Fara on the other hand is centrally located, has a failry large selection for its size, decent prices, in addition to all the normal hardware store stuff they also have a decent sized selection of used commercial (and a few domestic) appliances, and parts to repair them too like motors and compressors, they also have a small selection of restaurant stuff, plates, glasses, coffee pots, etc. Some pet supplies, dogs, chickens, horses (i think). Chemicals from pretty dangerous like caustic soda and hydrochloric acid to the fairly benign things with 100's of uses like borax, and sulfur powder in bulk, and if all that wasn't enough, right outside they have tacos and transvestites 24/7-if thats your sort of thing!

There was a woman who distracted my friend and a man stole the items. This is the 3rd and recent occurrence in my small group of expat friends. All seniors. one other GF was robbed in the store. The other had her car broken into and her yorkie was stolen. The store management told my good friend that "this happens all the time". I am an expat, living here since 2006 and permante resident. This is appalling. The instore cameras are a complete joke. So you do have to wonder what is up and who is involved in the regular theft. And why this is not addressed. It is a disgrace. And going there is risky. I will never go there again and want other people to know this is a real risk. My friend filed a theft report with both the store and the municipal authorities. I needed a batch of the black/yellow storage totes and was shocked at the price- $7 each here compared to nearly triple that on Amazon or Walmart. The value alone makes it worth the trip. I ordered online for Pickup, expecting it to take the usual 1-2 hours... but nope. I got my "ready for pickup" text in 20 minutes. Super fast. The service at the pickup counter was smooth, and the area is easy to find. Just head to the left side after you walk in the main entrance. They also had a huge selection of totes in different sizes, which made it easy to grab exactly what I needed. My only small gripe? Like most Home Depot locations, the WiFi isn't great, so expect to rely on your data if you need to pull up your order. Otherwise, unbeatable prices, quick service, and tons of options. I'll definitely use Pickup again.

I'm a commercial account holder for 27 years, and I'm definitely not someone who returns items. In fact, I almost never write negative reviews, but this experience really deserved one. I purchased fence post for a job but realized it wouldn't fit in my two-seater car, so I had an employee process the return which we had the receipt for so no questions on product return!! When I went to use the $164 credit toward another purchase, they refused to allow it because the employee was with me had handled the return since I have a two seater car. Being a property manager I buy on workers and subcontractors to buy products not actually myself. What really topped it off is that I had the receipt, yet they still wouldn't help resolve the situation. For a commercial account customer with proof of purchase, that's just ignorant and obviously she has a major POWER TRIP with her store manager title. The manager, Graciela, showed very very poor customer service. Instead of trying to find a reasonable solution, she simply refused to help and shut the conversation down. Just keeping a very poor expression on her face. Wouldn't even try to help!! To make matters worse, the store was out of stock on multiple items, making the whole trip even more frustrating and I will never go to this store again!! I'd rather drive an extra 20 mins to Lowe's than return back to this Home Depot!! Overall, this location one of the worst customer service and poor inventory management. I'd recommend going to another Home Depot or Lowe's!!

The plumbing and electrical stock is really nice. Walk slow and view evey isle. You might be pleasantly surprised. Great hardware store!! There is always someone at the front of the store who will greet you and ask you if you need any…read morehelp. So each time one goes into the store one can receive complete individualized help. Someone will lead you to the product you ask for and if you have a couple other items on your list, the same person will lead you to the other items to make sure that you have everything you need. I greatly appreciate Jamul Ace Hardware's customer service.
