurant on property doesn't interest you there are other walkable options nearby and this property does not allow pets. Breakfast is available for an additional fee.
