BUT, I digress. I still end up watching the new shows. Now the bad- The shows I like- I DVR & skip the commercials. So what about watching live TV? Stop playing so many of the same shows reruns! Are you trying to target the broke ass people that can not afford a box set? Reruns are OK, but VARIETY! Get rid of the infomercials! Yes, they can be comedic. However, infomercials are not comedy. If someone up in the middle of the night & wants comedy- you are pushing your target audience towards searching YouTube... & that is Daniel's job. read more

Recently tried this restaurant and found the menu wanting. We started off with their special, called "The Daily Show". Apparently they serve a modified version of the same thing each day, although the execution of the relatively simple dish is superior to that of other eateries in the area. As an appetizer, it is a bit heavy, although I understand that varies with the daily preparation. We moved on to an unusual French-Irish fusion dish called a "Colbert" although I was unclear on how to pronounce it. In truth, after delving into it a bit, this dish is FAR more Irish and the "French" is a mere superficial veneer. Overall the dish is well-seasoned, although I understand the sides change frequently and can sometimes be quite bland. Toward the end of the evening we sampled a Tosh.0. This was a smorgasbord of re-heated internet finds and generally inedible morsels. The plating and presentation, however, are really the point. While on first glance this seems to be a recipe based loosely on older family favorites like Beef Bergeron, it often has more meat, although my most recent servings seemed a bit weak. Sometimes the dish is executed with far more broth and seems a bit thin, but when done well it reminds me of a soup John Henson used to make. I understand this dish alone earned the restaurant a Saget rating of 20 out of 30. Although this seems low, a twenty is the absolute highest either Saget or Tosh allow. Sadly we ended the evening with a desert made from Brickleberries. This haphazardly structured dish is constructed from pure offensiveness, imported from South Park, CO, but fails to be balanced with sufficient humor or observation. While skewered sacred cow is one of my favorite dishes, the one served here lacked sufficient sweetness to be palatable. It arrived stale and unappetizing in a decades old pic-a-nic basket, which mysteriously disappeared shortly after being served by a polite young bear named Boo Boo. It reminded me a lot of a dish I was quite fond of when it was served at Fox, but became overly salty and disappointing when prepared by IFC: Rabbit Puppet with a side of Green Ginger. read more

Recently, I went to "Roast of Bob Saget" taping at the WB Studios for Comedy Central. The promoting crew were very helpful as my girlfriend and I were late to the audience call time. We somehow got placed in the front and I got to sit with Alan Thicke (the dad of Growing Pains, and the dad of singer, Robin Thicke). And got to meet Lori Laughlin (hot lady!) and that was pretty cool. The roast comedians knew their stuff and didn't have to do any re-takes. The entire taping was two and a half hours for an hour show. After the taping, we got to go to the VIP post-party which was cool. Celebs and normal folks like me eating the same mash potatoes on the same bench. That's all I wanted, was some food, and were the food there DELICIOUS! read more

I had a chance to visit Comedy Central this week. My advice: Don't go there after MIDNIGHT you won't be amused by this premeditated inorganic joke. It's far from a DEVINE HOUSE PARTY people claim it to be and the lingering stench of moronic WORKAHOLICS is enough to make you gag. The location is horrible. It's Comically Centralized in a very lame, desolate COMMUNITY and is no where near the impeccable, epic and inevitably awesome town of SOUTH PARK! I don't see how anyone can channel themselves and DAILY SHOW up to this site, even if the COLBERT REPORT agrees. I ordered the KEY & PEELE. Although it took awhile to get into, it seemed original but very stale and a bit over played. Warning: Do not peek INSIDE AMY SCHUMER! Its gelatinous mass is repulsive. It must have been marinated in a yeasty cream sauce. When served, it seemed to have wilted and reeked of a pungent, nauseating aroma. I had the BRICKLEBERRY for dessert. It's disgusting, unimaginative and leaves a bland after taste. OH! And another POINT: Stay away from the men's room. There is TOSH all over the walls. read more

I congratulate and applaud the emmy worthy shows on Comedy Central for the quality in their reporting- even though it is meant as a joke on the level of Weekend Update from SNL - it is still worthy of emmy status and praise as bringing real info to adults who would otherwise not be listening or paying attention to the news. Sadly, this is probably the best channel for news in the United States. Other channels either lack the chutzpah to do long-form in depth reporting or are merely megaphones for their respective parties. Paid programming is not comedy or central to anything. You could literally put any show where they are and it would be a better use of the time slot, and you guys have has some horrible shows over the years. Also, movies are cool to play once or twice, playing the same overly censored movie non stop for a month isn't enjoyable. I feel if Comedy Central tries to pick up one of your movies that is where you need to sulk over the death of your sad carrier as a director. Comedy Central is an overall farce of a network in terms of creative programming. Comedy Central is merely highlight reel from other shows, movies (often classics- admirably), and the internet. No greater example of this station credo is Tosh.0. Although Comedy Central is not one of my programmed Favorite channels, and I rarely check what is on Comedy Central, I do record your most flagrant show. The striking difference on Tosh.0 is the incredible writing. This writing lends to creative skits, which are appropriate in length. Comedy Central has a combination of excellent shows such as Tosh.0 and South Park along with some crappy ones like Brickleberry. If you don't have a job, you can watch old movies that used to be funny 20 years ago on during the day. Also, if you watch one episode of tosh with your parents, there will never be such a thing as too much info in your family again. read more
