On my first solo holiday, I was a bit concerned about what I would find to do on a Saturday night…read more When I was trying to find my hotel, I happened to stumble across this place (which has moved from the address which Yelp has, but I am not too sure of the new address). There was a sign outside for an English improv night that night and I made a mental note for later. As it happened, it was round the corner from my hotel so was a no brainer. The entry fee was 80 kroner. At the time of my visit, this equated to about £9. The drinks were really affordable - 55 kroner for a double G&T. Everyone had warned me about how expensive Copenhagen is, but to me, this isn't much more expensive than going out in Manchester. The comedy itself was great. I was chatting to one of the guys who was in the show, and he told me that they run the night on a Monday too. Well worth a visit when in Copenhagen!

I haven't been here for improv comedy, but I stopped by this afternoon for a pick-me-up, and was…read morevery pleased by the decor and ambiance, the service, and of course, the coffee. I ordered at the counter, then sat on a couch that was situated on what I presume is the stage for improv, and in a few minutes received my double latte (30 kr). For the next hour or so, I just sat, sipped, and relaxed. I'd definitely revisit this cafe for the great coffee and environment--and hopefully the improv!

Like any large museum, it would be impossible to see it all. However, this museum has a LOT to…read moreoffer. It's is mostly a historical museum and covers the time from the earliest relics of the Danes to modern times. The physical museum used to be a castle, and that explains why there are so many rooms, one after another. I recommend looking at the overall map and pick a floor and a place to start, based on what interests you the most. Then, allow yourself to get lost in terms of going from one room to another. There are visual and historical treasures throughout the museum, so it would be nearly impossible to NOT find things of interest. I loved seeing the old crowns, jewelry, and clothing, as well as Viking horns for drinking, old weapons, and the creative way things are presented. I was impressed by this museum because they have used modern museum techniques to display objects and explanations. For example, in one room, they had talking paintings to convey information, or a knight on a horse, which makes horse noises out of the blue. They also have some very creative temporary exhibits, which you should check out. When I was there, there were very interactive displays that were all about money and how wealth is distributed around the world. It was thought provoking, as well as fun. When you need a rest, there is also a cafeteria overlooking the inside of the museum. Face it, you are not going to see it all. There is too much and you won't have the time or stamina to "do it all." But that's OK. It's definitely worth it to buy a ticket ($22 USD) to spend two hours or so, as we did.

Very historical museum, display from early relics to modern times . Plenty to see, to learn and to…read morediscover. Great layout and it nearby Christiansborg Palace.

People also in Denmark tend to be quite cool about famous people so no one is pushing towards the stage and if you go early enough you can secure yourself a good spot. I have been only to store vega, which can accommodate quite a lot of people but still it is not a huge venue. It keeps it's simplicity and togetherness. There are two bars downstairs, one inside and one outside the main area. Upstairs there is a balcony which has seated area, but is too far from the stage in my opinion. Have seen a lot of artists here like Yann Tiersen, Of Monsters and Men, The Lumineers and The Vaccines! The garderobe costs 20 dkk so have some cash with you for that. The toilets for men are on ground floor and for women on first floor. I thought first that they favour only the men in Vega but the key is to find your way to the next floor! You can check on the page of vega for upcoming concerts! They are mostly in winter time so keep an eye!

Saw Interpol at the VEGA on their El Pintor Tour in Feb 2015…read more Nice little venue. Easy access, plenty of space to get a beer and not expensive. Having seen the band in a number of venues, the acoustics of Vega were sharp, similar to what you would expect from a Music Hall. The crowd were just a little more subdued than at other Interpol shows, but in general - one of my favorites. And if one of your favorite artists happens to play the Vega, its a great reason to see Copenhagen.
