Needless to say, I was in a severe panic mode. I found Michael on Yelp and based on the reviews, decided to take my laptop to him. In my mind, I was prepared to have to buy a new one even though this was only 1.25 years old. Michael said there were programs running in the background and that was the problem. He did a tune up and I had it back before he closed. If I could give more stars, I would!

This was my second visit to Computer Repair World - this time for my husband's computer. I was positive that his 9 year-old well-used computer was on its last legs, but Michael asked me to give him a chance to find out what was wrong. He has, once again, saved us from having to buy a new computer. Michael is both patient and kind, taking the time to explain exactly what the problem was and giving us advice to prevent problems in the future. I would never, could never go to anyone else.

He told me he didn't have tubes but could give me a little of his own that he uses for repairs. While at the shop, I also needed clips for a processor fan, and he gave me them as well. He didn't even charge me. He ended it with an old-fashioned handshake. In my opinion, this was great business on his part. I'll now be a customer for any computer needs because this proves to me he'd be fair with his prices. He was friendly and professional, and seems like an honest businessman running a local mom-and-pop shop.

Had issues with my Macbook Air with Wifi. While I tried my…read morebest to work with software restore functions, I was unable to fix on my own, and failed. I had erased my HD and was unable to load the OS. Took it to Matt and he was able to restore the OS, but was unable to fix the Wifi. He found corrosion on the board that may have damaged the hardware, and suggested that I could possibly get Wifi with an USB device, short of replacing the motherboard. He was right, and now, without having to replace the motherboard, I now have my computer working again with the USB Wifi. Because he was unable to fix the primary problem, he only charged me the initial diagnostic fee, despite the fact that he got my computer back to life after I killed it. He was most gracious in handling my issue with competence and professionalism, and I recommend him highly for anyone needing computer repair work.

Alfredo is the Jedi Master of electronics!! The man knows his shit period!…read more I've always been weary of third-party repair spots, why? I have no freaking clue and no valid reason not to use a repair center like this place. Maybe I'm conditioned to take my products only to apple and let them suck every last dollar out of my bank account for repairs. Bravo to apple for making me think only they can fix my products but I'm no longer fooled by that marketing tactic. Thankfully I decided to trust that someone has the ability to repair my apple products other than apple. I took my iPhone XS Max in for some major repairs; front, back and battery. Alfredo was up front about costs and turnaround times. I was explained my options and dangers of trying to save a quick buck in the long run. I trusted the Jedi Masters recommendations and my trust was not ill placed. My phone was masterfully repaired and warranties explained clearly. I'm super grateful to have come across this business and will most certainly call again if I need any electronic repairs. I didn't realize they even do video game consoles so next time I get freaking controller drift I'll call to see if they can fix that type of annoyance that seems to plague new gen console controllers. Giovanni replaced it perfectly. Good as new. Of course it was expensive but a heckuvalot more affordable than a new laptop! I was worried I wouldn't find a competent technician for this kind of delicate sophisticated electronics out here in the sticks, so I'm thrilled that 2nd Life could do this job and do it well. I guess I thought I'd have to take my laptop to Westchester or NYC, which would be pretty time consuming. I want to add that the first screen he received failed while still in his shop. So he had to order and install a second one, and I don't think he charged me any different even though it had to have been ~double the labor time. Plus - he obviously checked his work. And, he apologized for the delay, even though he didn't cause it. I don't know about you but a lot of things nowadays, people take shortcuts or don't care about the quality of work or just fail to do the simplest little checks to assure a job is done right. Would definitely recommend
