After learning the age of my home, I was told that they would not work on it because it was "too old." What concerns me is that no one asked about any remodeling, updates, or improvements that may have been made to the property. The decision appeared to be based solely on the age of the home rather than its current condition. Additionally, I found their pricing to be significantly higher than other options I researched. Between the high markup costs and the unwillingness to consider my home's actual condition, I did not feel valued as a potential customer.

We decided to convert our wood burning fireplace to a gas insert. After we researched gas inserts,…read morewe had a good idea what we wanted. I called at least three companies. We got at least three estimates. None of them included the inserts we had seen online. We chose White Heating & Air Conditioning in Billings, 60 miles away. Tim came out to write the estimate. This was going to be a challenge. It's a big fireplace and the front is mortared in. An extra gas line was going to have to run the full length of the house. This meant someone was going to have to go under the house, a narrow crawl space. This was not going to be a pleasant job. Tim wrote an estimate and emailed it to us. He happened to be in the area on another job and asked to stop by. He had an idea. The idea didn't work out and we had to get a smaller insert. Tim wrote us another estimate. We agreed and gave them 50% down. In about two weeks, three guys in three vans arrived to do the job. These three young guys were on time, knowledgeable, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. The job is not finished because they had to take measurements to custom build the "surround" and that might take another couple weeks. They gave us a tutorial on the operation of the insert. It is working, we are warm and we are very happy.
