I REPEAT, THIS COMEDY CLUB IS IN THE MALL! walk into the mall and its up stairs.

My family and I spontaneously came here for Moody McCarthey on a Friday night. As it so happens,…read moreMoody is from NYC, so we really loved his humor and jokes. I honestly couldn't tell if his overly-American jokes were funny to the locals. Do your research, I suppose. Comedy Nest is deep inside a large, old hockey arena, so make sure to give yourself enough time to get there and get your seats. Also, the bathrooms are nowhere near the comedy club itself, so be prepared to exit the comedy club if you need to use the bathroom. It is an adventure. It took through the 3 openers for someone to ask if we wanted something to drink. Small but fair beer options priced how you'd expect at a club (though perhaps not as atrocious as an American comedy club price). Fun venue and a good time. We got a very fair price for the level of humor and amount of laughs we got that night.

Balcony is also "sit wherever" so feel free to move around... but make sure you close out with your server! If you can find them! Once the show starts, I really didn't see anyone to grab me another drink:( It's a very intimate venue- there are no bad seats! Very picturesque too! The entrance is on the side street! There's a coat check for $3CAD and yes they take cards! Beware- there's a long line aftee to get your coat! The bathrooms are pitiful! Located up a bunch of stairs and then there's only 2 teeny stalls! For a venue, we need more please!

As an avid drag race watcher, I was so excited to visit a drag bar. I booked a ticket days in advance and planned a trip to Montreal around it. I get there at 11.50 for the lady boom boom haha thing.. go in and am waiting for a bar tender- mind you, I was waiting a while and the White patrons came up.. automatically the bartender, skipped me and went to them.. so, as more people come up, I wave my hands hi- to get attention. I feel this Asian lady Jam into my left side and I'm like wtf.. and she's like we have seats here and I am like okay, I get that but I just wanted a drink.. her white male friend and Asian male friend proceed to start yelling at me telling I am yelling at them on some Karen ish.. they proceed to try to push into me.. Now I am telling back them to back eff up because... I hadn't even seen them and don't know who these demons are. I ask the bartender.. she starts yelling at me.. so now my social anxiety is on level 1000 because i just wanted a drink. I move to the front to get away and then get a tap on my shoulder from this white woman claiming to be the owner of the bar, and says that I am standing where people are walking and I can't.. Mind you I am maybe the only black woman there as I came solo. So I say okay, and she says come with me.. i go to her thinking maybe she saw what happened and will have empathy but I get no apology and she says she will get me a drink.. At this point I want to go home because i don't trust you and what you've done to my drink, so I want my ticket money back and to go home. I attempt to speak to the lady at the front and the owner and get no sympathy no kindness and just feel as if it was my fault for just wanting to patronize this place. This is the most recent racist experience I've had but this one hurt because i truly love the gays and the gworls but realize they along with the whites don't like black women. So never again will stand up for what does concern me. Never again will I patronize a drag bar and honestly anywhere in Montreal. I am sick of being mistreated everywhere. Again, black women I beg you to stay away from this establishment. You will regret pouting your hard earned dollars into racism. And as I was watching the bartender, they don't even put more than a tiny bit of liquor to your drink.. I watched this man pour essentially juice into 27 dollar drinks. Thankfully I got my money back and have drag race at home. The Asian men- hate us- White gay men- truly hate us and as we know white women loathe us.. The black security guy at the front wasn't helpful, we know why.. I just beg you, patronize places that love black women... This place does not. This was not my first time there and honestly I regret the first timet

Even if that weren't the case, all the songs they performed were in English, and even regardless of that, it was ridiculously entertaining! My cousin surprised me by taking us all there and the performance quality was just absolutely top top tier. We ate, we drank, we danced in our seat a little, it was an amazing set! The queens were hilarious, gorgeous, and stellar performers. This is arguably one of the best drag shows I've ever been to to be honest. When you enter there is a little bar on the left, the ticket counter is at the back, and the bathrooms are to you right. Before our showing it was pretty crowded so we didn't get to see the actors perform some lively music in the lobby before entering the stage, but we did hear them which is still good. Our seats were on the left balcony which isn't bad but it's not the best. I think the floor seats looked much better (the view and the comfort). Seats are tightly packed and expect to get up a few times if people need to go to the bathroom and/or get in/out of their seats. The show was wonderful! Very well done and I have no complaints except that the main actor kept losing his Irish accent! I'd come back to see another show.

The oysters were served on ice, with lemon slices, and homemade sauces in dropper bottles. The oysters were so fresh and so tasty that we ended up ordering a second round. The drinks were tasty and the servers were helpful! I chose the Mercredi for my drink. The server forewarned that they didn't have the carbonized version of the drink -- but it was still delicious! It caught my eye because it was plum gin based. It also had chai tea syrup, apricot liqueur, lemon juice. I was a little hesitant to get it at first because I was worried the cinnamon or chai flavor would overwhelm the drink but that wasn't the case at all. All of the ingredients balanced each other very well. It also helped that our server said it was her favorite drink on their menu. The location was super cute. Lots of seating at small tables and bar seating. I was a fan of the bathroom! The women's bathroom was very clean, with a cool LED and mirror above the sink.
