I have a client who gives me a Ruths Chris gift certificate every Christmas, so I am pretty familiar with their menu. It's a good meal. Honestly, they use so much butter I feel I taste more butter than beef. AJ's grass fed beef tastes like beef. I had about 3 ounces leftover and sliced it, warmed it just a bit and had it with a spinach salad today. So good. There's plenty of other unique and quality grocery items on the shelves that I doubt you'll find in Giant Eagle or Riverside. Very nice.

Our visit took place on their fourth day of being open, around 7pm in the evening. I will start with the environment we encountered. It was very, very busy. The lines were long, with a lot of people waiting around for their food that they ordered. After talking to some of the waiting customers, they mentioned that they had been waiting on the upwards of an hour for their order. You could tell the business was "new", and the workers were scurrying around. There was definite disorganization, it seemed. My family and I waited around 15-20 minutes for our orders, which only consisted of ice cream options, aside from apple dumplings. I am hoping they quickly work out the kinks in their procedures, as I would hate to see a great business opportunity go down because of stuff like that. People are not going to be forgiving forever with stuff like this. As for our order: everything was very good. We had a sampling of a little bit of everything. A slushie, a root bear float, a "holy swirl", a sundae, and some apple dumpling sundaes. I have to do a big shout out for the apple dumplings--they were EXCELLENT! If you're a fan of apple dumplings--make sure you try it! Their menu is impressive, with lots of options and goodies. Please see pictures I posted with menu, hours, and hard ice cream options. They also are great about alternative options for those with allergies. Lots of props for what they're trying to do here! I do recommend trying them... just be aware of the wait times currently with them being new. As a result of Visit PA's 2023 Scooped An Ice Cream Trail, we stopped by on our trip from Erie to…read morePittsburgh. We were definitely over hill over dale. We traveled through many small towns to find this ice cream shop. According to their Visit PA page, they are known for their nachos ... waffle cone (chips) and soft serve ice cream. We attempted to order medium cones. The staff warned us that they serve large portions. We ended up getting "small cones" (see picture) . Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs. Eventually, we conquered the cones. It was nice to see families, couple, and single people enjoying ice cream on a hot, sunny day. We shared a picnic table with a gentleman who was a hot fudge sundae expert. Apparently, he had already been to this location twice in the last week. He shared that he was celebrating his 60th high school reunion this year. Lots of parking in a gravel lot.
