This is the spot I hit up after landing at MSY and heading to Gulfport MS. It give me a little break and a cup of coffee with some pastry at times. Located in a characteristic part of Slidell LA.

Ten, ten, ten across the board!!!!!!!…read more So I was passing through Slidell and asked a friend if he knew a good coffee spot that wasn't [insert coffee shop, you know the one]. And in that moment I was reminded why I rarely ask for recommendations because my taste runs a little too refined for most. Nevertheless I turned to Maps and typed in "coffee," and the first option was an immediate no. But the second one, the name alone, told me everything I needed to know. The only problem, it was the opposite direction I was headed and I was already running late. But I couldn't ignore that instinct. I had to see for myself. "Sorry boss, can't come in today. I was on my way to work and then a gentle fall breeze blew me in the direction of my destiny and reminded me it is a serious thing just to be alive on this fresh morning in this broken world!" Anywho, I'm so happy I stopped. The moment I walked in it felt like home, not in the corny sitcom way, but in that deeper unexpected kind of way. Like walking into a crowded room full of strangers and then seeing your homegirl that instantly makes you feel like yourself again and suddenly the day is yours. Mind you I hadn't even ordered at this point, but that's how good just walking inside made me feel. i felt like a mom that has been saying "you not getting that" all year then christmas day be grinning when baby open that present they been wanting!! Then there's the coffee, I'm still sipping my Beehive Latte now and it's fabulous. And I don't say fabulous often. I was going to go with a vanilla latte but since I sort of felt like I was in Adam and Eve's garden I wanted to try something new. The owner recommended the Crème Brûlée Latte but his wife overheard me going back and forth in my head (out loud) and suggested the Beehive since I like my coffee sweet but not overwhelming. This latte is perfect, pure perfection. I grabbed a chocolate croissant too because they looked delicious and they absolutely delivered. Flaky, golden and brown and no I'm not describing myself. The pastries all looked heavenly. Everything was perfect. Sure, I'm having an exceptionally good day already, maybe because of the weather, maybe because it's Friday, or maybe because I'm an attractive single 6'3 male and ready for eligible suitors. Either way, the service, their smiles, the coffee, the plants, everything was otherworldly. I'd go out of my way to come back. Wanna come with?

From the very first consultation, I knew we were in great hands, but they went above and beyond in ways I never could have imagined. Justin and I were immediately on the same page when it came to aesthetic and vision--so much so that we based much of our centerpiece and decor choices around his design suggestions. We even instructed our venue and wedding party to treat him as the final word on all things aesthetic on the day of the wedding. I didn't want anything to interfere with his stunning artwork! We received so many compliments on the event, but every single guest specifically mentioned the florals. I had a pretty specific vision for our flowers--I wanted bold colors, something non-traditional, and whimsical to fit our venue (Music Box Village). Justin truly brought that vision to life in the most breathtaking way. We knew we wanted to incorporate magnolia leaves, and he perfectly executed that with deep copper and dark green tones throughout the arrangements. We also wanted each floral piece to be unique and reflect the varied materials at the venue--iron, wood, ceramic, and more. Rather than a traditional floral arch, Justin created a 10-foot-tall magnolia tree-like installation, crafted from florals and greenery, which was nothing short of spectacular. He then designed different table arrangements that mirrored the main installation's elements. Instead of typical vases, Justin used an eclectic mix of ceramics, bowls, baskets, and more. It was unlike anything I've ever seen at a wedding--beautiful, romantic, and subtly "witchy" to match our Halloween weekend wedding theme. What truly sets Le Fleuriste apart is their ability to take an idea and translate it into a venue-wide ambient reality, all while maintaining 100% commitment to their craft. Leading up to the wedding, they sent several photos of the progress to ensure we were aligned on our vision, which made the process feel seamless despite the unique nature of the arrangements. While traditional wedding florals aren't our style, I have no doubt Le Fleuriste can handle any vision or event, and we would absolutely trust them again for any future occasion. I was lucky to have so many amazing vendors, but Le Fleuriste was BY FAR the best part of our wedding team. Justin and Chad listened intently to every detail I shared and somehow captured the perfect balance of beauty, elegance, and fun that reflected the magic and rustic charm of our venue, as well as the essence of our relationship. If you're looking for an artist who doesn't just deliver gorgeous arrangements but takes the time to understand your style and vision for a stress-free event, I cannot recommend Le Fleuriste enough. Thank you, Justin and team, for making our day unforgettable!
